Belmont Village

Belmont Village Encino is great. My mother and father got there and my mother fell and broke her hip. It was nobody's fault but she had to go to the hospital. My father has significant dementia and was left there alone since my mother went to the hospital and the staff really took good care of him there. The food was good. It met all their needs. They are now both in intensive rehab to get better and hopefully be able to come back to Belmont Village. They actually encourage my father to get out and do things at this facility. It has been a good experience.

Our experience with Belmont Village Sabre Springs has been very positive. The facility itself is very nice, and all the staff there are extremely friendly and helpful.

Belmont Village Oak Park was great facility. The only thing that I would say needs improving is when it came time for the nurses to give medication to my dad we had to hunt them down. They were not very good about that. Other than that everybody was just great there. The staff were very attentive.

Belmont Village, Sabre Springs is a delightful place for loved ones. We recently checked my 93 year old mother in an independent unit this September and in less than 6 weeks, she's engaged in new activities, road trips, and attending the well organized concerts they have every weekend. We especially like the Greek chef who comes out to chat with her in Greek. It makes her feel welcome, especially since living in San Diego is new to her after recently being widowed. That's a big deal for that tough cookie. The staff is great, especially Erik and Jack, who made sure all the features in her unit worked flawlessly. Thanks guys! Lastly, Inan, the Exec Director, is a wonderful leader. Everyone loves working for her and she's sincerely interested in the quality of care her residents get. This is the place to go if you senior elder care!

Helpful personalized care. Activities that engage residents with dementia in a loving atmosphere. All the staff treat each resident as though they are a member of their own family. I feel very comfortable leaving my parent there knowing they are safe and comfortable.

We are so grateful to have our mom at Belmont Village. She had been at another memory care center for about 4 days and was miserable, crying, angry, and just so unhappy. It became quickly very clear that it was not just a transition period, but that it not a good fit for our mom who has dementia but still very high functioning physically. When we met with Zack at Belmont Village, he showed us around and we immediately noticed everyone smiling and happy - the staff, the residents, the support care ... it was just a wildly different atmosphere from where my mom had been. We went out and got her, brought her in to show her Belmont Village, she agreed that it was a much better fit, and we were able to pull her out of one facility and bring her to Belmont Village within a 48 hour turnaround. The staff really worked hard to make this happen, and we are so grateful - my mom is so much happier at Belmont! She has activities and is settling in and transitioning well. It is such a huge weight from my sister and I to know that not only is she getting great physical and emotional care, but she's getting a great environment and new friends. Thank you to everyone at Belmont Village! We finally feel at peace with where she is living!

Overall we have had a very positive experience with Belmont Village Cardiff. The move in process was a little rocky mainly just because everything happened so fast but she is more or less settled in now and doing well. It is a nice facility and everyone there is super friendly.

The people at Belmont Village Sabre Springs did a great job. It turned out that my mother in law was not quite ready to make the move. She went in and then quickly moved out and back home. We will definitely revisit them in the future should the need arise though.

Our experience at Belmont Village has been very positive. Their staff has made the transition for my wife's 95 year old mother quite easy. Belmont Village is a very clean facility and has all of the amenities that my mother-in-law needed to make her excited about living alone again since her husband of 70 years just passed away. She has always been a very social person and we felt that living at Belmont Village would provide opportunities for her to meet new friends and indeed it has. She is already getting involved in the bridge groups and music events, she loves the food and the restaurant dining experience, and her new hair salon is right next door to her apartment! My wife and her brother feel that we truly picked the best senior living facility for their mom!

Overall I think they do a great job at Belmont Village. I'd give the staff the highest rating possible, they're very friendly, professional, and helpful. The entire place just has a very positive atmosphere, it's clean and well kept. I would highly recommend them!

Belmont Village Circle of Friends dementia program is by far the best in Austin. I say that with the experience of having to find dementia help for both of my parents, my mother's downhill slide starting 7 years after my dad's, giving me 12 years’ experience at 7 different Austin assisted living centers. Of them all, Belmont Village is by far superior on every aspect from facilities to care to food and parking. It has truly been a Godsend to our family. Mother's been there a year now and has not deteriorated but instead has improved cognitively and physically, which we had been told wasn't possible. She now initiates conversations and can sign her name again after losing these skills for a while. Unlike the places where the caregivers stay on their cell phones while assisting clients, Belmont's staff is dedicated and attentive. Their programs are outstanding. If an activity is listed on a schedule, you can count on their staff to follow through and do it with love and enthusiasm. They have daily exercise with a personal trainer, water aerobics and cool crafting projects, but most important to us are the relevant and contemporary mental exercise games that are actually fun to participate in, even for visiting family members. These range from trivia games to crafts however they are never infantilizing or contrived as they often were at Mom's prior places. Belmont Village has helped our family honor and care for mother as she deserves. They have many family holiday functions and entertainment events and consistently great food that if it were a restaurant, would be one of the best in Austin. They've deleted high fructose drinks and fatty snacks, which are the mainstay diet at most assisted living facilities. It costs are on par with the other facilities were Mom was, however pricewise, you get far more care and action here for your money than you do elsewhere. Double rooms & a roommate can help you save and rest assured their intake staff keeps their word. If they say no price increase for a year, they mean it. They also have a hospitalist doctor from a nearby hospital serving the facility who is now Mom's primary care physician. This is a medical care option that has benefited Mom's health tremendously and made a transition between a hospital stay back to Belmont as seamless as possible. As a frequent visitor, I've made friends with many of the residents who live in the independent living apartments. Most are delighted with the facility, the grounds, the food and the activity options. I wouldn't hesitate to move my parents here from any other facility ASAP as Belmont Village Westlake Hills is by far the best we have found. The only down side is they offer no skilled nursing, however they do work with other facilities when needed.

After touring 5 different facilities in the East Louisville area, I knew Belmont Village was my 1st choice. From the very beginning, my mother has received the best of care. She enjoyed the lifestyle of her independent apartment in the early years. Now that she needs more care due to Dementia, she is leading a healthy and happy life in The Neighborhood. The entire staff treats her like family, from the nurses, to the aids, to the executive director. Daily activities are well planned and creative. She has enjoyed painting and live music. The meals are excellent as well. The chef and his staff do an amazing job for the residents. Holidays are always very special, under the direction of the Activities Director. The atmosphere is always cheerful, and the decorations for the holidays always bring a smile to my mother's face. The parties often include the families, which is a joy. I could not ask for a better place for my mother. She deserves the very best, and Belmont Village is just that.

After my dad passed away, my mom who had mild dementia was having a tough time at her former residence. We moved her to Belmont Village after looking at a number of options and visiting many of them without appointments. Belmont had a warmth about it that was unmatched. The care and concern level of the staff is exceptional. I've also noticed that they seem to be able to retain their staff which makes a real difference in the customer experience. The Circle of Friends program provides the routine necessary to help my mom be her best despite dementia

The only visible drawback to this facility is that it is further away from my home. Otherwise it would be a contender, at the appropriate time.

The Belmont organization provided everything we needed to move our mom quickly into her new home. We were introduced to a moving company who took care of all the moving in details, including helping me arrange the room and hang pictures. The kind and caring staff took our mom in the morning, integrating her immediately into her Circle of Friends group while we moved her things. She was doing so well on that day that we were able to show her her room, all set up and ready, before we left. We waited the suggested 3-4 days before returning to check on her to find she had quickly made many friends, was smiling, laughing and in general really ejpnjoying herself. It has now been 3 months as I write this review that she moved in. I'm very pleased to report all is going well beyond my hopes. I am thrilled with the level of attention and care she is receiving. A huge relief to me and my family members

This is a nice facility. I think they are short on nursing staff because it took a hour for them to come and get the medicine for my parents to start administering the medicine. They have a lot of activities for my mom in memory care.

The experience with Belmont Village West Lake Hills overall has been great. Dad enjoys it there, and the staff is very friendly. There have been a few issues with his medication which is a small cause for concern, but overall it has been a great experience.

Overall I think they are doing fine. The initial intake and getting all the staff on board with all the individual specifications, took longer than I would have hoped. They did a care plan, but the staff wasn't updated in time for her arrival. I think they are really caring. It's very clean, and they are attentive. The food is handled really well. It's just the first four or five days in the beginning, could be handled better. Overall they have been extremely helpful. We are pretty pleased.

I moved my mother from Portland, Oregon to Chicago to be near me just over a year ago. Caring for her from such a long distance was no longer working. My mother was a very independent, strong and bright woman who had lived in her house with 10 acres for over 50 years. She as diagnosed with alzheimers about 4 years ago. Her one wish was that we let her live in her home as long as possible but my mother had become negative and resistant to any change or help. The decision to move her was huge but ultimately proved to be very successful. We were very pleasantly surprised by the move. My mother seemed relieved to be somewhere where she felt safe and secure. She missed her home and would ask everyday when she was going home but she also seemed content and relaxed for the first time that I can ever remember. My mom has been at Belmont Village for just over a year. I continue to be very very happy with the level of care. The staff are all very caring, communicative and helpful. From the receptionist to the nurses, the pals and the aides, everyone really seems to work together to help all the residents. I visit my Mom at least twice a week, at all times of the day, and I always see an incredibly well run facility with caring staff. The consistency makes a big difference. I think the size of the facility helps - it is big enough to allow for full functioning and oversight but small enough for individual care. I could not be happier with my mother's care at Belmont Village.

The staff, nurses and CNA's at Belmont Village are what make it an extraordinary place to live and receive care. From the Executive Director on down, these people learn what is important to your loved one, and they go about making it happen. My mom received different levels of care while at Belmont Village, and each experience, although stressful to her family, was carefully set in context of her overall caregiving strategy, so that it occurred seamlessly and holistically. I would definitely recommend Belmont Village to a friend, so take my word for it, and go check it out for your loved one! They do a lot for the seniors, and have a nice ratio of men and women, so that your loved one will be able to fellowship and enjoy life in a new home environment. Thank you and kudos to Belmont.
