American House

This American House has outstanding capable director was chef and concierge the help are nice and do a good job. I feel that [fee removed] for the 2nd person is too high per month for our type of community. The food is good too.

I like everything about Bonita Springs American House!! All the staff is great, and that wait staff, I great too

I was in a jam with my brother. His insurance cut his rehab at a facility and were sending him home to me. My home was not safe and my husband and I are not capable of lifting him or helping him to the bathroom or in and out of the shower. I saw a place for mom commercial and called the number. We were put in this same situation when he got Covid, so for a second time I called a place for mom again. Both times my brother was taken care of which relieved a lot of pressure off all if us.

The staff at American House have been very helpful in getting my mother in law settled and into a new routine. The facility is clean and nicely decorated. They have lots of activities and outings for my mother in law. My favorite is the family night event they have once a month where families can come eat dinner and they have entertainment after.

We are happy with the care that is given. The staff seems to keep in touch with the residents and keeps current on their needs. We appreciate the physical and speech therapy. The family nights are appreciated. It is comforting to know that your life bed one is being looked after. The staff is so friendly and helpful.

My mother moved into American House about a month ago. She loves her beautiful apartment and the food. The staff and is friendly and helpful. There are activities every day. She doesn’t drive so having the hairdresser right there is helpful. She really likes that she gets a ride to church every Sunday. As with any move especially at age 97 it takes some time to feel comfortable but my siblings and I are very happy with her choice.

My Dad stayed here while he was doing intense PT/OT after having a stroke and after leaving inpatient at Siskin. All the folks at this facility are lovely, accomodating, and calm. My father particularly enjoyed working with onsite OT/PT staff. Special shout out to [name removed] and [name removed] for making the transition from Siskin as smooth as possible. We appreciate you!

This is not the Ritz. It's a solid place for people to live who need various levels of assistance ranging from preparation of meals to more detailed attention. The rooms are pleasant and well maintained and the staff is courteous, attentive and friendly. There are activities for residents to join or attend including music, movies and religious. It's a good value.

My dad‘s only been in Wildwood for two months, but at this point, I’m pretty impressed with most aspects of the place. There’s so many activities for the residence to participate in. The staff is great cuz lots of them know all of the residents by name which is great so they feel special. Everybody I’ve dealt with has went out of their way to help my dad even with things that aren’t in their job description lol. The executive director helped my dad with a critical Tele visit with his doctor because he had no knowledge of how to accomplish that. One of the other Assistants has helped me several times get Dad to appts. These people really go out of their way to make things better and be helpful to the residents. I really appreciate all they’ve done. I think Americanhouse Wildwood is great place for my dad.

Everyone there has a positive attitude and are ALWAYS willing to help or answer any questions that you might have.[names removed] on weekends just to name a few. MOM is cared for,they give Mom chores,folding laundry and it makes Mom feel like she is helping....I see the hugs they give to the patients,and again I have no complaints.

American house has fives across-the-board. The care that is at American house with advisor care has 4 1/2 in the morning and early afternoon and 2 to 3 late afternoons. The staff is very friendly. They do a very nice job keeping the residence engaged with activities. The food is very timely. Served. The housekeeping staff is very friendly and does a nice job. Across-the-board on American housing is very nice.

My Aunt has been at American House Joy Road in Westland for 2 1/2 years. In my opinion we could NOT have found a better place for her to live. She loved it there and so did my sisters and I . I am so sad to say that we have had to move her out. She had a fall in early October and broke her hip. She has Dementia and was in rehab for almost a month. She was walking and taking care of herself before the fall. and now is in a Wheelchair. She did not make Great Progress while in rehab. Our overall experience at American House was Great. Everyone that worked there became our friends and were so kind to all of us. They looked out for my Aunt. They were all very sad that she had to move because they loved chatting all the time. The Cleanliness of the building was also Awesome. Always Clean an inviting. It is a Very nice place to live and visit. Friendliness of the staff was also amazing. As I said they all became like friends as well as the residents that live there. We will miss them all. My Aunts Quality of care was also good. She had her medication brought up by the Med team and their were a few issues but talked with them and worked the situation out. My Aunt was stubborn and would not go to the dining room so we paid to have her meals brought up to her room. The food that is prepared there was always VERY GOOD and it was nice you could select something else if you wanted to. Their activities and entertainment that came and played music were also fun to watch and listen to. They have many fun things to do but my Aunt liked being by herself unless my sisters and I would join her. They tried to get her to participate but she was not interested. The Cost and Value was Great also. While looking for a new place with her needing more care it is so much more costly and not as Pleasant as American House. Her Safety is very important to us and as much as we wanted to stay at American House with her needs we knew we had to move her. I would highly recommend The Joy Road Westland American House to anyone looking for a place for their Loved ones to reside. It is Bright Clean and Cheerful

Staff has been great to communicate with. Care for my aunt has been terrific! The facility is always very clean and inviting. Very pleased with the staff activities they provide.

I have limited vision and everyone is willing to help me. Very friendly and clean. There's nothing I don't like.

My husband and I moved in back in August and have really enjoyed living here. They take great care of us, the staff is very friendly and the sales director who helped us was great. The activities are great and they offer transportation too! The community has a ton of amenities and happy hours with live music on Wednesdays and Fridays. We love American House Coconut Point.

Absolutely recommend! It's very well run and everyone is friendly. If I had to move to a retail location I would definitely choose The Palms.
