My father passed away after only being there a short time, but he was enjoying himself and was treated really well. I think he would have thrived at Lake Howard Heights. Everyone was terrific to him.

They do a great job at Bickford of Buckhead! It's a clean, well kept community, and the staff are all very friendly. They are particularly good when it comes to staying in touch with families, they really go out of their way to make sure everyone is kept up to date on their loved one's status. They also do a great job with the food, I've tried it myself and was impressed!

a place 4 mom & dad really did help me a great deal. they really where on the ball. it took about 2 weeks 2 find me a place.

We visited ten different facilities to find a place for my mom and sister. Some facilities were very close to where we live and would have been very convenient. But, when we walked into LifePointe, which is a thirty minute drive, we knew it was THE place for our loved ones. Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The residents were all over the place enjoying themselves doing different activities. LifePointe has physical and occupational therapy on site, as well as a nurse practitioner. There is also a full-time activities director who is fabulous. The staff made us feel right at home and when it came time to decide we based our decision on where we, ourselves, would like to live and LifePointe was the place.

There was nothing wrong with it. It was more established and there were already friendships established. It was very clean and everyone was very friendly. I’d rate it really highly though.

The staff at Bickford has continued to impress us daily. Every employee seems to truly love working there - which was very important to us. Sheri Maddox is wonderful in her role as sales director; she was thorough and prompt and enjoyable in all our discussions/transactions. Cheryl Stroud has also been warm and professional and thorough. She, too, responds to our requests and concerns promptly. Every CNA we've met has seemed to truly care about our mother and all the residents - and we've experienced this as late as 2 in the morning. The facility is attractive and clean and cozy and the recent renovations are lovely. Cheryl and Sheri accommodated our room-specific requests so that our mother could have the things in her room that would make her comfortable and keep the upset of a move from "home" as minimal as possible. So far everything about Bickford has been impressive and has confirmed our decision to move our mother there.

We love the people there they are kind, and caring, it's great! We couldn't be happier, it's really nice. 5++!! We have not had a single negative thing to say. Toni King, was really nice, and the literature seemed nice, and cost wise it was better. We all agreed and after looking at another place we knew that we didn't need to keep looking.

Everyone at Bickford of Alpharetta has been wonderful with my mom and her little dog, who is extremely important to her well being. We moved our mother from Benton House of Alpharetta after just under 6 weeks because of their intolerance with her dog. They offer so many additional services here at no extra charge (such as taking Rocky out 2 or 3 times a day), which just wasn't the case anywhere else I had looked. Their newly renovated residence is beautiful and inviting and the nurses and attendants are patient, thoughtful and kind. Really, everyone is - from the director, La Donna, to assistant director, Ashley, to one of the excellent nurses, Caitlin and wonderful cooks, Laurie, we couldn't be happier and are so thankful we found it through Dawn from A Place for Mom.

They're going a great job here, and it has been working out really well for us. I take my loved one in for daycare a few days a week. I really like that they've got enough staff on hand that they're able to give everyone a good deal of individual attention. I would recommend looking into this place!

My Sister move my Father into Lake Howard Heights in November. The move went very smoothly. His room is spacious, neat and clean. He was able to bring all the things he wanted from home. Dad is enjoying the meals and the fact he is not having to cook, grocery shop, and clean up. The staff is very friendly and helpful. He is getting used to not driving and using the transportation provided for services at Lake Howard Heights. I visited several times during the holiday season and found there was good entertainment and activities to attend daily. He is active in the sittersise and looks forward to attending. He participates in games and social activities. The staff is aware of the safety and whereabouts of the residents. The dining room, lobby, activity, computer room are all very nicely decorated and clean. The building exterior is in the process of being painted and looks very nice. There are nice views out the windows, especially from the front of the building with the lovely lake view of Lake Howard.

On a professional and a caring level, they earn a five star. Maintenance and upkeep could be improved to make sure the equipment is working so that if there is an emergency someone will respond. When the problem was reported they were all over it. For someone on a small income it's kind of high or moderate, at least for what they get. Care services I can't really say we had her discharged, she wasn't there that long. As far as getting her in, getting the assessment, and the reliability, and accountability and the timliness of getting her into the home, they were very, very quick and didn't play around, and they even went to her home 60 miles away to assess her. I've got no complaints with the nurse, the executive directors there, they are all top notch. It would be very beneficial for the staff to be available via email instead of a standard email, especially when you are communicating with the executive directors and you need to get ahold of them for necesary paper work, you do have to call, and then wait for a return call, to be able to get a direct email or even a direct phone number would be ideal. I know they are busy, accessibility to email not just a standard open email but to the individual who is handling the case would be great. We chose them because of their quick response time and the friendliness of walking into the space, and just the overall feel that I got, the southern kind of porch feel and they had two cats that were resident sitting on the porch, they were resident outdoor cats and being able to sit on the porch and rock back and forth, the outdoor space is great. The residents were also very friendly and nice.

This is a caring, wonderful memory care community. Bickford allowed us to visit, unannounced whenever we chose. Our loved one felt very comfortable there and has told us many times that everyone was so very kind and caring. She told us many times the the food was delicious. She still can't stop talking about the wonderful red nail polish they applied.

A beautiful community with excellent staff. the Director was especially helpful, a true professional!

I toured Legacy Ridge at Buckhead and our tour experience was wonderful. Our tour guide was absolutely wonderful; she was knowledgeable and friendly. She followed up without being too much pushy, but was helpful. Legacy is very small and it's exclusively assisted living. The best solution they could have had for my parents to stay together is to have two apartments and cut out a door between the two. There are no full kitchens in assisted, rather a kitchenette and my mom is still cooking. It was very clean. Everyone there knew each other and the staff new the names of residents as we went through. It just wasn't for us. Their model of living wasn't a good fit. Even if they tried to make it work, it'd be extremely small and it's located on a really busy road.

The staff is great, and they do well with multi-tasking. It's a beautiful facility. The staff is kind and attentive. They have a variety of activites, which keeps the residents engaged. It is filled with light, art, and gives an eloquent hotel feeling.

The only reason I didn't give an overall rating of 5 is the facility is brand new, and there have been some growing pains getting their standard operating procedure in place, but that's to be expected. Everything was very upfront, with the exception of some details in the pricing that I wasn't made aware of until I signed the contract. But other than that, I've been pleased with everything and how upfront they were. The staff are all very friendly and seem very concerned about both my parents. And they call me whenever there's any kind of hiccup.

Our tour at Madison Crossings was really good. We liked the look of the facility. It seemed a little less personal as far as the care went. Also, they hadn't fully opened yet.

We had a great tour experience with Lake Howard Heights. The facility was very clean and the staff were all kind and friendly. The reason we did not choose this facility was because it is not set up for memory care, there is no locked unit. If you need memory care it is not the place, but otherwise it looked to be a very nice facility.

The community is too high priced, and the price per month most likely will be going up. The community makes the residents pay for care even though the residents may not need the care, as they are able to dispense their own medication or able to dress or bathe themselves. The housekeeper is very friendly with the residents. The apartment, utilities, housekeeping, all the meals, transportation, laundry, and changing of linens is included in the monthly fee.

my loved one is doing well so far at Lake Howard Heights. the quality of the building is great, it's uniquely polished. it seems like they've gone above and beyond to make it feel and look modern. I really like their approach to the people who live there. they try to connect light personalities to similar people, and so forth. they don't just clump everyone together with hopes that they will figure it out. they really go the extra mile to put those with similar personalities together. they also have a good amount of weekly entertainment, which allows sociability. they try to get the residents to connect with one another, rather than the employees doing most of the interacting. they make it to where you are meant to find a true connection with others vs sitting in a room all day. it's not all medical, physical therapy or occupational therapy - they try to make you feel at home. usually in group settings, it seems almost "too" medical. most communities are ran by the employees and they expect the people to follow suit. at Lake Howard, they create a sense of community so that you feel like your own person. I also like how they present dinner. there are cloth dinner napkins at every meal and the meals themselves are very unique. there's a great dietitian on site who provides good nutrition. they have better cooking than most families.
