Our first impression of Atria Sarasota was good, the place looked really nice, the rooms were also nice. and everyone was very friendly. Initially the food was great, but as time moved on our loved ones found some things they didn't really care for, but overall they are satisfied with it. We would recommend this community

A person would need to be fairly active. If the individual would need any care then this community wouldn't be the place for that individual. Elmcroft will take care of dispensing scheduled medicine during the day. If the individual would need any type of overnight care, they really don't have any assistance for the individual.

I do understand everything changed with COVID but communication is poor. Even after they say they will do something and have capabilities of doing so... they just don’t do it.

I feel my mom was safe there, it was clean and people genuinely cared about her. My mom did not like the food. The room sizes and layout of the community were great. They did offer outdoor space but did not look like it was used often.

I am not able to visit due to the Virus. I see my dad on Facetime once a week, he looks very thin. He has fallen. It is hard to know what is going on. It seems they are very short-staffed. I am frustrated.

The food is really horrible, there have been four chefs since June. They staff is very kind, The residents are friendly. They have lovely apartments. They have lots of outdoor space for residents to use.

Assisted help is limited and seems short handed on weekends. Disappointed but will adjust as this is our only option at this time.

Nice and clean, friendly staff but did not have AC in rooms and had very small refrigerator low to the ground (not easy for older folks) and not much storage space in studio room.

The facility is nice but needs upgrading. Keaton, our tour guide was excellent. Knowledgeable and forthright.

Need more help!

My Dad only stayed a few days there as he needs constant care and he’s now in Memory Care at Elmcroft. For what we saw it was a good place but too quick to rate.

We found Beach House to be very clean and the environment to be very inviting. The family found the administrative staff to be very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, my father (who was a resident) found the CNAs and nursing staff to be less than satisfactory from a support and timeliness perspective.

Built less than a year ago. Apartments are a bit smaller than others we have seen. Staff seems to still be learning rules and procedures. Several questions were answered with “I don’t think so” or could not be answered because they had to check with their lawyer first, whereas other places answered “of course” right away. Being new, the grounds are minimally landscaped so they felt sparse and hot.

Very small. Facility not very well maintained. Apartments not updated, and VERY small!!

Was a little small.... not storage...… out of Budget but due able…….

Loved the people. So friendly. Lots of services. A little outdated. Didn’t seem like the right fit.

Facility was basic Independent living. Looks like a hotel from the outside. Apartments were nice. Carpet in main hallways especially on the first floor had signs of spills. Needs to be cleaned or replaced.

Location close to current home. Friendly staff. Attractive grounds and two pools. Rooms ok. Clean. Covered parking. Affordable . But, all the public areas are spread between two buildings and several floors in each. Buildings not connected and no overhead protection from sun and rain on walkways.

My Mom is presently living at Elmcroft in West Knoxville. She has lost 40 pounds because the food is so bad. The aids are also the kitchen staff and they don’t know what they are doing. I have eaten there twice and after went to Chick-fil-A. They have lost a lot of my Mom’s laundry so I do her laundry every week. After one of her falls when Mom pushed her alert she sat and sat. Then she crawled to her phone and called me and I called the desk. Only then did she get help. She will continue to live there and hopefully whoever reads this review will make changes. Prove it Elmcroft.

We went on a tour here and they were nice and helpful and they answered all of my questions. I was not impressed with the food here. There were not many options and it was to heavy. The rooms were on the smaller side.
