The staff at Windriver is very understanding and patient with my father. He tends to be stubborn about things but they generally do their best to work with him.They were willing to take more of the load from me and understood that I had my own family and needed a break.One thing that could be better is the communication. I would like for them to reach out to me more. I don't need updates everyday but they tend to tell him things and not me. I would also like to thank my advisor from A Place for Mom. She was so patient with me and guided me though the process because I had never done this before.

The heron Place has been a good choice for my mother-in-law. The community overall has a good look to it. It is very well maintained. The staff is really nice and keeps her safe. We have found that my mother-in-law has been doing a lot better health wise since her move here. The meals are nutritious, unfortunately, the kitchen does not have the spices that she is used to but she is adjusting. The staff really works with us whenever we need anything. She has a good size room with her own bathroom with plenty of space.

My dad is having some issues with settling into Brookdale Prescott. The staff are friendly and work well with the family. His only complaint is the staff come in unannounced. My daughter and I have tried the food it is healthy and tastes good. They offer activities however he has not yet participated in any. I would recommend.

They have grown so fast. They are starting to smooth out.

Everything there is great! IT is a wonderful place.

The only thing is that the laundry marking, sometimes they do not get their things back. We try to keep it marked and the marking got washed off before we could get it back on.

The grounds and the outdoor had a lot of need for improvement. My wife didn't like the smell in the kitchen and dining area. This wasn't for us.

My mother has not been at the Peridot for a full week yet but she seems very happy. The staff is friendly and helpful. The meals have been very good. There are many activities to choose from. Her apartment is cute and cozy, with new carpet and paint. She has one bedroom and it is roomy enough to handle a bed, chest of drawers, bedside tables and a small chair and still have room to move about with the walker. Not all of the apartments have a view but Mom has an apartment with a little balcony and a lovely view. So far we are both very thankful to have found the Peridot.

My wife spent 2-1/2 weeks here on a respite care stay. She seemed to enjoy her time here. The facility is very nice, bright, and airy. Food was always good. She seemed well cared for.

My mother-in-law was there. With her dementia it ended up not being the best fit for her. They were not set up with memory care to the extent that she needed. It's all about a personal fit. Even though it didn't work out for her, my husband's aunt is still with them. They had a flood during a bad storm and moved all the residents to a facility in Enumclaw while they do repairs. That was supposed to be two weeks but it's turned into two and a half months because they decided to do a remodel too.

Toured this building looking for a place for my Mother, who is moving from out of state. Overall impression was that the facility is dated and needs some care. The person I toured with was knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions, though she seemed surprised by my visit( I had an appointment). Very few residents visible, and though they were setting up for an activity, it did not look like many residents were attending. It was quiet. Dining options looked good. Terrible parking for guests

The rooms are nice and always clean, staff is friendly, food is decent. They just seem under staffed. I've seen residents struggle to feed themselves and nobody's around to offer assistance. And they sit everyone in a big living room setting with a TV and super bright lights. There's already a skylight which lets plenty of light in and they could turn off the harsh overhead chandelier, and it'd probably be easier on everyone's eyes. When we were first checking the facility out, we were told there would be some sort of physical or mental stimulation or activity. Just simple exercises a couple times a week such as lifting their arms or turning their head. Not only would it give them physical stimulation, but mental as well. There's none of that there. Overall, I would grade the facility a C+. If we hadn't been in such a rush and paid the required $3500 entrance fee, I would search for a more fitting facility.

Evergreen is located in a nice location with great views of Thumb Butte and trees. Our tour was originally scheduled for 2:00 a representative from Evergreen called and rescheduled for 12:30 I thought it was because we were going to have lunch there. We met Alyissa the director at 12:30 and she gave us the tour, should us a single unit and also took us to a shared room, the unit has a resident and the room my mom would be assigned is smaller The room, closet are too small for my mother. At this time we are not proceeding with looking at places for my mom. When I initially called I was hoping for a place to put my mom for respite for my husband and myself, and if she liked it transition to full time. That isn’t possible at Evergreen. A single unit is not feasible for the rental cost. We ended up not having lunch it was too late after the tour. We were disappointed about that. I didn’t prepare food for my mom prior to leaving and she has low blood sugar and was feeling very light headed.

The facility is clean, and the staff is caring. In the beginning, things seemed good, but they had a change in management and employees. Food could be better. Does not seem to have meal planning for special diets like diabetics. Always a big turnover in employees. Residents complain of boredom. They need more physical activities. The only exercise is led by a senior who lives there and has no expertise.

I would rate them a 3 in all categories. It wasn't the worst experience but not the best either. The month after mom moved in all of the office staff left and the head nurse as well. Mom is a not the easiest person to get along with and the staff had a hard time ignoring that behavior. A few times she even missed meals and no one checked on her.

Most of the staff are genuinely kind and helpful. There does seem to be a bit of turnover which is concerning. It would be nice to have consistent caregivers. There are quite a few activities for the residents. Bingo, cards tv night. The environment is nice enough given the cost. The original director was especially great. However the current director is cold and rude.

Initially our overall experience was good, but then my mom began getting up out of bed frequently and was a fall risk. I talked to the director and staff repeatedly about it and they continually left her bed alarm off. She had two falls within two days, the second time she broke her hip. They called me and told me she fell but that she was fine. When I came to check on her a few hours later I could see that one leg was shorter and rotated outward, indicating a hip fracture. She had hip surgery, was discharged back to Avista on hospice and died 13 days after her fall. The facility was always very clean. The staff was always very friendly. I would say before the fall her quality of care was a little better, maybe 3-4. After the fall and her hip surgery, she went back to a Vista on hospice. I would write her quality of care after as a 2. While at [community removed], they turned her every two hours and she left there with no skin breakdown whatsoever. I asked the staff at Avista to turn her every two hours to prevent her from getting any skin breakdown. I was turning her myself when I was there about 8 to 10 hours a day, but it is obvious that they were not turning her when I was not there. After just three days being back at Avista, she was developing a decubitus ulcer to her sacral area. I realize my mom was on hospice, had stopped eating and was going to die, but that doesn't mean she needed to die with a pressure injury from lack of basic care. Administrative staff was always very quick to answer an email, but they did not follow through on some of my concerns, like her frequent getting out of bed by herself. I was always assured that a bad alarm was in place, but most times when I'd show up to visit the bed alarm was turned off. I even posted a sign on the door to the staff to please always check to make sure the alarm was on before leaving the room. The day she fell and broke her hip, the alarm was off.

There are too many men walking freely going in and out of ladies rooms.

I like the nurses and nursing staff. They are all very caring and polite. I don't like the afternoons and evenings. The staff are very busy doing meds and getting patients changed and in bed. They have all the patients sit and wait in the dining area for quite a long time. They get tired and that is when the ones with dementia/Alzheimers start with "Sundowners". One time I was there in the dining room with my loved one and Staff was busy and one lady tried to walk across the room and she fell, but thankfully she was close to the couch and cought it. But she couldn't get up. I tried to help her, but couldn't. Then a staff member came in and got her onto the couch. My mom sits in the chairs for long periods of time and her ankles swell where she can't even get her shoes on. I got her some supportive stallings. The mornings are nice. They have breakfast and do some activities. But, they need more activities after lunch.
