Belmont Village

Very nice and friendly staff, very informative, nice rooms and dining area. The food looked delicious. My favorite place I visited but also the most expensive. Realistically, not affordable.

It was nice. The food was good, they insisted we stay for a meal. The rooms were nice and it was a new facility. If hadn't been so far away I would have chose them. The people seemed knowledgable and they seemed to have good care. I only toured the community, so my experience is limited.

This was a very nice place. However, the cost is very prohibitive. It was around $4500 per month.

For my situation, she is a diabetic, so having the RN's on staff is really helpful. She orders on the menu in the dining room, so they can help her with those choices and we try and manage the diabetes as we can. The food is amazing and she has actually gained weight! They have something called Circle of Friends where they do puzzles and mental engagement and social activities.

I really liked it, but my mother didn't so much. It was her first attempt at a retirement setting, and she was functional then. She called me up and told me that she felt like she was in jail. I don't know, I loved it, and I loved the staff. It would have been nice if she was happy there.

We were very impressed when we visited Belmont Village. Everyone was friendly and seemed to genuinely care about the residents. They have gone out of their way to make my mother's move and first couple of weeks a pleasant experience. The employees and residents have welcomed my mother as well as made the family feel comfortable when visiting.

It's hard for my Dad, since he requires memory care but is much more active and aware than most of the other residents. Compared to other places we've had experience with this is a very good facility and they do what they can for my Dad's situation. The staff are very attentive and caring, and very responsive to questions or suggestions you might have.

It was quite beautiful. If I had my way that is where mom would be living here. She had just viewed so many by the time we got to Belmont Village, but it is a wonderful community.

They are friendly!! It is extremely expensive but it has been such a good thing for my aunt, there haven't been any problems. She is unbelievable well. At home she was so isolated, she didn't want to get dressed and didn't care what she looked like. Now she is out in the community the entire day and only in her room at night. It is a dream come true. She is a picky eater but the food is fine. She is in the dementia unit. When she moved in, I told them that she was a florist. They got all these different vases and did a flower arranging class for her. There are community outings, they go to the art museum and go shopping. They will drive her to see her sister. Very accommodating. It is the best experience.

It's my mom that's there and I'm very pleased with Belmont. The cost is equitable to other places. I don't know exactly but from what I've seen they're pretty much the same as most places, price-wise. I like the fact that they don't just leave people in their rooms. They do things with the people there. Improvement wise, I know there's always room for improvement but I honestly can't think of any ways Belmont could improve off the top of my head.

For both: We only saw the first floor at Belmont Village of Westwood because of an outbreak of a virus.. Residents were asked not to congregate in the common areas and to stay in their rooms. That meant we did not get to see any of the apartments or common areas upstairs. What we did see was very impressive -- clean, upscale, and well-run. I appreciated the thought and research that went into the design of the community. I also loved continuing education opportunities available through their association with UCLA. My boyfriend and I were ready to sign up! However, the cost could be prohibitive.

The first time I stepped foot into the lobby of Belmont Village I knew this was the place for my Dad. It was clean, beautifully decorated, employees were kind and spoke, I have no cons regarding my choice. My Dad is still adjusting but his apartment is great, clean, I couldn't ask for a better place for him to be.

Nice community $2950 deposit and $2950 a month for Independant Living - happy hours etc - nice place - free parking

I enjoyed the tour and really like how close it is to my house. All of the residents seemed very happy and the rooms looked very nice. I like all of the activities and the circle of friends program but I'm concerned that she will stay fixated on her dog and not participate for several weeks. She is used to a slower Oregon/ rural pace so I would hope the nearby busy freeways and busy Ventura Blvd wouldn't stress her out.

It's beautiful but high-end dollars! It's absolutely gorgeous, you know. If we had the money it would be wonderful.

Knowing that my folks are being well-taken care of is of great comfort to me and my siblings! My parents lived in a condo and my father was responsible for my mother's care. He is 90 and the task was taking its toll as he seemingly aged a decade in one year. Thanks to A Place for Mom, a referral service, several tours were set up so that me and my sibs could visit in one weekend, as I live out of town. I was so grateful to find Belmont Village of Buffalo Grove. They made it easy for us and assisted us with the transition every step of the way. My parents are happy. The staff is caring and even anticipate needs before being requested as my folks don't like to ask for assistance even when needed. The restaurant atmosphere in the dining room is great and the food is fabulous. You can even make a special request! Unheard of! We are so pleased that Belmont is meeting the needs of my folks, giving us great comfort!

Belmont Village of Hollywood has far surpassed my expectations. I looked for months for the right place for my 87 yr old friend. She's been at Belmont for 2 months now and I can't say enough about the staff, facilities and her new home. She is very happy. The staff at Belmont Hollywood made the move-in and transition very smooth for her and she immediately felt welcome and made friends. Belmont Village Hollywood is a wonderful place to live ... the dining room and menu are first rate and there are a number of different activities daily.

They are unbelievable, I am just so touched. It is expensive but they are doing their job, they're doing crafts, they do have some word games, I've noticed on the sheets that they do bingo-I think that's popular for any nursing home- they do have communal kind of celebratory luncheons, they had a BBQ for the section that my mother was in and the family members were invited so that was a nice gesture and it wasn't another expense. My mother is Roman Catholic and they do see to it that the Eucharistic Minister comes to give her communion which is really important for my mother because she still remembers her faith. They said they would continue to use all of her medications and go through her pharmacy which was a huge savings for us, we do have to provide pull-ups and wipes but they don't charge us anything else for her incontinence which is another savings.

Beautiful Residence

My mom went there and just was there for a short time under hospice care so she didn't really get to take advantage of the full value of the things they had to offer. Their activities looked good but she wasn't able to utilize them. I had a lot of interaction with the administrative staff and they were phenomenal! The nursing staff and the hands on caregivers were phenomenal; they were a 10!
