Atria

I have been residing at Atria West 86th for over a month now. Although I'm fairly new to the community, I'm still adjusting to the routine. This environment is stable and it serves the purpose transferring from the hospital to independent living. I am grateful for the services that I'm receiving especially with medication management. I feel supported and overall content.

I have been residing at Atria West 86th for eight years. I call this community my home. Throughout the years, my experiences with the facility has been great. The employees are helpful and they have been providing me with the care that I need and continue to need ongoing. I also appreciate the Social Work Department as they meet my needs and expectations and most importantly provide me with ongoing support. I hope this will continue in the future.

We had a great tour with Atria, all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The facility itself had not been updated in a while, we just felt it was not the best fit for us.

The staff is very accommodating and I am enjoying the comradery with residents. I would like to see more diversity in the entertainment. Overall--has everything to meet my needs.

I'm a resident of Atria West 86th for about 8 months now. I moved in the community to recover from major surgery and have been staying in my home since. This is my home that I feel safe and comfortable living in. I find that this facility serves the purpose to become mobile again and receive the proper care that I needed and continues to receive till this day. Now that I am more independent, I enjoy my life again.

Our family first toured the Atria and once we pulled our loved one out of their first community we came straight to Atria. This was in our top two choices and so far we have had a positive experience. We know right now all communities are struggling with staffing, but even with Atria being understaffed we still get timely responses if not right away then within 24hrs. Overall they have very good communication.

I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. I liked the layout and how clean the community was. The entire plan is a great idea. The seniors need a place where they can be and it doesn't include all of their meals. It would be nice to have the option for the residents to cook for themselves. My loved ones didn't care for the fact that they had to be paying for the meals they didn't eat.

The place is nice and staff is great. The activity assistants are great with assisting me on my phone issues. My husband and I made a lot of new acquaintances.

I have lived here for 2+ years and have occupied two different apartments, due to my husbands death went to a different apartment. Staff was extremely helpful in process with the move. Made new friends and new social connections.

What I like about the community includes playing bingo with everyone, the snacks served in the Bistro, playing other games like Wheel of Fortune/Family Feud/Scattergories.

I'm relatively a new resident and moved in [date removed]. I'm very much acclimated to the routine of the community. It's a God send and a tremendous help that I'm receiving transportation services to and from my treatment. It's a unique experience that we have the option to go to the Grille and the dining room for meals, which they're open long hours. The flexibility of the dining room is a plus including the open seating. In regards to the activities, it's interesting to me that there's something stimulating and interesting to attend to everyday. Overall, I'm content with the services provided and has met my expectations.

I have been residing in the community for 2 weeks now. I'm slowly adjusting to the routine of the facility and beyond grateful for the help of the staff for making the transition easy. I enjoy participating in the socialization activities of my preferences and there are so many to choose from. There is always something to do, which makes my day exciting.

I have been residing in the community for 7 years and I truly enjoy my experience here. I feel very protected here especially during the Covid lockdown. I feel grateful that management and staff kept us safe during the pandemic and continues to provide us with services needed. This place is home for me and I'm very much comfortable living here and will continue to live here for as long as possible. My only reservation is the cost but overall I am very happy here.

I have been residing at Atria West 86th for the past 3 months as respite. I've had a great experience living here. This facility has given me shelter when I needed it most while undergoing treatment and staff have been more than accommodating. I would've loved to stay longer if I wasn't relocating back to my home upstate.

Everyone is so nice and so accommodating. Even when I thought my parents were being unreasonable, the staff reacted to them much more nicely than I would have. It was no big deal to them. They just did what hey could to meet my parent's needs, and they did so in a way that my parents didn't feel handled. So they are very respectful. Sometimes their follow through isn't all that I would hope. But the food is good. There's a wide variety. They have a huge menu, and if there's something you want that's not on the menu, they'll try to make that happen. My parents like that there's dessert offered at every meal. It looks like they have a lot of activities and a wide range of things to do. I thought it was very expensive at first, until I talked to some friends about their experience at a different community.

The staff was knowledgeable and professional. The facility was very nice and clean. I would definitely feel comfortable leaving my loved one at this place.

Our family had an in person tour and we thought Atria Grapevine was a very nice facility and the director gave a wonderful tour. We were able to check out the memory care area and see the residents. They had many different activities going on in different areas. They have a very nice garden and patio area outside we overall were very impressed.

We have not been able to eat the meals ourselves, but just from speaking with our loved one he really seems to enjoys the meals and dining and the activities.
