Belmont Village

It’s only been a month. They seem to be taking care of everything so far. They seem to have enough activities. My loved one always seems to be doing something. We chose this one because after visiting thirty places, this seemed like the best one.

Very nice facility. I liked the different levels of memory care.

Had a great visit with Susan. We were very impressed with the amenities offered, especially the fact that mom would have access to physical therapy on site. The units we viewed had plenty of space. We also met with George, the memory care manager, and felt comfortable with everything he told us. I love the fact that they continue to evaluate the residents and reassess their needs. Belmont is definitely one of our top choices.

My father (a Parkinson’s disease patient) is not a full memory care resident but he’s also not a full assisted living resident. He sort of rides the middle, he needs more help than the average assisted living resident but really sees the difference between himself and the residents in memory care. Belmont has offered a wonderful compromise for my father. He sleeps in “The Neighborhood” (memory care) and spends his whole day out in assisted living with the “Circle of friends” program that they offer at Belmont. While in circle of friends his memory is being kept as sharp as possible, they work on motor skills with various art projects, talk about current events and many other things. Some residents have been known to have better skills after being in circle of friends over time. The team at Belmont has done such a good job of making my father feel like he belongs to the group. They have literally worked to make him feel as though he still has the dignity that he has always had when his health was better. I personally feel as though Belmont and the staff at Belmont are the number one reason my father is still alive at this point.

During the emotional time of deciding and then moving our parents out of their home to Belmont Village, we met some of the kindest, most caring staff who continue to be available to us to answer questions and offer support to not only our parents but my brother and me. Now that our parents have lived at Belmont for 3 months, they and we have become very fond of the staff and all the "Pals" who care for them and consider them our family, too. They are compassionate, kind and happy and greet our parents and us with a smile and a kind word, even after being called many times to come to help them. The dining room staff is efficient and patient and the nutritious meals are delicious; we join our parents often for lunch or dinner. Visiting our parents at Belmont Village is a happy occasion!

We took my Mom to live at Belmont Village. She has received first class treatment from the time she walked in the door. The staff is very loving & supportive and they work very hard to help new residents adjust to their surroundings. They have many activities to keep the residents fully engaged. The food is excellent! I know we made the right choice when we took my Mom to Belmont.

We've had a great experience overall with Belmont Village. Our loved one is in the memory care unit and all of the caretakers and aides that she works with are very caring and personable. We've only had experience with one other community, but Belmont Village is definitely and improvement in every way.

My Uncle was brought to Belmont Village in December after my wife and I viewed several other facilities. I cannot express how happy we are that he is in their care. I've seen a marked improvement in his physical posture brought on by the excellent PT staff that works with him. His PALS take great care of him and his cat which in turn makes his quality of life so much better. He's happy, extremely well cared for physically, mentally and nutritionally. If you have a family member that you love and care for, Belmont Village is the place where they belong. The entire staff shows nothing but respect and care for the residents. I can sleep at night knowing my Uncle is in great hands. I highly recommend Belmont Village in Carol Stream.

It's really been wonderful, we would definitely recommend them. The staff are all very friendly and professional, and they provide excellent care. I was a big fan of the lesson plan they follow when planning activities for the memory care residents.

Perfect combination of services for both of my parents and fantastic food! Beautiful clean rooms, friendly welcoming staff and comprehensive programs offered for multiple levels of physical and cognitive impairment. It has a cheerful atmosphere.

Great for Mom, but too expensive. We'd burn through Mom's remaining savings too quickly.

They really were, really, really good. Anybody that you see you call them pals, it's very personal, they say, you look nice and how are you doing today. There is a mix between independent and assisted, but the extras cost more here for personal care, than a place that is all assisted living. I liked the layout better. The food was really very good here too.

Belmont Village has been great. I rated the activities just a little bit lower because I think they could maybe use some better variety. Perhaps, something more intellectually stimulating - such as having speakers come in. Although they do have lots of BINGO and Bunko. Also, the food is excellent! We eaten there several times, and they have a good variety with healthy choices.

This place is incredible! They have a piano player in the lobby that is constantly playing soft music. The atmosphere is light hearted. The dining room has no partitions, so it is wide open and airy. The food is what’s really incredible! It’s like a 5-star restaurant! They garnish the plates and use all fresh ingredients. The chef is amazing! They have homemade soups, and their baking is done on site! If you don’t want the special of the day, there’s a menu where you can choose from steaks, to salmon, to whatever you’d like! The staff is so friendly, and they are well-trained in their jobs! They are quick to respond, and know their residents’ needs. Their PALS program is outstanding! They invite their residents to the activities and events, and make sure everyone is involved. This place really just feels like family!

Thanks for giving me a chance to express what I've experienced in the past 5 1/2 weeks. I've enjoyed meeting various people who are taking of my husband They've shown care and concern. Whatever situation that I've come across, they have been extremely concerned about the effect that it has had on me. They try hard to do what is expected and once they know what is going on, shortly thereafter they try to solve the problem. I've rested quite well since he's been there. Belmont is not far from me, I can be there in approximately 5 minutes or less. I'm pleased with most of their services. If I had to rate them on a scale of 1 to 10, they would definitely be 9 1/2.

My91 year old mother moved into Belmont Village 10 days ago and so far she is really enjoying it. The staff has been very warm and welcoming . They help her with many ADL and are kind and professional. She enjoys many of the activities and thinks the food is great. Everyone really goes out of their way to make sure she is okay and remind and walk her to activities as needed. We are both very pleased with the facility.

We loved Belmont Village. The things we really liked were the one floor building, the dining room and activities are centrally located, the menu choices are excellent, the 2 hour time frame to eat gives more freedom. The only down side is the rent and care prices are much higher than what we are currently paying at Delmar Village of Gwinnett.

The food is outstanding. I have eaten there several times and the food is outstanding. I thought there would be more medical staff on residence at the community. It would be fabulous if they had a medical team on staff or in residence, especially for the dementia unit. I have been enormously happy with what they have provided and they have come through in a moments notice for anything we have needed.

Lively atmosphere. Gave the illusion of an upscale hotel which would be an easier sell to FIL. Jamie was extremely helpful. Really enjoyed this place. Very close to our home. Not sure we can make the budget work. Only advice would be to update their website events page. We were planning to attend one of the events until we noticed the date said it was to take place in 2011. So it hasnt been updated in 3 years.

Had time on Sunday and went to Belmont. Overall excellent match for Mother's personality. Clean. Friendly staff. Variety of food selection. Encourage family participation and sleepovers. Generous activities menu! Support staff. Physical therapy activities. Love Circle of Friends!!!
