Avalon Memory Care

My mother had about $80 in her billfold when she first went to Avalon. I took out $70 and left her $10. She stayed at Avalon for over a year. After she died I was going through her billfold and the $10 was still there. That says something about the staff. I was so thankful that we could join Mother at any meal. We even asked to eat our lunch outside at the picnic table. Everyone was so accommodating. Thank you to Jennifer and all the staff.

The owners and staff at this facility are first rate. The facilities are second to none. Avalon provides as close to a home-like atmosphere as possible for their residents. I highly recommend The Avalon in Cedar Park.

All I can say is - AMAZING! I walked in and made my decision before I even sat down to speak with someone. Each and every person that works in this home cares about each one of there residents like they are their own family members. My grandmother was only a resident for less than a week before she went home to heaven, but they made her last days the best they could be! Thank you - especially Michelle and EZ! Thank you and I will love you guys forever......

We just moved my aunt in their and she stayed their for three days and then passed away. If it wasn't for that I believe this would have been a great place and would have been very pleased.

Loved this place for my mom. Day Staff caring & learned her schedule, wants & needs quickly. They were bringing her what she wanted before she asked. Sorry I can't say same for evening staff. Day staff 5 stars!!! Evening staff gets a minus 5 stars. Mom had to call me evenings, & I had to call Avalon to send staff to her room.

Avalon Memory Care is a wonderful place! It was the best decision I ever made placing my loved one here. He is like an entirely different person since moving in! He is comfortable, happy, and just seems more like himself. I would recommend them highly to anyone looking into memory care!

Avalon is 100% improvement over the place we were before. It's night and day. He is bathed and clean and it's so totally different. When he gets a little anxious they know exactly how to work with him. They are just fantastic, there are no odors. I really know that he is being well taken care of. Their staff has been there for so many years, some of the caregivers have been there 9-10 years.

Things have gone very well. She is pleased with the care my dad is getting, and their compassion. They are being great stewards of his care. It's immaculate and well run. I really don't have any concerns or complaints.

They are doing the most fantastic job. They are angels from heaven. I can't stress how well they are taking care of my step-mother. They are above and beyond attentive to her. They care more about their residents than I think they do themselves sometimes. They are working with me to help with family difficulties. I didn't think a place like this could ever exist. I can't say enough good things about them, it's more than perfect. They just took such a load off of our minds.

They are excellent. We are very happy with them. They are clean and the staff is friendly. It's working out pretty well so far. We haven't had any complaints about food at all so far.

I visited there several times, interviewing staff, looking for a place for my mother to move. She is not quite ready yet, but if the opportunity comes, that is definitely where I want her to move. There are a variety of room sizes, and one of the things they offered that others didn't, was a small closet for limited selection of clothing for her to dress herself, as well as additional storage for her other belongings. The food was catered to each individual resident. I don't have an opinion on activities because I wasn't there to view them.

There is so much that they have done which they should be praised for. My uncle is not expected to live much longer, and they have all -every single one of them - been extremely caring, accommodating, and helpful. Sheryl has been really great to work with. So has Michelle. OJ, one of the night aids has become really good friends to my uncle and I really appreciate that. I would highly recommend Avalon Memory Care.

The place is very clean, the staff is very caring, and it is just a really good overall place. I do think it would be good if the residents were able to go outside more, but for reasons having to do dementia and DADS (Disability Assessment for Dementia Scale) requirements they are not able to go out much. Maybe in the next building they can set it up with a courtyard in the middle where the building goes around it. I would hope that would meet DADS requirements while letting the residents get outside more often.

They have been incredibly courteous and attentive to details. It is a very warm and caring environment. The staff really knows what they are doing, and they seem to enjoy it, or at least they do it with a very positive attitude. I would highly recommend Avalon Memory Care.

They were very responsive in the beginning, and very easy to deal with to make it a very smooth transition. They were really good at keeping us informed and have given us great peace of mind. It has been a very good experience with Avalon Memory Care.

Avalon did a good job, they were helpful, and friendly. It was clean, and there weren't any real concerns.

My dad has been there at Avalon Memory Care since the middle of October. They have all been very nice to dad and the rest of us. They go out of their way to make sure that all our questions are answered and all our needs have been met.

When I transferred my father from one facility to the other, it could have been much harder for him given the state of dementia that he is in. They did an excellent job helping him through the transitioned. They are very well trained on how to handle dementia patients.
