It has only been a month but so far Mom is as happy as one can be who can no longer stay in her own home. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is the "welcome" package did not contain some pertinent information: hours of the restaurants, schedule of activities, no one showed her where her mail box was nor got her a key for it. The place is clean (barring construction stuff) and the food is good. I am sure that once the trauma of the move is over Mom will find her place in the social network and star enjoying herself.

My ex-husband is at The Patrician. It has it's good and fair times for him.....although he would be a challenge for any place to completely please. So far, this seems to be a good place for him. He has been there now for 6 months or so. W e like that it is a by the month place which has made him feel he is not permanently placed somewhere he might not like so much and has too much invested to move.

My mother is staying here, she does experience depression due to the changes in her life, and from basic mental deterioration. The head nurse is very helpful working with me to balance out mom's moods. The staff is friendly, I feel there needs to be a higher caregiver/resident ration as she also needs extra self care help. The food is very good from the menu. The 'daily meals' are adequate, if veggie consumption is priority, one needs to be mindful, as they tend to slack in that area with the pre-selected choices for the 'daily meal'. If your loved one is mostly self sufficient, this is a good place. The crafts are ok, keeps them busy

The staff seems genuinely caring and concerned for the residents, however my mother has only been living here for a little over a month and she is still adjusting to the concept of 'assisted living' versus the 'independent living' community from which she came. Over the past few months there have been some management changes, and time will tell if this has a positive or negative impact on the running of the community. I've attended 2 family functions to date, and the family members of other residents have expressed strong satisfaction with the care provided to their loved ones. The points of contention for me to deal with right now are: laundry snafus which have occurred 2 out of 5 weeks, inadequate mentoring to acclimate my mother to the offerings of the community and management's failure to include me in the 1 month assessment of my mother's adjustment to the community. As with many communities, I'm keeping a close watch on the advertised activities vs. what is actually taking place on a consistent basis, along with the quality of those activities. Promises made during initial visits and what is on calendars and brochures can sometimes be overzealous compared to what is being delivered. I will be keeping a close eye on the environment and my mother's reaction to living here. I will be looking to post updated insights of mine in this forum in the near future.

Atria Chandler Villas is okay. I wouldn't say that they are the best but they are not the worst. They need to improve their facility maintenance type items. My grandmother requested a screen door and it took forever for them to install one. There was also a latch that was broken and they haven't fixed it yet. There needs to be more consistency with the caregivers that come dispense the medicines. It is a hard enough transition for my grandmother and just as soon as she gets used to someone specific and their schedule they leave and someone new comes in. It seems like there are too many different people coming in and out. In general though the facility is nice.

There was singing going on that drew a crowd and everyone seemed to be happy.

So far so good seems to be plenty of activities the staff seems fine, we have not had any issues we barely been there for 5 weeks nothing to complaint about.

I found Atria Chandler Villas to be a great beacon of hope for my loved one. Costs are reasonable for the amount of amenities and activities they provide. Very welcoming and food was a delicious! Friendly staff and happy with our decision.

We fell in love w Atria Palm Desert right away. The friendliness of the staff that felt natural, not forced. All the residents we chatted w were happy, friendly & open about the place when asked about their experiences there. My mom has been there 12 days & has enjoyed it from day one. She is eating better & getting involved w the daily activities & meeting new friends daily! I was concerned she would stay sedentary like she was at her house, but it's been quite the opposite, & I am grateful. The food served is really good. (Although I must ad, they must have a new chef as on meatloaf night I heard quit a few comments that it just wasn't as good as so n so's meatloaf.) My only drawback from 5 stars is the cable TV issue we are having & they don't have her name at her front door yet. I myself have talked to the cable co when Mom was told by the maintenance guy "what she has is what she gets!" I have the same cable service plus chkd with cable co myself & found out the missing channels do come as part of what's paid for. This issue isn't resolved & the channel lineup the front desk hands out is a year old & not accurate. I will get my mom her channels! Central air in each room w their own control is a plus. This Atria is smaller in space which to me is more intimate for being social & not extra floors to get lost & scared. The residents are elderly, get confused & easily out of sorts & this place helps to establish a secure feeling. I am a "hands on" daughter. My mom wanted to downsize but has early Parkinson's so needed lots of help moving. It's been a very smooth transition & I also do some activities w her. This so far has been a wonderful change for her.

Overall, Atria Willow Park is a good place. The current residents seem to be happy and have good things to say about Atria. The food is adequate. There are multiple activities with many of the residents participating. The apartments are small with only one small window located in the bedroom to give sunlight. For those apartments around the atrium (all the way up to the third floor), there is a noise factor coming from the many activities that take place in the atrium, i.e., happy hour/music, bingo, exercise.

What sold us on the complex was the W/D in each unit. In a prior property there were communal W/D's that were either broken or residents forgot to take out their laundry. Also, the walk-in closet, bathroom storage, and bedroom size were all selling features. Mother's main issues now are: not having staff to draw her into activities, they seem to leave that to fellow residents, which is not working, in her case; and the dining room has a strict dress-code, which does not match her personal taste.

Clean, comfortable, attractive, and friendly. However they do not deliver any medical services. At all. There is NO medical care here. And their communications are abominable. Nobody knows anything, not even about their own policies, and you get a different answer about services and pricing depending on who you ask. However, it is a lovely environment at a good value if all you need is room and board and some basic assistance, such as incontinence care.

Liked how it is in walking distance of things to do. Staff is nice . Food is good.

There have been a few things here that haven't been the best, things I have had to bring to their attention. They have kind of stepped up their game after a few complaints. So they have been responsive. I have eaten here with my dad, and the food is pretty decent, it's not bad.

Staff is very good and receptive. It would be helpful if they gave you a list of who is in charge of what if you need to call with a question or request. My mom's room has lots of natural light. One negative is there seems to be no outdoor space to be outside except for right in front of the building. Would be nice if there were a garden area -

I think she is not as happy as she was hoping to be. They seem to have gotten away from their concept of independent living. There seems to be more residents that are assisted living type residents, with aides and much more dependent, than any other place we saw. One of the reasons we chose them was that they have a more reasonable price. It's clean but they have gotten away from what they could have been as an independent community.

The community was a very nice place well equipped to care for the residents. It was always clean, and the staff was both informative and offered a lot of feedback that was helpful to us as well. There were an abundant variety of activities offered to the residents, getting them to be well engaged and keeping them active as well. Although the food was great, the dining room experience was the only negative aspect I found here. The service was very slow on more than one occasion, and it was not serviced very efficiently, leaving many to complain, the staff was often short or running behind.

I did feel that there was a lack of information that they provided me at orientation. Also, I got a large bill and it was not itemized, so I am not clear exactly what I am paying for. I am sure I can get an itemized statement, but I have to go through a payment processing company that they use, so that's a hassle. The facility is very very clean, and they made mom feel very welcome right away. They also have a lot of really good activities going on. So there are plenty of positives and overall it has been a generally positive experience, just a few administrative things that I feel they can improve on.

Their attitude is impeccable for the most part. The place is immaculately clean. The people there are very nice. They are not always consistent in how fast they respond when there is a need. The place at Atria Center City is very nice. It is incredibly pricey, and I am not sure if I feel the value is there. They definitely provide a lot, but for the money... But then I know that all of these places are not cheap.

We looked at many places for our Mom after getting lots of advice and opinions. Casa was the first place we toured in this area and every visit to other options always led us back here. The staff is so friendly and kind and never make us feel like we are asking too many questions or bugging them. The administration has a very visible/accessible presence. There are always residents out and about in the Assisted living public areas, which is a much different experience from where our Mom use to live. It is so nice as she needs people around her. There are activities and many options for the residents to participate in. This was a very good choice for us!
