Atria Southpoint Walk is a lovely retirement community with many friendly helpful people allowing seniors to live well and stay safe. Dining options need to be improved both in variety and nutrition. the selections offered are repetitive and not enough options like salads and fruit are offered. Therapies - PT/OT and speeck offered through Legacy are excellent and available on site.

We chose Atria on the Hudson because of the location and the facility space/layout and setting. The room sizes here are a little above adequate, they have more space than I saw in some other places we looked into. She says the food here is excellent, they have a chef that prepares the meal on site. The best part about the community so far has been the urgency to ensure the residents are protected against COVID. They have been diligent and on top of their game and have pretty much been COVID free. I would recommend the community.

My husband and I have lived here one year. Meeting new people who enjoy some of the same things you do has been rewarding. The staff is wonderful. They always greet the residents by their first name which makes you feel like part of a family. We are looking forward to participating in all the activities that were offered before the pandemic. I’m proud to live in a place that follows all the recommended CDC guidelines making sure we stay healthy.

I've lived here for about 3 years now. My family chose Atria for me and I like living here. I have a beautiful view of the park. When I used to visit my friends at other communities I always noticed the foul smells and I never have that experience here. They have a lot of activities to choose from. The staff does good in responding to my requests and helping me.

My Mom has been at the Atria Sugar Land facility for a little over three years. She is one of the older residents at the facility. I live in Florida and visit about 4 times a year. The facility itself is very lovely with a lot of open space and always seems very well maintained and clean. The majority of the staff are generally friendly although there is one staff member who seems to treat my mom poorly. For what we are paying it seems to be on par with most Assisted Living Facilities. The Care Services is one area of concern. It never appears that there is a Case Manager to address many of my mother's concerns, it always seems to be diverted back to the family. Some of her concerns could be simply handled by an adequate case management team. With her advanced age, we will need to navigate the next steps for her care and eventually move her to a facility that offers more hands on nursing. Or help her and her family navigate Medicare etc.. I am not sure what the case manager role is at Atria. If there is one at all. The last item, activities, Atria seems to do a great job with providing activities. Although my mom complains a lot because at 87 she still wants to be very active, I do realize there are activities for her to do. Although I understand the COVID protocol and believe Atria has done a fabulous job keeping my mom safe. I wish they would consider opening up the front porch to allow her to sit out front and interact more with other residents. I know this is a big ask due to the on going pandemic, but, it may help her to feel less bottled up in the room. Although you do let her out with family quite a bit, which I appreciate as well. So I guess my only complaint would be the lack of adequate case management services. Thank You.

Beautiful place I love all the people that serve us and are very good to us very wonderful, everyone is helpful, activities are wonderful I want this COVID to end to go back to doing activities with friends.

Atria Forest community is very well kept, its clean, attractive looking and very nice. They offer a lot of activities some are exercise classes, bingo, care games and different themed parties. The only complaint our loved one and the other residents have had is the quality of the food, it could be better we would give it a three out of five. The rooms at this community are very nice.

I have lived in this community for almost five years. We have had ups as well as downs. It is a lovely facility and in a great location. My life here has been full and comfortable. Management has come and gone, however, we now have a new Executive Director that I believe is a perfect fit for our community. The residents are hopeful for our weak spots to be corrected with his leadership and his positive approach. With positive thoughts and a cheerful attitude we can be the No.1 community in this city. I urge our residents to enjoy the benefits and embrace life in our lovely facility. May we all be encouragement to our new director as he continues to raise the bar.

My loved one likes the community, since COVID it has caused problems with perception with my loved one. The other issue my loved one has with the community is that they are veterinarian with not many selections available. The community has been able to keep a safe environment, since they have not had any cases of COVID. We were able to take my loved one out of the community, to a park to socialize. My loved one was very outgoing to be friendly to the residents. There are some residents that have been friendly back. I would a few friends in the community.

Overall, I think Atria Park of St. Josephs is a nice place. They seemed to be very cautious with the corona-virus. The one complaint I have would be the food, it is not very good. They do not put any seasoning on it so it is bland. I have been happy with the staff members here. One thing I have noticed is that they have always been good with me. They have a maintenance person who goes into the rooms who will help you with things that you need. I have had better luck getting in touch with them via email rather than when I call. Overall, I would recommend the community.

Staff, Management, and aides provide a clean, friendly and hospitable atmosphere. Responsiveness and a genuine sense of client service abound. Locale provides ample opportunity for a variety of splendid visages and all suggestions, comments and, yes, complaints (after all we are seniors) are addressed promptly. A facility which treats with dignity and respect.

As an 80 something widower wallowing in grief and sorrow, having lost my wife of 57 years a few months before, I was caught in a typhoon of loneliness and self pity. My daughter, a Philadelphian suggested Atria. Having the usual images of an “old folks home”; I nonetheless agreed to a tour and admission conference. Almost at once I picked up on the positive vibes of the talented staff, and subsequent to moving in, my fears were fully allayed, Staff, food, services, cleanliness and entertainment factors border on excellence. Literally, every caregiver and aide, staff and associates are personable and gracious in all respects. I give them a 9.9 (must retain my rating for the one and only Bo Derek),

We chose Atria North Point because it was a good fit for my dad. It was in between on price and it had some flexibility on packages. He was provided 2 meals a day, but you had flexibility if you wanted more meals a day. The food here was good, they were provided choices off of a menu if you did not want what they were serving. The facility is more modern looking and is in a good location. I would recommend the community.

I would invite my friends to come to this community. The food is lousy right now, before COVID the food was wonderful. They are delivering meals to our rooms instead of us using the dining room. The activities currently include: walking, horse racing, and bingo. There were prior activities all the time.

My loved one has felt very well cared for. When she was sick, the nurse would check in on her regularly, and sit with her while she was in pain after dry socket from a tooth extraction. They are over the top with Covid, so I haven’t been in the facility in a while, which is good and bad. Good for safety, but I no longer have a relationship with her caregivers which I miss. And with Covid my loved on hasn’t gotten the exercise she needs because of quarantining, which I also understand.

The community tries very hard to do everything they can for the residents. The food hasn't been great for my loved one and the menu isn't varied enough. The dining doesn't have bananas and yogurt at this time. The room is very comfortable for my loved one. The community is allowing virtual visits. The in-person visits is in the back of the community and it is separated by a glass door. This area is very noisy.

I am a family member of an independent living resident. My parent has been a resident for 2+ years. I find the staff very helpful and courteous and all of the common areas very clean and comfortably furnished. My parent does not use care services, other than the included housekeeping and meals, nor does he participate in activities. The latter is by his own choice; he is not a joiner. He does, however, enjoy having friends his own age to talk to and with whom he can enjoy meals. While the months of quarantine have been trying, the staff is doing a good job of keeping residents and family informed.

I would say it is probably one of the best assisted living communities in Manhattan. They can be inflexible with care routines. Whenever the care providers are terrific. I don't recommend for a spouse to live there, if they don't require assisted living. The food is very good. The public space can feel dark and bleak, and they are similar to apartment communities. If staying on the island of Manhattan this is probably the best place to go for assisted living.

I feel they killed my mom. My mom was one of the residents that died in the community in April due to COVID. Most residents that needed fulltime care or the Memory Care died due to due to complications of COVID-19. My ratings are prior to COVID.

We liked the most because of the setting and building. The community was adequate and good in other ways. They may not have been able to provide all we were hoping. We hoped for more assistance with nursing staff, as it felt a little sparse. Some of the staff was friendly and others were not and it depended on the individual personalities.
