The facility is somewhat aged and has the basic amenities. It is well maintained. The grounds are well maintained and provide a serine setting for the residents, with plenty of walking room and areas to sit. One Bedroom apartments are fairly small, however, have ample closet space. The help staff is very friendly and I have witnessed an eagerness to help. They appear to know, by name, everyone in the community. My one comment is that there should be more assistance in transitioning new members into the community - a kind of big sister or big brother program - help with understanding the programs, how to take part in the community. My mom commented several times on the fact that information was not forthcoming or inconsistent. New resident orientation is not soon enough. This resulted in my mom having a very poor first impression of the community and a negative attitude. The food service is fair. In the few times our family has dined with mom (main dining room), the food and the service was inconsistent - cold, not what was requested (side dishes or condiments), long wait times. Based on my experience and comments received from my mom, the wait staff does not listen or does not provide clarification. Some examples - ordered a diner roll (received slice of bread), ordered mustard and onions (received Ketchup and relish), ordered baked potato (received potato with no condiments - butter etc., and was not asked if it was wanted when ordered. Laundry facilities in each of the resident buildings seem to small - only one set of washer/dryer. Wait times are very long.

Takes David Troxel's 'best friends' approach, cost is w/in budget plus June is 10% off plus $3K move-in allowance; room has a kitchenette, chapel is a big part & the memory care folks attend with the assisted living residents. Then and now pics at entrance. Rooms stay locked or have door open.Initial assessment would be done at Mom's house. Outside paths ok, but needs flowers. Has one raised flowerbed.

My father-in-law has been very happy since he moved in here. It is a beautiful community that is very safe. The food seems to be really good. I was impressed with Summerhill from the first day. All of the residents are encouraged to socialize and are gotten out of their rooms often -- my father-in-law does not spend all of his time in his room, which is great. There are many places for people to gather, like the family room, dining room, and patio, and the staff provides many chances for them to all get out and about. Great community atmosphere!

Mom and I looked at every assisted living facility in Tyler. Atria Willow Park has a bright clean environment with reasonably large apartments. The design around a central atrium is easy to navigate and much better than the LONG hallways that all look the same. The staff is accessible and pleasant. There are organized activities and other residents have been friendly. Mom is not crazy about the food, but they are cooking for many people and try to serve things that a majority like and will eat.

I live more independently within the community, but it has been pretty good so far. The staff/caregivers are very very nice, caring, and friendly. The rest of the residents are very nice as well. One of my only complaints is with the food: they have an often strange variety of food that I am not always interested in. The meal hours are also weird. For example, dinner ends at 6:00. There are stores close by, and the surrounding neighborhood is pretty nice. Otherwise, great community.

Everything has been lovely, they are very good. We had some growing pains when we first got there. We were able to be on top of things, we have a lot of family to advocate for our loved one. They responded to our feedback and we are much happier. It takes time for them to get to know the new resident and the family. Their social activities are fantastic, just about anything you can think of to do. People are out in the common room, and talking and doing things. She has totally perked up socially since she has been there. The food is good. I would say that just because a person is able-bodied and mostly independent, they still need to be checked on. I am thrilled with our decision. I love the look of the place, I feel proud telling people where she is. They are fantastic!

My Mom is 91 and just broke her Hip. She was a bit disoriented when we arrived at Atria. The staff is very helpful and very nice and after a few weeks my Mom is starting to adjust to being at Atria. The food is great and the place is very clean. I now have peace of mind knowing my mom is in a clean safe place to live.

We loved the staff, residents, and the food exceeded our expectations. We were shown a couple of apartments which were a bit worn but the atmosphere of the community was so hospitable that Helen was comfortable here. We will definitely keep this one in the choice list.

It was affordable and the food was fairly. And they were accommodating. We didn’t need any care services and we didn’t use any activities that they offered, so I don’t know much about them. We picked them because of the affordability.

This seemed like a really nice facility. Because of cost, we were looking at semi-private. The semi-private room I looked at required the second resident to walk through the first resident's area to get to their bedroom and the first resident to walk through the second's to get to the bathroom. If you are looking for memory care only, this is not the place.

It’s definitely a community that doesn’t need a secure environment – anyone with any kind of memory troubles – people who are moderately independent – it’s great! They do have activities and outings. They have bingo and happy hours. My loved one is very happy.

Very nice atmosphere, but they only had studios and our mom wants a bedroom/living area separated.

The Atria Longmont has been working out pretty well. My brother and I are both generally pleased with it. We really have no complaints, they are doing a good job.

They are extremely friendly and greet everyone by their name. Their approach is to give the caregiver a break, which were welcome words after running around the area, interviewing places and see which one will fit their need. The location was very important as it was within a mile of the doctors and only a few hundred feet away from the Tulley Center for out patient needs. Still new to the place only 1 month so far. The real test will be how they handle Long Term Care. The person I placed there loves it and enjoys all the activities they have to offer. Price wise you get more bang for your bucks here compared to other places in the area.

It was very expensive. The staff was very friendly. I thought the food was great, but my mom got a little tired of it, but institutionalized food can be like that.

We moved Mom into the Life Guidance Unit at Atria Lincoln Place. Since she has moved, I have had many contacts with the staff there. They are encouraging Mom to participate in the daily activities and she seems to be enjoying them. I have email and phone contact with the Director and her availability has made the transition easy for me, as well as Mom.

Sunrise has really gone above and beyond to work with my loved one and make sure she is receiving the care that she needs, in all aspects! Sure, it was a bit of a rough and rocky start, but they have always called and worked with me to come up with the best care solution for my loved one while things worked themselves out. I had previously visited another Sunrise location and was impressed with that facility, so this was my top choice for my loved one. Jay Gardner, one of the directors, was constantly in touch with me and bent over backwards to make everything work smoothly, and it was not an easy situation, so he did great!

Good place, staff excellent, starting on a 18 month renovation soon. They promise it will have no impact on residents and gave good rate

This community is very clean, and the staff are all very nice! As for the food, she likes it, so that's good. They could definitely improve on the activities - just providing more of them, as well as a better variety. We chose them because the building itself is very nice, and the staff impressed us with their kindness.

We definitely had a rocky start with this place, but I will say that they are working with us to make improvements. Specifically, they could improve their communication. There are times where we need to be aware of what's happening, and it would be nice to be informed in a timely manner. Like I said, though, they are working with us. We chose this place because I felt they were sincere, and there are lots of people that go above and beyond here. There are just still some pieces that aren't clicking. First and foremost, though, they care! Operationally, there's some fine tuning that needs to be done, but its a work in progress!
