Belmont Village

I have been extremely satisfied with our experience at Hunters Creek over the last 2 1/2 years. The management and staff have shown exceptional care and concern for both of my parents and have worked with me to partner in their care. [Name removed] and [Name removed] provided excellent programming for my mother and others in the neighborhood, always with a smile, and have texted me pictures of both of my parents which always makes me feel good since I don't live in town. their passion for what they do and their genuine love of the residents is infections and so heart-warming. The pals in both the neighborhood and assisted living where my father has lived since March 2017 have also been very caring and worked closely with me to provide for my parents needs and have been my eyes and ears for any concerns. The nursing staff has generally been very attentive, particularly to my mother, and, when my father has needed attention, he's been checked, even though not on medication management. [Name removed] has been outstanding in her attentiveness and responsiveness to our issues and shows tremendous care and love for the residents. When my mother was sent to the hospital her last week of live and then returned to hospice at Belmont, [Name removed] was right there with me to coordinate the process and to handle all of the arrangements. And, though she told me she wasn't available to attend my mother's funeral, when I saw her there, it meant the world to me that she cared that much about my family and me to be there, and I will always remember her kindness. I truly believe that Belmont has created a wonderful environment in which both of my parents have been able to thrive, which has provided tremendous comfort and peace of mind.

The staff is terrific. They are a bunch of hard workers. They make our tenure here more pleasant.

Toured this lovely facility with [name removed]. Top quality, top prices, however I love it, bottom to top. Other family members will tour in the next few days.

My experience has been excellent. I've been here 1 year and 3 months. Everybody has been very cooperative and helpful. I've recommended a couple of people come in and I'll keep on doing that... The permanent menu is very good. The chef for the fish comes from Veracruz and he knows what he's doing. The desserts are super. They're too good! The entertainment is good - Aubrey does a good job of setting up the happy hour. They don't discriminate, they like everybody.

Everyone is very helpful. Foods good. Plenty of activities. I really like being able to have transportation.

Very efficient and caring staff. Always a smile and a quick response to your loved ones needs and requests. I highly recommend this facility.

I loved meeting with [Name removed] and [Name removed] - I have asked that my mom get evaluated as I am learning towards moving her to Belmont Village Glenview. I loved the activity that was going on when I arrived and i love the studio apartment options

We were very impressed with the facility, a lot of light and spaces for activities. The rooms were very nice and offered more space than others we have visited. The employees were very helpful and open. We were impressed with the choice of activities.

Beautiful facility - people friendly - pt - extra care available

While this property is right on Highland Blvd and can be a bit noisy, the space is very nice. The one bedroom layouts are generous. The staff is friendly. Food menus look good and there are plenty of public spaces and outings to keep anyone out of their room.

My family and I have experience with other facilities. What I really liked about this community is that I never really see anyone sitting alone or unattended. The staff here is great and when I walk in, the nurses will come right up to me and let me know everything that’s going on. They pay attention to little details like they noticed that my Mother needed some more pajamas. I like that they call me with any little thing. For activities, they go to the movies, have music entertainment come in, they do art projects, and they try to stimulate the mind. I would recommend this facility to other families.

Many options available for care. Cost may be an issue.

This is a pretty large facility with lots of options. They have a great "Circle of Friends" option for people with dementia. The rooms are dated and a little small but this is definitely a great option.

Nice & clean facilities. Love the “circle of friends” concept for those seniors with cognitive issues. This allows my mom & dad to stay together. We were there around lunch time. The dining room was packed with everyone enjoying each other! A bigger facility. Like their pricing structure.

My loved one lives at Belmont Village, and we could not be happier with this community. The employees seem to be treated very well because they are so happy and so warm with the residents. The food is excellent, and my loved one says she's sure to gain weight here. My loved one seems to be very well cared for, and I would definitely recommend Belmont Village to other families.

Mom couldn't be in a better place. The staff is friendly, courteous and always helpful in suggesting ways to deal with narcissistic demented parents. The fact they have an in-house dentist, podiatrist, and doctor keeps me from having to lose work time. Many other facilities don't offer the podiatry and dentist services. The staff is also great when it comes to updating family members on changes with their loved ones. Always get my questions answered and staff willing to listen to your concerns and follow up on them.

My Dad’s been here for about a month and a half and things are going excellently. The staff is doing a great job at providing the right kind of care that my Dad needs with his dementia. The food is okay but I wasn’t pleased with it. However, I think it’s more so just because we like our food spicy and the food they serve is made for people of their generation that can’t handle it as well. They’re great with keeping the place clean and it looks wonderful. There are different levels of dementia care available and with the slightly more functioning group they have outings once a week. They have a group called Circle of Friends that’s specific to the community and it’s filled with the higher functioning dementia residents. I like that Circle of Friends is designed so the residents are reminded that they aren’t alone and they have friends there with them. The facility provides transportation to certain shopping centers for the more independent residents and they’ll take them to various churches on Sundays. In terms of daily activities, they have memory games, ping pong, billiards, happy hours on Thursdays, live music performances at least once a week, and I think they’ve had dance performances too. There are also crafts and different kinds of parties for the holidays. There’s a gym as well that the residents can use regularly. Overall, it’s just a beautiful atmosphere

I toured here when looking for a place for my mom. The facility is good, but it was expensive and it was more care than she needed. The building itself is very nice, almost like a hotel. I think she would’ve liked the common areas and stuff but the rooms were tiny. It’s more for people that need someone to be with them all the time. Everyone seemed real happy and the cleanliness seemed fine. They kept talking about their dining area and it seemed like a real high end restaurant with an expensive chef, though I didn’t get a chance to try the food.

We had my mother-in-law here for about a month and it was a good stay. The staff was nice but we didn't realize that mom needed more assistance. The independent living and assisted living was blended. They would knock on here door and she mostly stayed in her room. The housekeepers were amazing. And the cook staff was great and helpful.
