American House

Living here has been a wonderful experience There have been many improvements in every area. The various directors are always accommodating and are willing to listen. There are many activities appealing to variety interest of the residents. I feel safe and secure here. The food is great and nutritious.

During out recent hurricanes the staff and management went there to insure our safety and comfort.

I love living at American House. My apartment is comfortable and well maintained. The entire building is spotless and I'm proud to have visitors. The residents are friendly and fun. We are a happy community.

In just a meeting of a few days, I have been leaving in assisted for 3 years just after it's opening. In this period of time I have come to realest there is no better place to be. The facility itself is beautiful and the staff amazing. I believe there is only one place to be. American House.

I came to American shortly after it opened 3 years ago. The building is well maintained and has kept residents safe through 3 major hurricane. There are a variety of apartments available from small studio to 2 bedroom, 2 bath units. A variety of activities are offered but there is no pressure to participate. Lunched transportation in provided to shopping and doctor appointments. The staff is warm and friendly. The food is average. These is limited choice for deliver. Breakfast is a highlight lunch is not provided out which have fill working capacities.

It is pricey, but for the area we are in, it is a good value. Everyone is very nice. There are some meals she doesn't like. They do have meetings about the meals and listen to the residents. They have many activities for residents.

We knew we were going to have to move I could no longer able to cook every night and take care of our house. We were one of the first residents to move in. We've been very happy since day one. People staff and administrators have been wonderful don't think my husband or I would be doing as well if we were living in any other facility.

The meals get a 5+. The staff are employees and retention is high. RN's present in the building. Chef prepared meals. Dining options on floor as well as formal dining room and bistro. Great for friends to be able to "come for lunch or dinner" and feel like it's a restaurant. Security check in. Locked doors after 8:00pm

The facility is one of the cleanest I’ve been to. The care is amazing. I constantly get updates whenever something is needed for my grandfather. It’s a lovely facility. There’s lots of activities. Security is great.

Moved to American House to be close to family. All employees have been so welcoming and helpful. Amenities - transportation, medical and therapy services, delicious meals, many activities, etc are all excellent. A great location to spend life as one ages!

The American House is a beautiful facility. It is nicely appointed and kept very clean. The director is a hands on manager who maintains a fabulous staff. Those who work here are friendly, kind, sincere and dependable. We have many activities to participate in and the staff is open to suggestions.

I have been living at American House for nearly two years and I consider it one of the best decisions I've ever made. My apartment is a good size, kept in very good condition with weekly cleaners, balcony for outside sitting. The staff is caring and friendly. There are many activities for residents, transportation is available meals twice a day very good. I am totally satisfied.

Lovely clean facility. Staff is wonderful and also goes beyond to make sure we are pleased. Many choices of activities during the day. Meals are good and we have other choices to if we don't want what is on the menu we have a café also at lunch time.

You can go to experience everyday or not attend it is your decision. Most people are friendly and helpful.

my grandmother lives here at American House. I am pleased to say her stay here has been amazing we are really enjoying all the family activites they have for us. Now we can enjoy our time with my gandma. The office is very informative.

American House is so amazing. they are clean and small good not like urine or BM they care for their residents. The activ ities they have keep us enagage and indpenedent. The food is okay but the staff does their best to make it nice for all us residents.

Finding just the right place for my husband was of great importance. We looked at several places but American House was the best fit for him. It was the furthest from us, but it was the friendliest and worked with us. He felt comfortable there When he had to go to the hospital, he was relieved to get back. You could see him relax as he got inside. All the staff knew him and they took very good care of him. He liked the other residents and could relate to some of them. Eventually Alzheimer’s robbed him of the ability to interact but he was well taken care of. I highly recommend American House.

The only direct experience that I have had was an incident when my wife had fallen. As I stepped into the hall and medical person happened by and I got immediate, professional assistance that solved my problem. She called for help and within 1 minute they had her on her feet. It would have taken me ten minutes with a much higher likelihood of injury to my wife. That was a 5. The other incidents involve others and I thought that the staff could have shown a little more compassion. Meals/Dining - 5 for me because I understand that food has to be provided for a variety of tastes and cannot be tailored to my individual tastes. Others do feel that they are entitled to more. Activities- 5 for presentation and appropriate for the residents. It would a 3 for me. Sorry but I have never appreciated Elvis and am not likely to change that. The staff do a terrific job. Value for cost - 5 without question for me. Not sure where my wife would put it. She has dementia issues that (in my view) cloud her judgment.

My mother moved in a few months ago and already has made a ton of friends. She loves the food. One activities the staff take such great care of her and they communicate with me I'm Important as well. Which is such a for when I'm not.
