Avista Senior Living

I find spring gardens to be a warm, friendly, homelike environment where “everyone knows your name”. I love the management and the way they work with the residents. They always try to be helpful and communicable. I’ve been in several other places but they didn’t feel right because of the management.

Our experience was a 5 across the board! Based on mom's short time there everyone was so helpful! We would most definitely recommend this community to other families based on the experience we had with Evergreen Village Prescott

I highly recommend Avista, this was a very hard time for me and my husband moving his mother from the east coast to Idaho and they made the whole process so easy for us they are all so caring and compassionate they also have so many great activities and great food recommend highly.

I placed my 93-year-old father at Avista Senior Living in [date removed]. We needed to move my father from his home in California to Washington State. My husband and I looked at several assistant living communities . Once we walked into Avista Senior Community in Sumner WA, I knew right away that this was the place I wanted to place my dad. The first thing I noticed was how clean it was, and how welcoming it is. That is the first thing I look at. The next thing that convinced me was the staff. All the staff members are so friendly and caring. They treat my dad like a family member. They fuss over him and make him feel taken care of. We were able to come in early and customize his room with pictures and items from his home in California, before we moved him in. The staff always updates me with care and health routines and if I have any questions or concerns, they are quick to give me answers. I cannot be happier with the service and care that my dad has been receiving.

The staff is Amazing! They take great care of my mother! The food is really good!. I would definitely recommend Avista Senior living. My mom has been there now two years . They keep her busy and activities. Specially, with her Alzheimer’s, they did track her when she is having a bad day.

They are always friendly and helpful. They remember who you and your resident is even if you have been away for several months. I am using this for respite care only.

Very caring interactive staff who check in on residents rooms every 2 hours or so. Food was good but not great. Clean and cheerful facilities. Fun activities.

My mom came over from [community name removed] home. Staff is great and [name removed] is great. Nurse [name removed] is also great with my mom. I have been very pleased with Avista.

My mom has now been at Spring Garden in Midvale for 3 weeks now, tough adjustment for her at first. She is a very independent 95 year old. She now loves it there. She's met so many friends, enjoys the activities and most of all. She loves the staff. They are great with her.

Avista provided end of life care for my father. They did a wonderful job managing his care in cooperation with hospice. He did not like the food but he was a picky eater and also didn't want to eat very much anyway. He was too weak to participate in activities. The cost was very high due to his medical needs. I am very grateful for the care he received. The staff was very friendly and they really tried to make him feel welcome and comfortable even though he was not happy to have to be there. But it was the best place for him to be.

If I could, I'd rate every single one of these questions a 10! Seriously, THE best place for any aging parent. Heck, I hope they are still around when I need a place to stay! May sound cheesy, but truly that's how our entire family felt during her short stay The administration, activities director kitchen staff and care team went above and beyond to welcome and helped her feel loved and cared for. There is just something different with Spring Gardens of Midvale that made us feel a part of a larger family. They knew our names and recognized who we were there for and often tell us how mom was doing as we checked in. Her entire care team was phenomenal! They helped make this transition comfortable and treated her like their own mom/grandma/auntie, so kind, patient and very respectful of her. They met all of our needs! Would highly recommend every family comes to see how special this place is. It's a hidden gem!

My mom lived at Spring Gardens for 7 months until her death in 2023, after another facility near her home that wasn’t providing enough care and some time in a skilled nursing facility. The care, staff, activities, food, cleanliness, everything at Spring Gardens was great. I ate there several times and enjoyed all the meals and company of other residents. It is also close to skilled nursing and the Heber Valley hospital. After another hospital stay, Mom spent her last 3 weeks with hospice care in the Spring Gardens memory care unit, which was also much better than the place near her home. Alas, she never appreciated assisted living, though I suspected she liked Spring Gardens. She wanted to live alone in her home and wouldn’t admit it was good, but I loved it and would seriously move in there myself. Give me a nice room with housekeeping, walk-in shower with a built-in chair, good company if I want it, help if I need it, a menu of good food prepared by others, and I am there.

Really great community. The staff take excellent care of the people who live here. They are caring and patient. The food is great, they have a chef that makes everything from scratch. Very clean. I’m very satisfied with Terra Pointe!

Everything about this place is outstanding. The apartments are really nice, the facility is clean, very homey and has beautiful landscaping. The director and staff treat residents like family. Lots of activities and the residents seem to really enjoy each others' company. The care is excellent, staff are well trained and really good at their jobs, and there is very little turnover in staff. Our family member is very happy there. They even have him teaching a painting class (he is a retired fine art professor) which really keeps him engaged. Strongly recommend Avista!

My mother has been a resident at Terra Pointe for a little over a year. We’ve been extremely pleased with the care she receives. The people who work here have the heart and passion to do this kind of work. If you are considering placing your loved one here, don’t hesitate, you’re making the right decision!

From the front desk welcome to the resident smiling and saying "hi" I felt at home throughout my visit.
