Belmont Village

this was a very nice place and they seem to really care for their residents. I like that they have a program for their Parkinson's residents. I like that they have assisted living and 2 levels of dementia care. director was so nice.

This community was number 3 on our list. What we needed was that my loved one liked to take walks outdoors so we wanted a community that would allow for my loved one to be outside and enjoy himself. This location had that but it did not work out in the end for us.

This community was nice but there was just another community that made more sense. This community was also a little more expensive than what we were looking for for my loved one.

My mother is in independent living. and she likes her apartment, the building is modern and comfortable, and the food and food service is pretty good. The activities list is quite varied, and the management responds to suggestions from the residents. But all through the summer, they were short-staffed; rooms weren't getting cleaned and they had to cancel various activities. The residents who need assistance to get to meals, etc., have to wait long times to get a response to their calls. Now that it is practically October, this issue has improved somewhat. They're cleaning the rooms, but they're still short on staff for the resident's activities. Today (a Sunday) they cancelled the church runs. What's it going to be like during the holidays when the few remaining staff members start taking time off to spend with their families? Activities are an extremely important part of the social, mental, and physical health care that they are supposed to be providing.

My mother was a resident at Belmont for 1.5 years. The facility was beautiful and very well maintained. Lots of events for the residents. I always felt the facility was safe and secure at all hours. All employees were always a pleasure to talk with. The care and compassion my mom received in "The Neighborhood" was beyond exceptional. I can't say enough about the nurses and the staff in "The Neighborhood". Very caring. I always felt they went above and beyond for all the residents. They deserve a big paycheck. My family visited my mom at least 6 out of 7 days and got to know staff pretty well. This memory care unit was a well oiled machine. Residents followed a daily routine with lots of activities, events, and trips. This was a great place for my mom! My disappointment came with the Administration when communication regarding medical changes affecting monthly care charges were not delivered in a timely manner. Then, after my mom passed (after spending thousands of dollars for living at this facility), the Administration never acknowledged her passing to the family in any form. Very disappointing!! Overall facility and care was great.

My loved one used to live in Belmonte Village. We thought it was a really nice community, and they seemed to have more than enough staff members, especially in the kitchen. However, we felt my loved one was too far away from family, and we wanted to mover him closer to us.

This is a beautiful looking larger community. The people we met were friendly and helpful. They offer transportation and they seem to offer a nice variety of activities.

We really liked this community. It was very lovely from the inside to the outside. The inside was so nicely furnished and the lighting was good very bright. The outside has a wonderful fenced in area with tables and chairs to sit at and eat or just enjoy the company. The staff was very friendly and nice. However, the pricing I thought was too expensive and was out of our budget range.

My mom is in the Memory Unit at Belmont Village Memphis and I am very satisfied with the care that she is receiving there. The staff is very attentive and well trained and they keep me informed and answer all my questions right away. Her room and the community are very clean. They make sure that my mom takes part in the activities that they offer, and I would like to see her get a little more involved in the exercise class as well. She will be 95 years old soon.

I thought that this place was nice and had a lot of great amenities available to all of the residents. The staff was kind and made sure to answer any questions I had for them about there community. It just was not as nice as some of the other places I had looked at and in the end was just not the right fit for her.

They were a good community and in the mater of trying to fit into what was being offered and finding a good fit for brother was a new experience to me. On the tour they were pretty much professional and friendly. I went through the whole community. It was helpful to have a list of communities to visit from A Place For Mom. This was not the right fit.

We chose this community for my father.He was very resistant to move out of his home so he has been very critical of the community. The biggest complaint he has is it takes the staff 10-15 to respond to his call buttons. This is especially frustrating if it is meal time because he becomes grumpy when he's hungry. I try to leave prepared snacks in his room so he is more comfortable. They also have a bistro downstairs that offers light snacks such as Coffee water, fresh fruit and breakfast pastries. I've eaten there a few times and it is bland.That's understandable though because they are trying to cater to everyone.There's a good mix of food and he's tried a few things he didn't like but overall he enjoys the food. He's starting to join in on some of the activities such as events and history lessons.They also play music in the afternoon of all genres.It's nice that he is participating now because he wasn't at all when he moved in. We chose this place because it's great for assisted living patients because they have a nurse on staff on every floor.

I had a good tour of this community. It is a good community, and from what I saw they do a good job with the cleanliness of the community. The staff was very friendly, and nice. It was a good experience, I did not have any problems with my tour. Unfortunately their rates were a little to high for our budget.

This looked like a nice clean community when I visited. The people I met were nice. I would recommend this community, however it did feel more like a convalescent home

Everything is going very well for my mother. I really like this facility and everybody is very nice and kind. They do a good job with keeping everything nice and clean. The staff is very helpful and attentive. She is trying a few activities like bingo, and sing a longs. The food is decent. Overall everything is working out very well.

Overall a good place

My family was grateful for the prompt responses when we inquired about relocating our Mom to Belmont. Some of the initial promises were not kept but the staff were collaborative in problem solving when we approached them with our concerns. Family was consistently present during the transition but the true test will be how care is occurring on future visits when we drop in. My Mom is sad about leaving her former living arrangements at Brookdale but her condition warranted increased expertise with memory care. We are hopeful Belmont can deliver on their promises. To date, the PALS have been attentive, patient and caring which we, as her out of town children, deeply appreciate.

I have a friend that moved here a few months ago and they really liked it. Not as friendly as one would hope, but very clean.

My mother has not resided at Belmont Village long enough for me to rate all services. In general i am very happy I moved my mother here. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have alerted me to problems and are working on solutions.
