LOUISA PLACE used to be a nice place. Since ENLIVANT CORPORATION bought it, the downward spiral is evident. The staff is trying but the Management Style resembles that of a concentration camp. Using the COVID Virus to their advantage to control window visits, create rules that caused undue grief to families and residents, limit communication with staff similar to a “gag order” The residents are lonely and confused. Families are being priced out of the building having to relocate their loved one during a pandemic! Everything about this place is about squeezing more money out of the families. The caring, compassion and love that once existed is no longer exhibited at Louisa Place

This place WAS amazing, During Corvid, Corporate brought in a Director to clean out the place. With no walking the halls, dinner was served in rooms and residents unable to walk out of their rooms. This place turned into a disaster and never once did corporate reach out to the residents family care givers. Informing them of the extra care is was taking to administer their normal care due to Covid. This took a huge toll on all residents. Instead they re-evaluated residents at their worse, without conference calls with family caregivers. Then presided to almost double their care rate with no notice. It is horrible what they did to residents that had resided there over 5 years. Buyer beware the welfare of its residents its not their top priority. Just the quick buck, this place did not help with the pandemic, they insisted on making the long term residents move. Also, because this had to be rushed due to the way they orchestrated this clean out. They insisted we move all her belongings thru the main lobby door and other residents. Which made no sense if you where trying to limit exposure with other residents.

DO NOT!!! take your loved ones to Caliche Memory care unit, the staff are not trained to work with memory care patients, all I had was issues from the start, my mother didn't get her dementia medications (in a memory care unit) for 3 months and I was told they would look into it, she was given the wrong medications several times, things were stolen out of her room, she was left on the floor after a fall twice, she had her emergency button taken from her twice (once by the director) so that she could not call the staff for help and ultimately my mother ended up in the hospital as the staff let her get severely dehydrated to the point that her organs were failing, all while family could not go check on her due to COVID precautions. There were so many issues and each time I was told they would look into it and or that was previous staff and I had to give the new staff time to adjust.

You know the phrase beautiful face,ugly personality. That’s the summit, Out of multiple employees I’ve passed or had contact with only one said hi. I walked up to the counter for help everyone else saw me waiting to speak to one of you and no one turned to ask if I needed anything. All your employees look miserable and want to hurt someone. The care is way worse, waited 1 hour for another caregiver to show up so they can help my resident use the bathroom. The lady walked in and had the audacity to say she was helping with breakfast and it was 5am breakfast starts at 7/8am

Do not put your loved ones in this facility. Current manager has residents feeling as if they can't complain, or they will be sent to a psych facility where they will be drugged and allowed no visitors. [Name removed] brags of his LIQUID LUNCHES, and has liquor on his breathe at any time of day. Facility is currently understaffed, and several members of the nursing staff do not have the credentials to be in their position of Title.Current staff have received little to no education on how to deal with the elderly. State has been notified and will be conducting a review immediately. Kitchen staff has health cards, but continues to cook and serve residents without hair nets and often leave uneaten food on the counter in kitchen.

Residents complain of horrible management. Everything is broken, van used to take residents on outings is broken and residents have been unable to get out in several months. Activities are boring and staff is rude. The windows are washed once every 2 years and residents complaints fall upon deaf ears. The manager is never there and when he is there, the smell of liquor from his "LIQUID LUNCH" and bad attitude, are enough to turn your stomach. Theft of residents items, go unreported. Kitchen staff does not wear appropriate hair nets and leaves kitchen unclean. State has been alerted to conditions, and we hope in the near future to return to standards that are acceptable!!

Poor food and management is unresponsive to any change. they have the janitors serving food. Poor service, poor cooking.

I was not pleased with this place, The person that gave me a tour was very rude to the other staff around her and seemed to be in charge of the building but she was not the director so I was a bit thrown off. Her name was [name removed] believe...I just would not want my mother to walk by and hear the way management treats staff. (Very poor. This person was undermining staff members confidence as well as work performances. This needs to be addressed.... Because then my mother would worry. This place needs a few improvements and adjustments. I would probably start with management. The caregivers and med techs are very pleasant to be around and seem very knowledgeable and kind! Our family should have searched White Cliff's care record of 21 citations at Arizona Department of Health Services before placing our loved one in their memory care unit. ADHS has a searchable database of all care facilities in Arizona and any citations. White Cliff's FAILED at caring for our loved one with, unexplained injuries, extended days between showers, feces on bedspread without remedy, missing personal items, and mismanaged medications. When we expressed concern with Day staff they blamed it on their Night staff, even revealing to us that their Night staff had been recently reprimanded. We reached out to their Executive Director who never returned our calls and their corporate business office, Milestone Retirement LLC., where our calls and concerns were ignored. We filed a care complaint with the Arizona Department of Health Services but it seems after 21 citations White Cliff's isn't interested in cleaning up their brand new retirement business.

This place is horrible what they did with my mother is horrendous. I keep praying they will shut this horrible place down. The person running the place [Removed] is a very [Removed]. Anyone who trust her with your parents are mislead. She is nice to your face or when you are around but when your not wow. Thank goodness for today's technology, videos do not lie. If you are not self pay, you will be treated horrible. I kind of figure they get away with it because the owner is on the Mesa City Council. The food is terrible no place for the community. Nothing for them really to do. Buses doesn't run a lot of the time. The owner turned community space in to offices so to beach with the residents. My suggestion is run but if your family is there set up video in their rooms get a real idea how bad it is.

This place is the 80/20 rule. 80 percent of the caregivers do a nice job and are over worked. 20 percent are collecting a paycheck. The director [name removed] is a true bully and has no respect for her workers or residents. It's sad. She blue skies people to fill rooms and meet the bottom line but she is not about care , she is about control and intimidation. Again, its sad a person like her is allowed in a position. This will end as the former and current residents will put her on the news soon. Elderly and the handicap deserve better not scare tactics.

I felt that this place is very understaffed and not trained to handle any aging problems. Other facilities require their staff to do sixteen hours of training. The staff is expected to do all the cleaning, cooking and take care of residents. When you have two people for twenty two residents it does not work. Bathrooms are not cleaned on a regular basis and laundry is ruined and not hung up properly or brought back to rooms in a timely manner. Bedding not returned and put on bed so resident can go to bed. I never realized how bad the place was until we moved to another facility. Night and Day difference plus the cost is much less a month for better care! When I visit my loved one I don"t have to clean and do laundry change clothing and make beds. I am able to actually visit and enjoy my time with my loved one.

We had a very bad experience with this facility, and I would absolutely not recommend them to anyone. My experience and what I observed of the care provided here was very poor. The aide staff and the nursing staff both seemed very uncaring and disconnected from the residents. We had serious issues with the medication service as well. The staff in general just did not seem motivated or well supervised. My experience with the director was also very poor, she was unpleasant and very difficult to work with. We moved our loved one out as soon as we were able.

Not much good to say about this place! Way understaffed! Employees are poorly trained in dealing with many aspects of the aging. They are expected to do everything from laundry to cooking none of which they can properly carry out since they are understaffed! Rooms not cleaned since they never have a housekeeper. Overpriced compared to the care at other places. Could go on and on !

I would rate this as a 1 ,when I first came and talked with Bo the marketing director,he made me feel that this was the right place for my mother,,but since he left and now they have a new marketing director,,this place has gone from a 5 to a 1 in rating,,they have lots of people working in the office aND I caregiver and 1 med tech for 52 residents,,they need to hire more staff on the floors,and get rid of the extra people in the office,there was a time when my mother had no water at all for 3 days,,water came back on then she had no hot water for bout a week,,my mother will be moving out by the end of this month,,I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy,that's how bad it is here,,,nobody lasts here,residents move in and out all the time,,!!!!!

From the very beginning you are really lied to. Everything the director said was available was either not there or never happens. The director (MJ) her self is very rude and treats residences with little respect. The staff has changed so much you can't remember anyone's names. The food is either frozen or boxed nothing homemade. They dictate everything including the fact you can only get one scoop of ice cream. You have to pay to take food to your room. Matinee is run by someone that has no clue what they are doing. They only thing good is the size of the rooms. I say runn far away. Until they find someone who knows how to really run this place.

would give less than one star if possible. My mother was a client of Mountain Ridge and had terrible care. She was given the wrong medicine on two different occasions and ended up being hospitalized because of it. I live many thousands of miles away and I flew in to see what was occurring. I ended up staying with her at the facility for over a month. During that time what I saw was appaling and criminal. The staff at night would dissapear to go out with their friends. Once a client fell and bled profusely. I heard her screaming and I had to call an ambulance because the CNA on duty was out with her boyfriend! (She was NOT terminated or even reprimanded). On another occassion, a newer male patient [removed] a long-term female patient and she ended up [removed] a month later. He was [removed] and subsequently removed. But again, this happened at night and there was no one around to help the poor lady. <br />Needless to say, I removed my mother to another, more appropriate setting. With that said; the neglect I personally witnessed was nothing less than criminal. Particularly for those too infirm to complain or to get help. These people are dangerous and although the facility is nice and well cared-for; I can not say the same for the clientele. Don't risk it!

This was awful!! In the assisted living, you need to watch everything, that you are getting what you pay for. Watch the medication management and care levels. We were paying for a level two care but put in the books, at a level zero. They were over medicating my loved one, and blaming him for it. They left him outside in 109 degree weather for three hours. This was not a good experience to say the least.

While working there - the cook [Removed] drops meat on the floor and just picks it up and serves it. Residents given burnt or undercooked food. Director [Removed] know about the food and allows it to happen. Horrible place - do not put your loved one in this place. They hire anyone with no training and no fingerprints done. No checking to see if they can work there. Do NOT go to this place.
