Food could have been better.For the value it is a very good place. It was built as a hotel so it is open inside so the hallways are nice and bright. They have lots of activities going on. They staff is good.

I was very pleased with [name removed] and had selected them as a place for my wife. However, when they realized she had an unhealed wound from surgery, they refused to take her (it's from about a two-inch incision to apply screws in her broken hip. She's able to stand, if not walk well).

[Name removed] was super helpful and insightful. I am very glad I toured Broadmoor and I think it is an excellent value. It is not a good fit for my mother at this time, but if her dementia rapidly escalates, it probably won’t be long until it is exactly what she will require. She would be safe here.

Bright and sunny. Residents more somnolent. Good location. Not as many activities.

Liked the fact that they had wine with there dinners and a heated pool.

Great staff and facilities. Would like to see more activities for dementia residents.

Our Mother moved into Mackenzie Place in December 2018. She immediately felt at home and welcomed by everyone. She still loves it and her only complaint is that the menu items do not change. She was happy in the beginning but says she is tired of the same old thing. She loves when we visit and take her out to eat. We live out of state and have been so pleased and we don't have to worry about her care anymore.

Nice property and good offer great amenities . But door to apartment was on the outside and you would have to go through weather to get inside to dining room.

Of the two facilities we have visited,this is the preferred location. Nicely updated apartments, nice size, and very accommodating. Feel this would be best choice for my MIL. Will definitely revisit when time comes for placement. We feel she could adjust to this location easier than [removed].

Very attractive apartments. The dining area wasn't complete yet so don't have a comment there. Definitely on the high end for price.

Nice visit in a comprehensive, yet slightly smaller facility. Different fee structure than the other places I have seen with some independent options that don't automatically include everything. Three different meal plans and a full slate of support options for residents. Private patios on most units. I didn't see a single male resident though.

Price is just right however, the neighborhood is questionable and security around the community is only a fence. Even though there is someone at the desk 24/7, I still question security. However, this is a strong contender.

My mom and i chose this property. The residence and staff were.very nice to my Mom during tour. She liked the space. [name removed] .is awesome.Answered all questions caring and professtionally.

Nice facility friendly staff

apartments are large + roomy with all amenities. Bus takes wheelchairs/scooters as well as roolators. Laundry on every floor are excellent. Many nice people+ many activities for all ages.

Everyone here is really friendly and the facility is always clean. My wife and I really like it here and it’s very warm and inviting. However, the food is not so great. I think the mixture of food is odd. They serve spaghetti with meat sauce and green beans together. Also, some of the portions are on the smaller side. I would recommend this facility to other families.

I toured New Forest Estates, and I really liked the community. I was quite impressed, and I thought my loved one would really enjoy it there. However, New Forest was farther away from me than some other communities we had seen.

This facility is very nice and well maintained. All of the staff members are really nice and friendly. The reason why I didn’t pick this community for my Father is that they do not have a memory care unit for him. They have a nice courtyard for all of the residents and had a good atmosphere. The administrator who gave me my tour was very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I would recommend this facility.

I toured here when looking for a place for my dad and from what I saw it was fine. The location didn’t really work for us - it is on a very busy street, no parks or nature nearby and although most rooms had balconies the views weren't great. the balcony was also a safety concern for our family. The staff there are very nice, they offer a lot of great activities, but the apartments small and a little outdated. I was there during a cook out and the other residents seemed to be very happy. The price is on the lower end, but overall the community wasn’t a good fit for what we were needing at the time.

Brookdale has been a great experience for my mother so far. The staff is very attentive to their clientele, which is a big positive for me. The sales staff and the director made sure that all our questions were answered upfront so we could all be on the same page. There was a noise issue between my mother and her neighbor, but the staff remedied the situation very quickly. My mother is also very happy with the food there. I've seem the menus, and they seem very well balanced. She's also enjoying the activities and games there. Overall, it's been pleasant at Brookdale, and I would recommend the community to others.
