Belmont Village

We really like it so far! It took my loved one a bit of time to adjust, but now that she has settled in she really seems to be enjoying it as well. The people here are exceptionally nice, and the care they provide is very good. They take great care of the residents, and they like to make sure the family stays included as well! They have a lot of activities and amenities, and do a great job with the food. Really the only problem we've had is some confusion when it comes to their billing process. Overall it is a very nice place, and we would definitely recommend them!

I am very pleased with the environment, care and available activities at Belmont Village, Green Hills. My brother has received excellent care there and his medical, physical and mental condition has greatly improved. The staff and service are exceptional and the dining service is superior.

Belmont Village Johns Creek is a good place for your love one to live. The staff that help your loved one are great. We feel Communication between some employees and family members needs to be improved. The receptionists are great. Always helpful and smiling. If you need anything, ask the receptionist, they follow through. The residents seem to be happy and smiling all the time. Their dining room is spacious for the residents. The food is good. My father in-law was impressed with the dinning room and food. We were told they had gardening for the residents, and my father-in-law was looking forward to this, but they don't let the residents care for the plants after they are planted. We were disappointed. He doesn't play games and this was something he could, and would relate to. So far my father-in-law is happy, and that's all that counts. We feel he is getting the care he needs. Overall we would recommend Belmont Village.

This place was great - very homey and lots of activities. Great staff. But also the most expensive. They were hesitant about taking my father as a resident because he is combative. So overall we decided to cross this place off the list.

Very nice environment. Pretty decor. I liked the fact that it is smaller and all on one level. The intermix of the assisted and independent has pros and cons, but I do like the 24/7 nurse availability and the option for more than one meal. The memory care neighborhood was so big! I liked that it had room for people with dementia to move around if they are ambulatory. The amenities were nice as well and the staff was friendly. I came on a sunday when I know there is usually less staff, but there was a nurse, several PALs, the Executive director, and a maintenance supervisor as well. The floor plans are nice- several options. It seemed secure to me.

On the value – it costs a lot – so it’s hard to rate – just going on the cost – I’d have to give them a three. They have a great memory care program. They divide ‘circle of friends’ activities to cognitive levels – this is one of the reasons we chose this community.

Loved that first point of contact is with licensed social worker Debbie. She was knowledgeable, personable, and helpful in assessing Mom's personality type. Facility is good, and all the staff and management I met were very personable and sincerely interested in knowing Mom. They have a unique, interesting program for brain health called 'Circle of Friends'. It looks very good; however, I do not think Mom would participate. It would seem too much like being back in school for her. All that she enjoys now is talking with people, watching TV, eating, and watching people or scenery. The basic assisted living program may be more for her.

I toured Belmont Village before it opened, so I cannot comment on whether or not residents seemed to be happy. I will say that every staff member greeted me with a smile, and they all seemed very committed to providing residents with a positive experience that enriched their bodies, minds, and souls. Their memory program is outstanding - they have a fully detailed and themed schedule for every single day of the year - I think it was called "Circle of Friends." The activities are specifically catered for those with memory impairment. All of the room layouts seemed comfortable, and the interior and exterior of the building are sooo beautiful. My only concern would be that it was a bit confusing to get around.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. It’s a restaurant style menu. The servers are very kind – even knowing they’re not getting a tip. They always greet me when I get there. They know my mother’s name. The only thing that concerns me are mechanical difficulties with the building from time-to-time and they work very quickly to rectify it. We liked the smaller size.

They have been very good, and we are very happy with them. They are pricey, and the program seems like it is a little more than it really is. It's been a tough transition. They really did a very good job getting her acclimated.

Belmont Village is great, convenient, close to my home which makes it easy to visit my Mom more frequently. They have a lot of activities that my Mom participates in and I think she is getting a better quality of life than before. The staff treats the residents with dignity and doesn't embarrass them....just handles any situation at hand without letting others know anything is wrong. The administrative staff is great; they were the ones that reached out to us most when making decisions and continue to help me with any questions/situations with my Mom. A bit pricey, but well worth it. Knowing my Mom is in better care than I could give her, means the world to me! I would recommend Belmont to anyone looking for a place for an elder relative.

It’s nice. The food is pretty good. There is enough parking. We haven’t had any trouble with the laundry service at all. We picked it because it was the one my mom liked the best. They are pet friendly and I think they’re clean and friendly.

I like them a lot. The quick move resulted in a few issues, but they are resolved quite quickly. They have levels of care instead of individual add ons, making this a really good value. The food is ok, and they are able to accommodate special diet needs. I don't have to stay on top of them like I have in previous places.

We toured this location when we were looking into care options for our loved one. We were very impressed by what we saw here! The facility itself looked very nice, and all of the staff that we met seemed friendly and professional. This was our second choice when it came down to the final decision. This place was a bit too large for our tastes, and we decided our loved one might do better in a smaller community.

The staff is exceptional here! The food is not so great.. that's still up in the air. I definitely think that they could improve on their communication with the family. They call me when I need to know something, but sometimes just a general check-in call would be nice as well. I know that they recently hired someone to help with that though. We mainly chose them because they have a 24-hr nurse on site. However, that may have been a little over promised, since it can take the nurst 45 minutes to come at night. Overall, we are very happy though. They have a good staff to resident ratio.

My loved one hasn't been here long, but so far they seem to be doing a good job. We haven't run into any particular issues. It's a clean and well kept facility, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Although we had a few issues and things started a little rocky for us here, this is a very nice community overall and we're very pleased with it now that our issues have been cleared up. Shortly after our loved one moved in we has issues with a small amount of money from her room going missing (and they did warn us about keeping valuables in her room simply due to the nature of a memory care community). We also had an issue near the start of her stay where they took over 30 minutes to respond to her call-button. Both of these issues made me worried about the quality of the care here, but they really stepped up and have since proven themselves to be a safe and trustworthy community. They have a group called the Circle of Friends, which specializes in making sure their dementia patients participate in mentally stimulating activities every day.

Overall they do a very good job here, I'd give them high marks on all of the categories. One aspect of their service that I like in particular is the continuity offered for memory care patients; residents can be kept in the same room even as their care needs advance. It is also nice how the staff take initiative to make sure people are leaving their rooms to make it to meals and activities.

Overall I think this is a nice place. It's an attractive place, and the staff are all friendly and helpful. My loved one feels safe here, and from what I've heard she really enjoys the bingo! I've heard a few complaints from her about noise at night, but I don't know if she's hearing the staff or other residents. Other than we haven't had any issues.
