Avalon Memory Care

I toured this community for the care for my mom. I liked the staff who were available to answer my questions. The community was clean and maintained. It did appear that they had activites. I wanted a smaller community for my mom's care. Over all families would like this for a good place and a good value.

I am very happy with the care that my mom is getting from the nice and caring staff that are available. They do have some activities that are offered. The meals seem to be alot of chicken alot and a little too often it is served. I would suggest that families check out this community for a smaller yet nice community for good care.

We were very, very pleased with this community and the staff. They were really good with my mother in law. They did everything that needed to be done. I would recommend them to friends and family. Just a wonderful place.

My grandmother has been at Avalon in Keller for 3 months now. My whole family could not be more pleased with the care she is receiving there! Most importantly, she nows calls Avalon her home. [Removed], the director, is top notch. She is an expert at caring for people suffering from Alzheimer's & dementia. Her heart for people is evident In what she does & her humor makes it fun to be there. The facility is very clean & fresh smelling. The staff are attentive and friendly. I've eaten there twice & the food is excellent! We checked out several places in the Keller & Southlake area before choosing Avalon. We are happy with our decision & I highly recommended Avalon in Keller.

This is a great community. The staff is caring and very helpful. They do offer activities to help keep active. The community is clean and well taken care of. Highly recommend to other families for good care.

We chose Avalon Memory Care in Keller mainly because it is a smaller facility, and the staff to resident ratio is the best I've seen at any facility anywhere. When I first met with the director, Irene, I was very impressed with her experience and care for the residents. When we explained the needs of our family member, she immediately told us what her plan of care would be to help him. Our family member has been at Avalon for over one month and we couldn't be happier. While nothing will change the fact that he is in the end stages of Alzheimer's, right now his appetite has vastly improved, he hasn't had any falls, he doesn't resist being bathed, and he just seems so much more content than I've ever seen him. My advice to any family looking for quality memory care; ask what the staffing ratio is during the day and night. The state of Texas allows one staff per 16 residents and you definitely don't want a place that only meets the minimum because eventually you'll have to hire a sitter to maintain safety of your loved one.

I received a proper tour of the community from the tour guide. I was amazed of how organized and clean the rooms and the whole community were. The guide showed me the meals available and the activities that are offered. The setup of the place was good for my loved one. The location unfortunately wasn't were i wanted.

The staff at Avalon Memory Care have been very pleasant. They are very friendly and have done a great job caring for our loved one. The community is well kept and nice. It is always clean and smells nice. They have a variety of activities available for the residents to participate in. Our loved one has enjoyed the meals served.

I placed my mother into Avalon Memory Care after she has suffered 2 hip replacements in 3 weeks. My mother STILL doesn't know she broke her hip, that's how she broke it the second time. Avalon personnel are incredibly attentive! They provide my mother 24 hour personal care when needed, and they know EXACTLY how to care for, and interact with, a full dementia patient. My mom is so happy at Avalon, and they are caring for her body and mind. This was EXACTLY what she needed. She is connecting with the caregivers, and they are also very good to us, her family. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

My mother is at the Hughes house with Avalon and has been there for almost 2 years. My sisters and I love everything about it! The caretakers, the cleanliness, the attention to care is all impeccable! My Mom had a bit of an adjustment period but they worked with us and after a couple of weeks all was good. Now she is super content and stays healthy with their attention to care! Love it! Our stress level has diminished dramatically-it's almost non existent!

I really liked Avalon for its smaller size and the family environment. I liked that they focus on the individual resident for care and activities. I really liked the showers in the rooms.

Really like the facility. Very clean and fresh smelling environment. Rooms are very nice, well maintained with nice outside views. Mother is having concerns about the distance she would have to drive from home to visit. She still drives but is 88 years old and really does not like getting on the freeway. Still under consideration.

My father has been at Avalon in Keller for two months now and I could not imagine him being anywhere else. Irene and her staff are OUTSTANDING!!! They have taken the time to get know him which was very important for me and for him. It was always so difficult to leave him when he was at other facilities because I knew he was not getting the care and attention that he needed. Now, he is actually thriving at Avalon in Keller and is happier than I thought possible under these circumstances. Thank you to Irene and her staff for providing me, my family, and those that care about my dad with the peace of mind that we desperately needed. I highly recommend Avalon in Keller!!!

This community is very nice. It is clean. The staff is very friendly. The provide good care to their residents and have some activities for them to take part in. Overall very nice place.

My dad is doing great here at this community. It is clean in and out of the community and the staff people are so attentive and courteous. The staff help make my dad comfortable every day. The food tastes really good, no complaints. My dad has even got to join in on Bingo and other activities. I like to hear my dad is enjoying himself and I would recommend this community if you want to have the best care.

This is truly an excellent community and everything is working out very well for my friend. She has adjusted very well, better then we expected. She really loves it here. The staff has been very helpful and friendly . The community looks great, everything is nice and clean. The food is okay. she says it could be better. There are nice activities offer for her to choose from. They are caring for her well and I would recommend it.

After several different hospital stays, two memory care facilities, and a rehab center for our father in the course of three months, my sister and I were very discouraged about care for seniors. What we found more oft than not were people who wanted a paycheck and did not want to engage with or properly care for seniors with memory/dementia/Alzheimer's issues. Then by a great stroke of luck, we were told of Avalon and, specifically, of the care center at Crestmere. The first thing we learned was that it is not a center or facility -- it is a home. It really is a home! The staff are wonderful, the house and rooms are clean and our father, who has a big appetite, eats to satisfaction where as other places he was so hungry. The staff laugh about his appetite and truly seem fond of him. After a few weeks, our mother, who has Alzheimer's joined him. Initially, we had been scared. However difficult our mother is in her Alzheimer's the staff are constantly reassuring my family, telling us what to expect and helping both us and our parents adjust. This is how I always hoped or thought, then wished senior care was like. We know our parents are cared for with respect, dignity and patience. I believe Avalon to be a leader in senior care and other "care" facilities should take note of Avalon.

There are not enough words to express my gratitude to Matt, Judy, and the staff at Avalon Garland. My family was lost in the mire of senior living/Medicaid/doctors/lawyers/emotions associated with moving Mom out of the house she had lived in for 50 years to an assisted living facility. One phone call to Matt and his team resolved all of our problems and worries. He made the process simple and assured us every step of the way. Matt is always available for even the most ridiculous of questions and concerns. Mom is safe and happy now at Avalon. Thanks Matt. I had forgotten that there were kind and caring people left in this world.

Avalon Memory Care in Arlington has been wonderful. I always get a "live" person when I call, not an answering machine. Everyone is very professional there and communication is not a problem. The care that my sister in law receives is excellent. She has been in 4 other facilities and the difference in care is substantial. From start to move, Michelle was excellent in the transition phase. The manager and staff are wonderful, caring and compassionate people. I also like the medical care she receives in house. So far, our experience with Avalon has been great! I don't feel like my sister in law is just another "bed" in a facility of 200 residents. This is a small facility and everyone knows each other. I also see the same staff each time I visit. There is not the usual employee turnover here and there is not the usual "large corporate" feel to this place. I would definitely recommend Avalon.

Avalon is a beautiful facility that is spacious and has lots of amenities. The place is clean and well kept. The staff does an excellent job of providing care with compassion to the residents. The level of care is excellent.
