I really like Eden Estates, the people were very friendly and the apartment was nice. The kitchen was smaller than I want.

Locally owned and operated. That might not be so great. And they do a "daily wellness check". Did not mention medication monitoring.

Will visit later, when/if Mom embraces the idea of a change in lifestyle suitable for her age

Overall impression was positive. 24 beds in mental health unit. Open door policy. Not brand new but in good condition. Staff seemed friendly and residents looked clean and well cared for. Has sister community in NOLA so could send someone to mom's house for the evaluation. Mom could spend a week-end there to try it out. Bed is provided - all other furniture is our doing. Staff are CNA and / or trained by Rosemont. Continuting education year round for treatment of Alzheimers patients. RN on staff. Two services where the doctor's make house calls or Rosemont will bring mom to her appt. Many planned activities daily to stimulate the mind.

I was not at all impressed by NewForest Estates. There are separate buildings so if residents need to get to the dining room, activity room, etc. they have to travel outside. They have to keep the doors open because so many people travel with walkers or wheelchairs which we felt was unsafe. The community also just looked very poor and depressing, but the price was high. I would not recommend this community unless you are on a fixed income.

The food was phenomenal when my loved one first moved in. The food now is horrible for example the food for dinner is a hot dog, and broccoli and again they call this dinner. There is no flavor to the food. All the residents are gaining weight due to all the carbs being served to them. Half the time my loved one just throws it away. The community is stating they have to follow CDC guidelines. However; how do we know where the staff is going, and why don't they have to follow these guidelines. This is just awful for my family and loved one. They have recently raised the rent. If I was able to care for my loved one, I would pull them out of this community. I brought it up to the administration over my concerns over the food. She told me, that she has never had any complaints about the food. I know that is a bold face lie.

Everyone is very friendly here and helpful. They do not have many activities. The food however is very poor. They do not have a good variety of food and it is always over cooked and the portions are very small. There is no way we can cook in our rooms so we have found we are eating a lot of junk food to get full.

Nothing was wrong with the community when I toured. I felt they were not a good fit based on what I was told. It seemed like the woman who showed me around was not that knowledgeable when I was asking her my questions.

The Administrative staff has been outstanding. The maintenance and kitchen staff has been dreadful. Hot water was out for over a month!

I used to love this place. But most all the key people have left for other jobs. The new ones are not like they were. They used to make us residents feel important and needed. Now we're just treated like a number of bucks we pay for the crappy food and occasionally cleaning lady, that thinks she's in charge in my apartment.

The people have been great. The food has been bad. There are little to no organized activities. Basically Bingo and that's it. The hot water hasn't worked in weeks. There are roomer going around that the place is going bankrupt.

I recently toured The Lodge at Pine Creek, and while the building looks beautiful and well-kept from the outside, the inside felt very sterile and unwelcoming. There wasn’t much warmth or interaction between staff and residents during my visit. I also noticed there weren’t many staff members around, which concerned me. When I asked about it, I was told they were “probably providing care,” but it still left me uneasy. First impressions matter, and I didn’t get the feeling that there’s enough staff presence or engagement to make it feel like home.

There is high turnover in management. The dining experience left something to be desired. Changing in chefs left the food to be undesirable. Maintenance is nonexistent housekeeping is nonexistent, laundry service is terrible. The only activity that people participate in is bingo. It’s a new building, but only half of it is full of residence. Basically it’s half empty.

My loved one is no longer here. They claim to work with dementia, but don't know how to redirect them or engage them. Didn't follow medications correctly or check resident's hygiene. But they sure kept the big community fee. Moved out after 3 months!

I've lived here for eight months. When I first moved here the dining experience was good. But now I'm spending one hundred fifty dollars a month on groceries. Transportation is ok but in my opinion limited. Housekeeping is performed every two weeks instead of weekly as stated on Emerson's website. Maintenance is ok but there are washing machines in the laundry room that have been out of order for two months and dryers for six months. If I'm around in this coming February I'll be moving.

The overall experience, cleanliness, quality of care, and the meals and dining was poor. The overall value for cost was fine. The memory care manager got fired during my mother's stay. I think the rest of the community is good She was in memory care and they were lacking at the time

The owners are straggling to keep it open and the residents suffer because of it. I think that this summarize the problem there. The staff are so sweet and try to help but because of management. Their chore is difficult

They have taken away most of the things we did have. Housecleaning is now every 2 weeks and all they do is change the bed and sweep the and throw something in the toilet. The meals most of the time are terrible. They took our dinner meal away from us and breakfast is cereal and eggs that are almost inedible. The halls smell. They say we will start having dinner back one day at a time buffet style. The front desk is embarrassing. The people are very friendly but are not professionals dressed.

No gym as advertised. The only transportation they provide is the doctor appointment and back. Not as advertised at all. I feel later way overpriced for what you get over $[removed] a month is ludicrous definitely come to this place before you consider it
