Artis Senior Living

We have no complaints so far. He is still getting adjusted to everything but is really liking it so far. The deserts are really good, all of the residents go crazy over it. The staff are always keeping an eye on the residents, someone always know where your loved one is when you ask. I would recommend them to others looking.

We did a virtual tour with Artis and it was great. The facility looked very nice and pretty, but it was also expensive. But you get what you pay for.

A lot of the activities are geared towards women in the community than towards the gentlemen. The community has engaged my loved one into helping the maintenance team with different projects in the community.

I haven't experienced much. They're still in lockdown pretty much. They keep telling me things are going to be changing soon. Right now we only get 15-minute visits in a separate room, so I've still not been able to see my loved one's room. He's taken care of from what I can see, and he's eating great. We've had some struggles with grooming, I suspect because my loved one tends to fight getting in the shower and things. But I addressed that with the staff, and they listened and took action. They called me to tell me he had showered, and they assured me he'll be on a regular schedule for haircuts and things. There's probably just some oversights happening since he came in during Covid. The staff are very nice, just sometimes communication is lacking. I'm not sure what activities he's doing, and with his dementia I can't rely on what he tells me. I just think it will be so much better when they open up in the next couple of weeks and you can go in more often and at different times. This is not a bad review, it's just a Covid situation where I don't know exactly what's going on. From what I've seen, I think it's a nice place. When I've called, the staff has been friendly and tried to help me. So once all these restrictions are lifted, I think I'll feel a little better.

There has been a change in management, and some staff have left as well. There are some employees that I would say are wonderful. The meals were better when we first started. This is excellent since the change in management, and the staff is accommodating.

My father has been at your facility for a month now. In a months time, I can not believe how much my father has changed. He is socializing, eating well and is happy ! I can not even tell you how much I appreciate the staff here at Artis. They go above and beyond for every resident living here. It takes a special type of person to care for people with memory issues, as I know first hand it can be very challenging. The respect and patience they give to each resident is wonderful. I am at the facility almost every day spending time with my father and interacting with the staff and everyone has become part of my extended family . They not only have been wonderful to my father, but to me as well. The emotional support they have given me has been a total blessing to me! I am also enjoying getting to know the other residents and their families. Everyone I have come in contact with are wonderful people. Anyone considering placing a loved one into a facility, I know how hard it is, but I without a doubt can tell you this is a top notch facility and you will not be disappointed with the loving care that they will receive. My only regret is that I should have placed him sooner !! From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone at Artis Senior Living for giving my dad a wonderful life and giving me peace of mind with my decision. Love to you all !!

Everything has been going fairly well. It's been kind of a roller coaster with my loved one's health. When we chose this facility, as a family decision, we made the right choice. She is doing well here and we are hoping that this will be a short respite stay so she can come home!

My husband has been living at the community for a few months now. Overall, the staff do a great job and make sure he well taken care of; showered, fed, changed, and bring him down to activities every day. Taking care of him at home was getting too much for me and I cannot thank Artis enough for all that they do. They not only take care of him but cater to me as well. They are very attentive and understand his specific daily needs. There has been recent turnover of management and while I was nervous with all the changes, the place is really on the up and up and things continue to get better; specifically the food and the activities. I have realistic expectations and know it isn't easy getting my husband to participate in the activities program but that doesn't stop them from encouraging him and getting him involved as much as possible. They have a diverse program that cater to their population. I commend Artis for there continued hard work and understand the population they serve isn't easy but I would definitely recommend this community for others in need.

Toured many memory care/assisted living facilities that made it quite easy to decide on Artis. As soon as I walked in it felt like the perfect match for what I felt was necessary for my Aunt to have quality of life. Most facilities living areas are on 2nd or 3rd floor with meals and activities on 1st. Artis is a one story facility, individual dining areas for each community of about 15 residents and, activities easy to get to. After my Aunt lived independently for 2 years at St. Mary's she was diagnosed with dementia and I was told she could no longer live there because they were not equipped to handled someone with her condition.

Family-oriented place. Great outdoor area. Friendly and helpful staff. We like it so far.

It is beneficial for someone who needs memory care to be placed in a facility that is all memory care rather than going to an assisted living facility with a small unit of memory care (which almost seems like an afterthought). At least in my opinion Artis is able to meet more of my father's needs. It is much easier to interact with the medical group. They work with and provide the documentation and bloodwork needs to help support my father's outside oncologist, surgeon and VA doctor.

We loved how the community was set up into "neighborhoods" lending itself to a very intimate living environment. We loved the outdoor space with each neighborhood having its own patio and also the main patio where residents could gather with visiting family and where the admin held outdoor cookouts and live music entertainment. We also loved the scheduling of morning, afternoon and evening activities for the residents.

The staff was very friendly and genuinely cared about my father. They ensured he was healthy, happy, and enjoyed the daily activities.

The staff and food are good. Room is small but kept very clean. I would recommend them to others.

I chose Artis senior living for a number of reasons ands benefits. The location was close and convenient and the facility specialized in memory care. The staff is both attentive and friendly and there are numerous activities and monthly entertainment to keep residents occupied and happy. There is also a very good nursing staff For each small community of residents. I like the fact that they keep me informed on my husbands progress and condition when necessary. It gives me peace and confidence that my husband is in such good care.

It's a smaller community so the care is very personalized. It's also memory care only, so clients are the focus. Yes, we would recommend Artis Senior Living of Princeton Junction

I would say our experience has been good. [Name Removed] is doing very well & enjoys the people, activities & facilities. The staff have been very accommodating & have gone out of their way to welcome her. I would recommend Artis to other families looking for an Alzheimer's care facility. They should visit & tour other similar facilities before making their decision.

The admin staff turns over a lot. The meal schedule is rigid. They have started to charge for meals eaten in the room. The caregivers are good, but they are understaffed. They raised prices and decreased value. Multiple head nurses and admin directors within one year

These are based on my wife's dealings with staff. After 2 years I brought my wife home as I realized with the help of hospice and a family member I could give her better care. I got hospice to give my wife extra care at Artis as they are short handed. Once hospice was in solved, the care from their partners {aids} was reduced. Instead of more care, I was paying Artis but hospice was doing the work.

The facility is clean and the staff are friendly. There are several nurses who attend to my mom and they are very thorough and attentive. Due to the structure of the facility, the residents do not have phones so to contact a resident, arrangements need to be made with the nurse when she visits the resident. Sometimes this works well but sometimes the nurse forgets and that is a bit frustrating although due to the condition of many residents it is the only option. In general the care has been good and the special events, particularly live music is very much enjoyed by some of the residents.
