Belmont Village

My father in law requested a bigger bed as he prone to fall, unfortunately they could not accommodate as we were there for only short term. Very clean and well maintained facility, plenty of places to Sit and everything kept so clean and accecable Staff was very courteous and friendly, ready to help for any assistance W were new to care facility, my father in law said he need to wait sometimes for assistance. But nursing staff was very responsive and reported any incidents, as my father in law is high fall risk My it is first time for our family to admit any care facility. It was little emotional and also confusion for my inlaws. Belmont village is great facility but we were not ready mentally and emotionally to opt for a care facility then. My inlaws preferred a home care option for now

As far as respite care, they weren't the best. I had to wear a knee brace and nobody wanted to either learn or pay attention to how it needed to be done. The place was short on staff and it really affected the type of care you received. I was OK most of the time, but I would never want to go there if I was in the shape of most of the residence. I don't believe that because you have dementia or Alzheimer's that you should be treated that way, like I said it wasn't everybody but they really do need to clean house. Some of the bells have been there so long they need to retire because they can't handle an overweight person in a wheelchair. It was just not the best experience in my point of view. Some of the staff were great and others were awful. They are under new management and when that settles down and they get enough staff that they're not short it might be different but at this point I would not recommend them to other families.

We asked them to get her a new bed because the one in the room was too high for her to comfortably get in and out of. Two or three days later she fell getting out of the bed and wound up in the emergency room. I would recommend them with reservations

Overall our family has had a good experience with Belmont Village RPV.

I toured this facility. Staff was very friendly. The facility was clean. The cost was higher than some others in the area.

The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. There has not been one person in the staff that I have not found to be great. Overall I would recommend Belmont Village Encino to others, but with some caveats. I do not think it is the absolute best, but at this point, it is the best fit for us.

The community was under construction and the outside space was not available for roaming and that was important for our loved one. All the buildings seemed the same like an apartment building and we thought this might confuse our loved one.

If we had to do this process all over again we would not pick Belmont Village. Due to the extensive price here there is a hesitancy with a risk of losing cliental because of the resident saying no - for example we wanted out loved one to have assistance with bathing, eating and changing clothes. When the staff would come in and if our loved one did not want to do either of those things - the staff would simply say okay and leave. We then had to pay additional services for an outside companion to come and make sure our loved one was receiving the proper care.

During our tour at Belmont Village of Buckhead, we met the Director of Resident Activities, and she was phenomenal. But as we toured, the facility itself, we did not see the level of interaction or engagement with the residents. An activity was going on, and not may people were there participating. There were a lot of people in their rooms. And we were looking for a more social experience for our loved one with people up and about.

Regarding Belmont: Limited help with toilet, and dressing. We were even there several times to witness when she rang for help no one came. Shared concerns with director at least two times regarding lack of attention to meds. Said they have more of a café style to disperse meds where residents come to them. Didn't work for mom. I didn't feel the housekeeping was very good. The activities were very good. Staff was great otherwise.

Belmont Village is a lovely place. It is all updated and has more of a hotel feel to it rather than a warm cozy environment. The suites were gorgeous, they had hardwood floors in them. One of the main downfalls was that my loved one would have had to have all of the meals in the dining room, they did not have enough staff to bring her meals to her room. She is non-ambulatory so this would have been hard for her. The woman showing us around was knowledgeable, but there were times that I felt she was not listening to me and what we really needed for my loved one. She was also way too pushy and wanted us to make the decision right then and there. When I told her we needed time, she would not leave me alone and kept emailing me and calling me and I really did not like that.

The person who I was talking with in regards to this community I did not feel like they were as friendly as I wanted them to be. This community as also a little more pricey than the budget that we had set for my loved one.

It had more of a corporate feeling and seemed more like a sales pitch.

I feel like I am being price gauged and that I may be overcharging for where I am now. This building is older and we are being charged so high which is just to much. We may have to move due to the charges. Some of the things going for this community is that they have staff that have been there for a very long time and they are the gems that are helping in this community. They understand how wonderful it can be there how good it could be. I am very unhappy with the new employees that are coming in. The resident occupancy is also low which I don't like.

Overall it's physically a very nice facility and very clean. The overall staff is friendly and mostly attentive. I don't hear my loved one complain about the food. If asked if I would recommend Belmont Village, the answer would be yes and no. I don't know that any other facility of this quality would be any different. I think their ratio of staff to residents is good, but we've had issues with attentiveness - things like sheets not getting changed every week, other residents wandering into the room and then an article of clothing will be missing (nothing big stolen), etc. There seems to be a real lack of communication between management and staff. We've addressed things with management, and they say they'll take care of it. But even if it filters down to the staff, things don't change. So there's just an internal issue with communication that we're not happy with. But overall, my loved one seems to be relatively happy there, and it's a nice facility. They have good standards in place for Covid protection. So we wouldn't think about moving her. But there are definitely some things that need to be addressed.

Be careful and have a well documented plan of care before moving into the community. Make sure to closely monitor your loved one's care once in the community.

Our family had a virtual experience and they did not do that great of a job, they did not really take us around the community so we didn't get to see different rooms.

Very clean there. The people who take care of your loved one are extremely caring. they would give a 5. The administrative staff are disconnected. They would get one to two stars. They were very anxious nad nice to you trying to get you on board. But once you were on board, you wer edropped like ahot patato. And that was very hurtful. A lot of the people there are wanting to jump ship, especially based on what they get for the price they pay. My lvoed one wasn't jazzed about the food. Activiites were their very low point. Those were very much lacking, and a large part of why she moved. I did tell this to the director, and he agreed with me. But he didn't do anything about it. Basically nobody is out there being a cheerleader and heling the new residents get involved with one another. Covid lockdown was a factor, and occasionally the did nave activites with socail distancing. But overlal not enoguh staff to maek thigns happen. My loved one was so unhappy. She would tell me when she walked out of the door every day she would say "I hate this place. "

beautiful facility, but the food is only fair. The service is not only fail. At the prices, I expected high quality food and an great menu. The service and the food is dinner food,

Once your loved one moves in we have not been able to see them because of covid. Communication is not very good and we have had trouble getting them to return our calls. I would recommend this community to others.
