American House

My father, who is 97 but still young at heart and still able to get around on his own, moved into American House five months ago (June 2021) and is very happy there. The staff is terrific --helping him whenever he has a problem, whether he needs a visit from the nurse-practitioner or needs to have a light bulb changed --and he enjoys having his breakfast and dinner in the dining room. He's made a lot of friends in the building, and likes going down to the lobby to chat with the staff and his fellow residents -- and taking a walk after dinner around the beautifully kept grounds.

I lived here for a little less than a year. I really like everything about this community. Most residents are nice and pleasant, food is good, my apartment is great! The staff works hard, tries their best to please us. I love praying bingo, left/right/center. I do a lot of walking, getting plenty of exercise. Highly recommend.

I have lived in this community for almost 3 years, I love living here. A. The staff really care about us. B. I feel very safe here. C. Generally, the food is very good, D. Most days there is enough activity to keep us busy.

Great quiet location. Very good meals. Very friendly staff!

Elmcroft of Lebanon is the cleanest, friendliest place like this that I've ever seen. Everybody is so nice. And the place is open and full of light. It seems like a happy place to be. If this type of care is something you need for family, come check them out. You won't be disappointed.

My mother is extremely happy here. She enjoys all the live entertainment and exercise opportunities. They even gave her a balloon and card for her birthday recently.

Having been a business entrepreneur I feel qualified in the rating this facility, its Manager [name removed] is superior qualified at her post the entire organization runs a smoothly as a rich ice cream cone and does this in a pleasant manner.

We have found the staff to be wonderful, caring people who look out for my father and help him when he needs anything -- from medical assistance to a visit from the maintenance staff to fix an appliance. My father has made many friends in the building and enjoys going for walks around the grounds and socializing in the dining room at breakfast and dinner. He and I are very happy with American House!

Our family had an in person tour and it is a very nice facility, the gentlemen we spoke with and who gave the tour was very professional it was quite impressive. One thing about Elmcroft it is a national big cooperation which you could tell, and it was one of the most expensive places we say.

We chose America House Keene because it was really close to where we lived. The people who showed us around for the tour bent over backward to accommodate us, they could not have been nicer. They do offer independent living as well as assisted living here. We have a 2 bedroom suite that has a full kitchen, it is a great size for what we need. The activities are extensive and they do a good job with those especially for the size of the community. We have made a lot of friends here and I would recommend them to others who are looking.

My mother needed to transition from rehab to memory care in a hurry. A Place for Mom put me in touch with [name removed] at Freedom Place in Roseville, MI. [name removed] was and is amazing! I met with her on a Monday and within eight days my mom was ready to move in. There was a lot to accomplish and she worked with me and the rehab center very closely to make it happen in record time! The entire staff at Freedom Place are wonderful and they work hard to make all the residents feel comfortable. Kudos to [name removed], [name removed] and everyone at Freedom Place, Roseville!

This is a good place for your family members that can't take care of themselves to be to be cared for. They do have a lot of activities, however, my loved ones do not participate. The staff are very supportive and kind.

Our loved one has continued to rave about the meals and dining services, and even though she does not always participate in the activities they do have plenty going on and they still are always encouraging her to get involved. The value for cost is very reasonable and within range.

I cannot say enough fantastic things about the staff at American House. My grandmother lived there for 25 years. The office manager [name removed] is kind, caring, and compassionate. She looks out for the residents as if they were her own family. [name removed] in maintenance is also very helpful and supportive making sure to assist and fix things when needed in a timely manner. Housekeeping was always upbeat and super friendly. They greeted my grandma daily with a smile. Dietary knew my grandmas likes and dislikes and "hooked' her up with her favorites. The medical team also made our family relaxed knowing she was getting great care!

The staff have been very friendly and helpful at American House. They do seem to offer a lot activities for the residents and get them engaged. I have heard the meals are excellent, they have a chef who prepares them and they do get a choice from 2 different things. I think the value for the money is excellent based off of everything that they provide. Residents seem to be very helpful and there is a community feel. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

Good community, not the right fit.

I would give all of the ratings higher than a 5 if I could, we are very happy with our experience and all that the facility offers. We watched American House being built and we knew that it would be a beautiful new facility which is why we chose them. They go above and beyond to make sure people are healthy and happy. I would like to have a garden to go walk/roll through, so that would be a great addition. I would definitely recommend to others who are looking.

Our family had a virtual tour and it was great, the lady did a very good job taking us through the community. We were in the hospital so it was nice that we could stay with our loved one and also see the community at the same time. The lady we met with virtually was very helpful, had a good sense of the facility and she really showed support for our family.

The staff members at American House are doing everything they can to make our loved one comfortable, but we are having some issues. Our loved one is not well enough to be on the assisted living side, but not serious enough to be on the memory care side so she is in that between stage. We haven't been 100% satisfied, but the staff are really putting in a lot of effort which is appreciated.
