Nice place to live and cared for. Some of it is a little costly.

Love it.

The facility is always clean but there is frequently a sewage smell in the parking lot and inside in the afternoons. I think from bad plumbing which has been a constant issue. The staff has been wonderful attentive and responsive. Administrative staff 4 for lack of communication at times (shutting off water without notice, quarantine without explanation). But [name removed] gets a 10 - she is fantastic The food is horrible. We are trying to find a solution but most times it is not edible. There are lots of great activities There are unkept promises ie: the shuttle is not available as was said initially and the food is so bad. The caregivers and all the staff are wonderful, friendly and so helpful! Special shout out to [name removed] the marketing director and care giver [name removed]. She has shown great care for my parents when they were sick and when my dad fell. The kitchen/dining room staff is also very nice and attentive - unfortunately I the food has been poor quality I believe from lack of skills in that department. If the plumbing and food gets fixed I would give them 5 stars

My dad is now building his community there. Meal times are his anchor. He is now inviting new people to join in and being very intentional to help them make friends. He is starting to do more afternoon activities as well. It just takes time to make a new community home.

What we like the most about the community is the nurses, they are great. The staff in general has been awesome, and at the moment they do not have anything to improve on

The food has actually improved since a year ago. I think it's just hard. I mean institutional food whether a dorm, school lunch room or living facility just isn't as flavorful as homemade or restaurant. My one complaint is that, the only church services available are LDS. Also sooo many LDS meetings take place here. Having lived in UT for 30 some years, I'd forgotten how oppressive and annoying the culture is until you get use to it. It's been a very hard adjustment for my mom.

They could be more organized with the activities. And advertise the day on both levels of the community. They could be less messy and keep the floors in the dining room cleaned between meals. The decorate nicely but then only partially put things away. They need to clean dining tables between meals. They need to have more fiber in the menus. Like options for whole wheat breads. More greens ( not iceberg lettuce!)

The director and staff are friendly and really do make the tenant [fee amount] comfortable.

We have been pleased with the care out family member has received here. She has lots of friends here.

Staff are friendly with residents and seem to genuinely want to help where possible.

My sister has been a resident at Spring Garden for over two years. She has been well cared for and, since I live on the east coast, I have never had to worry about her care. She has always been the story teller and jokester in any group. We feel so lucky she has retained that cheerful outlook to this day. Her favorite times are the sightseeing bus trips where she will often narrate the history of the site. She’s made many friends at Spring Garden.

We visited Avista in the spring of 2024, and immediately got onto their waitlist. My relative is super mobile and has dementia, so she needs a unique memory care place to live. Avista in Albuquerque has two buildings separated by a very big, unlocked courtyard. Residents are free to walk in this courtyard and between buildings all day long, by themselves. We saw two residents enjoying the nice gardens by themselves, so we know they are free to roam. There were two staff members who stood out. They have both worked at Avista for more than 20 years and both clearly loved their work. This is a really good indicator of a quality memory care residence.

I would highly recommend the place as a mid level care facility, not the top of the line but very accommodating and fills the gap between expensive and reasonable cost.

My loved one was previously a resident at Avista Twin Falls and her experience at this facility was good.

It was the closest facility. They very quickly moved up levels of care. However, I didn't see a change in things like number of checks in a day. The nurse and Administrator became very difficult to work with when I asked questions. I was in the facility almost every day and became more frustrated overtime. Most of the CNAs were great as were the wait staff and chef. I saw medication errors and meds not administered on time.

Everyone has been very nice, she appreciates all the activities that there have been. They increased rent by $[removed], making it a bit more expensive than we would like, but it has been a great facility overall. She hasn't been happy with the food, feels it is not appropriate for a diabetic, and they charge her to bring her food to her room, which seems silly. But overall, great experience thus far.

My loved one is currently a resident at Spring Gardens Draper. The move in process went pretty smooth. The staff is very friendly, seem very good at remembering names and are very polite and friendly. The food is good, but not excellent. Also, there is an extreme LDS vibe at this facility. I know it's Utah, but it would be nice if there were some non-denominational services or if they invited someone besides LDS church to provide some services. They might try to say they are non-denominational, but they are not. The facility is trying hard to improve areas that they are weak in. The laundry service leaves a lot to be desired. The nursing staff seems very kind, but there are a lot of mix ups in time schedules. My main reason for choosing this facility was the size of the rooms, nice size fridge and the clean newness of the facility. My loved one is use to new surroundings and this place has a friendly feeling when you enter and everyone is very kind. A Resident Committee has recently formed to address grievances and I think it is helpful to the residents, as well as to the facility. They are very accommodating, but it just doesn't seem to be a "smooth running ship" yet. However, I believe that it will get there.

It is not easy to find who the correct person to contact when it comes to medical. There are multiple contacts for Leading MD's and Avanti. The cavity is top notch! And based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend them to other families.

Immediately you feel welcome, by the residents and the staff. The atmosphere is so inviting and it's more like a cruise than a care facility. Everyone there really cares and wants the best for you. My mother in law tells me all the time she loves living there.
