Avista Senior Living

What we like the most about the Avista Yakima community is the helpful staff members they have working there. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend them to other families who are looking for a place for their loved ones.

We recently had an issue with meds being uploaded and dispensed - I'm hoping we have it figured out. Otherwise we have really been happy with this facility for my mom. Based on the experience we have had so far with Spring Gardens Draper we would recommend this community to other families.

Our family had an in person tour experience with Heron Place and this community didn't work because they didn't have memory care. However they were very nice and gave me a list of top rated facility.

I love that it's smaller which means everyone knows each other - when my mom was there they had such caring people for her especially [name removed]and [name removed] and [name removed] - and the middle lawn area is sweet. I would definitely recommend Jasmine Place.

My mother was a resident at Syringa Place and this facility is a very good Assisted Living place. The cleanliness and friendliness were great. The staff was great as well. My mother just needed more one on one care, so she was only at this facility for a short time. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

There is a very family like feel to the facility. All of the attendants and directors were very welcoming, and made us feel that they really cared about our father. We were soon recognized as his family and treated as their family as well. They took good care of him And he felt at home. I would highly recommend.

The staff is very friendly and the resident nurse is helpful and responsive to my mom's needs. Apparently the food isn't that good. We picked this community because, my mom has a childhood friend that lives there.

Had to wait a long time for escorts because they are short-staffed.

I toured this community and it seemed great, but bigger than we were looking for.

We have spread the word to those looking for a good facility. Caring staff, and a well-maintained facility.

We really liked the community; however, they didn't have the special medical equipment that my loved one needed. Carlo was wonderful to work with during the tour as well.

This facility is a very good place. Maintenance is a little bit lacking on some things, but that could be due to the pandemic and ability to get supplies. They do housekeeping often. The facility is clean. The meals are ok, mom complains sometimes, but I think they're ok. Communication with the family is ok, but they could handle a few things better, ie: billing. They do offer a good variety of activities and outings. I would absolutely recommend them to family and friends.

I would recommend Louisa Place for someone who needs someone to care for their loved one. The care was very good, although they were a little short staffed at times so my father had to wait. That was not the caregivers fault, as they did the best they could with what they had. I also know it's tough in these times, especially being a caretaker myself. My main thing was they provided a lot of good care, but I do wish they had the capacity to be a little more timely.

Everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful. It's clean and they will provide and walk you through all the information. They made it very easy for us, the people there are number 1 and that's what made the difference. My loved one has a studio where he has a bed with room for a table, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a kitchenette with a microwave & fridge. Housekeeping comes in daily to empty the trash, and check in on the bathroom. They also come in on a weekly basis to clean his linens and laundry, and to deep clean the space. Communication between the community and our family is very good. If I have any questions or if something comes up, they will notify me. Some of their activities include bingo, dominoes, arts, gardening & baking classes, and card games. They have puzzle stations setup in the hallway where you can sit and partake, as well as a computer center. They have just about anything you can do. They'll take you to certain doctor appointments on certain days; but its important to note that we've never used that service, so I'm unsure what they can and can't do regarding transportation. Overall I would recommend Franklin Place to others.

I toured Harmony Hills Assisted Living Meridian. I had an overall good tour, but it all boiled down to availability. Harmony also kind of had a urine smell and I wasn't sure if that would be recurrent. That was a bit off putting.

All of the staff that we have encountered have been great, the gal that works at the front desk is nice, the nurses and house keepers are so friendly. Our loved ones do complain occasionally about the meals being to bland. We do know they have plenty of activities going on, but we do wish the staff would be encourage or invite our loved ones down more to get them out of their rooms and socialize with the others.

The facility is definitely nice, clean, bright. Its in a nice and convenient. location in a quiet area of town, yet it's still close by to restaurants ,and there's a Walmart less than a mile away. They have lots of amenities - several rooms for different activities, whether it be crafting or sewing, etc. Or there's a movie theater, and a separate library with books that the residents themselves help take care of. They have a little exercise room, and a beauty salon. There's a nice lobby area with a piano, and folks get together to sing every now and then. Outside they have a community garden area, and paved walkways to walk around the building and get some air. There's just so much to do. They have a lot of prearranged activities - planned art classes, guests that come in to provide entertainment, wheelchair repair services for free. They put out a calendar with 5-6 things per day for residents to participate in. The staff is super friendly, and they know everyone's name. One area for improvement is communication with residents and families in terms of general policies, and particularly in the time of Covid. When they were on lockdown, we didn't always know when we came there to visit. But we picked them over other places because of the feeling you get when you walk in. It's just so bright, friendly, and pleasant compared to other places.

Some positive things about Blossom Place is that it is a very clean and community. The staff have been very friendly and it is a smaller scale community so it seems more personable that it would at a much larger community.

The staff were absolutely amazing, however they did not have enough staff to give medicine out over night. My loved one ended up without medication for a long period of time due to no medication being given at night. This was not okay to me and something should have been done and more staff hired to cover this gap. My only issue was the staffing but the people there were amazing.
