Avalon Memory Care

I only was given a 5 minute tour. The community looked fancy and nice. There were activities going on; however, the tour felt cold and this was the downfall. It made me feel like an obligation and inconvenience to the community.

Our family first had a virtual tour due to the covid restrictions, but once the communities opened back up we were able to physically tour the community. Our tour experience was great, everyone was very friendly and welcomed us with open arms. However, we did notice there were not to many care takers on the floor and maybe they were short staff from the pandemic.

We chose Avalon Memory care because I like the fact they take care of their residents no matter what their condition is and how much care that they need. The room sizes here are good. Communication has been an issues, it is especially hard to reach the administrative staff. I would recommend to others looking.

We chose Avalon Memory Care because of the location as well as the size of the facility, it is smaller and we liked that. They have multiple buildings and a maximum 25 residents per building. Overall it has been a pretty good experience and I would recommend to others looking.

My daughter and I found the inside a little dark and the outdoor area that we saw was very small. It was clean and neat and [name removed] was very helpful.

During his time here, I appreciated a couple of the staff members that I worked closely with, they were very helpful and always answered any questions that I had. I was only allowed inside the facility one time so anything else is hard to judge.

We like that Avalon community has a home like environment, it is not very large which makes it more intimate and cozy. The rooms are very nice, they have very large shower and plenty of room for the residents to walk around. We would recommend this community to others.

We had an issue when it came to the care services, my name was foraged and used to receive extra medication. From what we have seen the food would be about a three out of five. The rooms were good, it would be a five out of five.

We chose Avalon Memory Care because my dad needed a higher level of care and they were able to provide that here. They offer a perpetual care plan, so once he spends his money, they will cap his monthly dues. We chose this because it will be a final move and we wouldn't have to move him out once he ran out of funds. The best part about this community so far has been the caregiver ratio, there are 5 residents and 2 caregivers 24/7, so it gives us peace of mind. They have been really communicative. I would recommend for people who have memory care issues and dementia.

I really enjoyed being around the people that worked there but they seemed a little stressed from being shorthanded. There were times I had to remind them to do things because I was not sure they were being done. I'm just not sure they had the time to be as attentive to details wit the resident as they needed to be. They were time that from week to week I would go in and the same dirt would be on the floor especially the bathrooms needed a more thorough cleaning and more often. The staff were all good and kind people. I would use them again and I would recommend them. I am thankful for all that they did.

The tour went well. Everyone involved was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful.

This review is based on first impressions from a personal tour. This community is set up as a large handsomely decorated spacious home-with open living areas and a chef in view fixing meals and snacks. I met with alot of the staff and everyone was friendly and showed a genuine concern for my husband's care. This community was taken out of consideration because I found an accommodating community closer to my home. I would recommend this community to other families.

I toured this place and it was nice and clean. The people seemed nice, It was a smaller community also. I just didn't feel like she was going to get engaged enough there. The price was much more that the budget was. But it's a nice community.

Mom is quite happy being here. The staff is wonderful very kind and attentive respectful of the residents. The community offers activities but mom chooses not to do anything. She likes the food very much. The community is always clean and well maintained.

My father is doing okay since his move to this community. He is still adjusting, however I do feel comfortable with his move to this community. He is safe, and in good hands overall. They have a good staff, and they are taking good care of him, and his needs. The community is well-kept, they do a good job with the cleanliness. The experience is going well, and this is a community I would recommend.

My husband is getting better each day since his move to this care home. For the most I'am satisfied with everything they have done for us. When I come to visit the home, and his room are well maintained. The staff is kind, and they have been attentive, and helpful. Everything is moving in the right direction for us in this care home, and I would recommend it.

This is a pleasant community, and since my father move to this community he is doing pretty well. I'am satisfied with all they have done for us. The staff is very nice, and they are taking good care of my father. When I come to visit his room, and the facility is well-kept. I had a concern about where he was seated in the dining area, and he was eating with plastic silverware. When I expressed my concerns to the director, she was able to resolve the problems. He is pleased with the meals. It has been a good experience, and I would recommend this community.
