Lovely little place, with only about 40 residents. Much smaller than Mom is used to (I don't know if that's good or bad!) But the apartments are way too small. [name removed] was very helpful and I liked her a lot. But the small apartments and the distance from my home are definite obstacles for this place.

My family has not had a good experience with this community. First of all, the food is bad and even other people have said so. Secondly, most of the CNAs are really nice and the building is very nice and clean, but there’s one nursing assistant that’s been very nasty. We reported her because of a few instances where she made my loved one feel uncomfortable with the things she’s said. Even after reporting her, she has continued to be rude. She’s told my loved one horrible things and has laughed at her. There have been plenty of other people that have reported her and we’re really afraid that she might do something to hurt my loved one in retaliation. Other than the assistant, everyone else has been really nice and my loved one likes them. I’m hoping the facility does something about the assistant so my loved one can continue to live there.

When I was looking for a place for my dad, I took a tour of this facility was not impressed at all. I didn’t get a good vibe. I sensed a smell when I first walked in and I didn’t like the layout of the building because it can be pretty confusing. Every hall looks exactly the same and there’s no way to differentiate what part of the building that you’re at. When you’re having memory problems, you need something that’s able to be recognized and something stable. I ultimately chose a different facility.

My sister really likes it here despite some major concerns we have. My sister from the first day she was there she met people and made friends and started doing activities they offered. Themaintenance staff is left to be desired it takes for 1 repair ticket which by the way is a minor thing 5 weeks to be done. There is only 1 housekeeper for the whole community so the cleaning is not being done properly.We are understanding she is told that she has to have a certain number of rooms done in a day but when you feel like you have to hire an outside company to come in and have it done properly there is something wrong. From what we can tell all the nursing staff has left there is no onsite nursing. Overall my sister likes the food once and awhile something won't be the greatest. I must say that there are quite a few residents here that have mentioned they have lived here a long time and they still enjoy it here.

I was initially going to have a tour of this community for my mother but when I had found out the price it was way out of our budget. Compared to a lot of the facilities around this place it was a lot higher in price and seemed to offer the same services.

Friendly director, but was unable to tour actual living areas. I am hoping to locate a facility with more outdoor space and community activity area. It remains on my list as I look at other locations. This site did offer many options for medical appointments, some options for shuttled shopping, etc.

Since my loved one moved into the White Cliffs, there have been some bumps in the road. My loved one was not being monitored correctly at first, but they have hired a new nurse that I'm sure will be a great asset to them. They have reworked my loved one's treatment plan. Also, during meal time, the kitchen crew will bring out the desert before the residents are done eating and they all push away their main course to eat the dessert. They should wait until after they are done eating before offering.

I toured this community for my parents. They have great staff members that were very helpful and caring. The room that we wanted was to far for my parents to walk, but nice. They had a second person charge that was nice. Over all a nice community.

Overall it was adequate. We were not real happy with the cleanliness as far as my mother was concerned. She did not get the bath like she was suppose to and her clothes were not changed or her sheets changed. Everyone was really friendly though and they gave her her medication like they were suppose to and the food was fine.

I think they were just short on help because my parents were in the memory care unit and they did not have a lot of activities for them. Some of the caregivers were really good, but they were just overworked.

I'm happy.

It's all right -- it's not home.

The facility at Copper Place is very clean, and the staff there is very friendly. According to the care plan that was initially set up, things were not really done the way we had planned. We got it taken care of, but they did not provide the care we were expecting at the start, which was likely more due to communication issues than anything else.

The caregivers are fifty percent good and fifty percent not so good. The administration has been trying very hard to accommodate my dad. The rooms are not air conditioned. There are some staff that are very good, but others are just awful. The food is very poor, below substandard. There are hardly any vegetables served, breaded meat, hamburgers and hot dogs at least three times a week. I was also told that the available care would be from basic care all the way through hospice care. I can’t imagine someone with hospice needs there.

Lovely facility, very friendly staff, who made a last minute room available for us on a couple days notice, which we GREATLY appreciated. Downside is The Peridot is severely understaffed!! Even the manager and front desk and financial personnel are serving meals!! It takes a long time to get served, and food is usually cold when it comes. Also, people do listen to your requests and concerns, but don't follow through, which appears to be because they are trying to do too much with too few staff. Also we have had trouble getting a phone set up so the resident can make a long distance call from the room. I finally called the phone company on my relative's ( the resident) behalf, and they said there should be no problem getting her home phone transferred to her new room, but the Peridot has not gotten back to me to explain why that wasn't done in the first place. There are also problems with food items: ie. My aunt is diabetic and there is no sugar substitute at all in the cafeteria. I understand one resident was served a grilled cheese sandwich with no cheese, as they were out of cheese... There are no sugar free juices and often no milk at breakfast. I understand the facility is in the process of switching from an Emeritus group property to a different group. That may be part of the problem, It is too bad, as it has potential to be a great place to live, but is having problems right now.

Older, nice rooms, seem very accomodating, just redone, dog park, tori filled in for scott and was really helpful..a bit far from us though

(Activities Not Rated) The sales representative sold me on Emeritus and made me feel like this would be the last move our loved one would have to make. She told me how friendly the staff was and how professional they are but seems like it was all just marketing there has not been any follow through. It seems like they take the easy way out of a situation and just send them to the hospital rather then deal with the issue and with someone who needs memory care that could be very confusing. When we talked to the nurse she stated "You're not talking about anything we haven't seen." yet there only actions when a situation arises is to send them away. She told us that once the private funding runs out we would be able to get PACE funding but turns out that is not as easy as she made it seem. Would not be able to recommend them at this time.

2 meals a day. Can get healthcare in any apt, so couple with differing levels can remain together

Rooms were nicely appointed with various levels of care available within the facility. I did not get to tour the memory unit which was separated from the general population. My Aunt did not like the location and prefers to be more on the east side.

this is my favorite -- specializes in Alzheimers and the facility looks lice -- individual cotteges.
