Avalon Memory Care

Mom is quite happy being here. The staff is wonderful very kind and attentive respectful of the residents. The community offers activities but mom chooses not to do anything. She likes the food very much. The community is always clean and well maintained.

My father is doing okay since his move to this community. He is still adjusting, however I do feel comfortable with his move to this community. He is safe, and in good hands overall. They have a good staff, and they are taking good care of him, and his needs. The community is well-kept, they do a good job with the cleanliness. The experience is going well, and this is a community I would recommend.

My husband is getting better each day since his move to this care home. For the most I'am satisfied with everything they have done for us. When I come to visit the home, and his room are well maintained. The staff is kind, and they have been attentive, and helpful. Everything is moving in the right direction for us in this care home, and I would recommend it.

This is a pleasant community, and since my father move to this community he is doing pretty well. I'am satisfied with all they have done for us. The staff is very nice, and they are taking good care of my father. When I come to visit his room, and the facility is well-kept. I had a concern about where he was seated in the dining area, and he was eating with plastic silverware. When I expressed my concerns to the director, she was able to resolve the problems. He is pleased with the meals. It has been a good experience, and I would recommend this community.

I toured this community.The staff were nice and the community was clean and maintained. they have a nice menu. They do have a sliding scare for the comst I would suggest that families tour this community to see if this is what they are looking for when it comes to care for a loved.

They are accommodating when it comes to my sisters special diet. The staff are responsive and attentive. They are doing some remodeling so there are not a lot of residents. She does get a little more attention. They keep the wing she is in clean. They currently offer physical therapy a few times a week. I did some follow up and spoke to the owner before we chose this community as the presentation during our first visit was not very professional.

I toured this community for my grandfather. The staff was kind and very ; helpful on the questions I had. The community was clean and taken care of. The food seemed to be appealing. they would have had a lot of activities for him. I would recommend families to check out what is offered here for the great value and care for a family member.

What I like the most about this community is that they are strictly Alzheimer and memory care. The staff has all been great. The place is kept clean and the meals provided from what I heard were appetizing. I also really like the open layout, it feels more like home. When my father has had to go to the hospital, one of the staff members always stays with him until a family member showed up to stay with him. So far, it's been a good choice.

I was not informed of any activities that the caretakers do for the patients. My husband is in a wheel chair therefore, the ambulatory activities are limited or non existent. The PT people walk him from time to time. I don't know if the personnel do that. As far as mental activities; I don't know if there is an agenda for that. A suggestion would be to be sure to pass on information and instructions to incoming shift. All in all, from the times that I have spent at the house, everyone seems to be doing their best. I have been pleased and my husband seems to be happy which is most important. In closing, I am glad that Avalon came into our lives.

My tour of this community went very well, and I enjoyed it. The community is nice looking, and from what I saw everything looked nice and clean. The staff I was friendly and informative. They answered all my questions. It was a lovely experience, and I was impressed with my tour.

We had a good experience during my loved one stay here at this community. They provided him with great care. He moved here to recover after rehab. He improved very much in just the three weeks he was here. The community is very well maintained. Everybody was very caring and attentive. I would recommend this community for anybody that needs this type of care.

A very nice community for anyone needing good care. The staff is excellent and always available. My husband is happy with the meals. they do offer activities to keep active. the community is clean and taken care of. I would recommend this community for good quality care.

The community at Avalon Memory Care-Cedar Park offered a pleasant tour. The staff were easy to work with. They were friendly and addressed all of my concerns. The community is nicely kept and well maintained.

My husband has been in this Avalon residence since July 15, 2016 when he was dismissed from Haven Behavorial Hospital in Frisco. He liked being there from the beginning and still does, which truly is a blessing. I am somewhat disappointed in cleanliness and the attitude of some of the aids, i.e. I was visiting for about an hour on Sunday and one aid opened the door and i never saw her again and the other one sat in a chair, dosing and talking on her cell phone, with her head always looking down. She appeared to think that was okay that I was observing her. There is one male aid my husband responds to very positively...he just isn't there as often as I would like. At this time there are 4 residents living there...two others are in the hospital. The manager seems to be doing a good job as does her assistant. I often haven't handled a situation appropriately or made good decisions myself and will try harder. I pray things will improve with just a little more time as we adjust. I didn't expect to see a lot of activity but have observed none in the few weeks my husband has been there. Having said all this, the important thing is Derrell needs to feel cared for and he definitely does! Blessings and Thank you

So far it is a work in progress for us here at this community. My husband isn't as old as the other seniors, he still very active and independent. The staff is good, I would say the week staff is more attentive than the weekend staff. They are good at being responsive to our concerns. The food was an issue, he was getting enough food. When I brought this concern up they were quick to fix it. I've noticed there are not many activities offered. We had some minor issues, but I would recommend this community.

Avalon does a very good job taking care of my dad. The fact that they specialize in memory care is a real plus. They are very professional and experienced. Property director, Irene Canales is a gem!

Grounds and outside very nice. Oldest building is getting old -- toilet sounds, slab leak within 2 weeks of moving in. My mother went without shampoo or soap for two weeks until we realized she needed some and we brought it from home. That was a bit of a shocker. Mom says the food is generally good. Touch-key on both entry and exiting areas to provide security to patients. Fortunately mom's room had a twin bed already in it, so mom gets to sleep on that. A small table and lamp was added by the unit a week later. The main area is comfortable, plenty of tables and chairs, as well as a lot of nice recliners and a large screen TV for patients to use, lots of windows in the front to look out of and for the sun to shine in.

If your looking for a smaller and mellow community, this would be the perfect one for you. Everything is going well for my grandmother at this community. It is a very clean community, everything looks great. The staff is very helpful and pretty good at caring for my grandmother. One thing I do feel they lack in the activities, they need more activities for the residents. All the food made here is home cooked. So it tastes delicious. This is a good community for my grandmother and I am very pleased.

They are nice people. We are pretty happy there. They are friendly and it's kept clean. The food is not the greatest in the world, but I imagine it works for their diets. They are very caring, and we don't have anything negative at all to say.
