The community was very dark, the furniture and the community just looked older. It needs to be updated.

This is a nice place. When our loved one was first there, I went and did a virtual tour. There wasn't a lot to see on the virtual tour. The staff communication is good. They call with any concerns they have with my loved one. This community is a close location for me. The initial communication from the administrative team didn't hold up their promises. I feel lied to, and disappointed.

The only issue I had was with the medication. Their pharmacy services were more expensive than it should be. Communication between the staff and the family was average we did updates but not as often as we would like. I would recommend this community to others

My mom was here for a week. They switched her medicine that would take time to build up in her system and she was off the medicine that were working in her system. They did not give her time to adjust to her new medicine. They sent her to a geriatric psych ward for over a month and then when it was time to send her back they would not take her. They then charged me the full amount for the whole time she was gone. I would tell others to make sure that your loved ones are on medicine and do not have behavioral issues because they will not put up with it.

Large apartments, nice layout but small fridge. Convenient location. Building was older and a little darker and lower ceilings which was not as inviting. Staff seemed friendly. Liked that he could order food when he wanted. Liked the activities director — thought she could engage my father-in-law. Good price. Didn’t see many residents and most seemed a lot older and more infirm than my father in law.

My husband was in memory care, so the food was not as good as the assisted living side. The rooms in memory care were not the best and he has a shared shower. Make sure you understand the level of dementia and what variety of care they are able to provide.

Hertiage Oaks is a nice place to live. There have been some issues along the way we had with my loved one and this community. I now only go to the Director of the community to get resolution for any of our problems I'm not sure if I would recommend anyone to go here.

Deane Hill Place has had high staff turnover and quality of food during the pandemic has gone downhill. We have been pleased other than what was stated before. I believe most of this is because of COVID.

We chose The Gables of Brighton because of the value for the money. The room sizes here are very good sized, very spacious. The best part about the community so far has been that they do a lot of outings with the residents. I would recommend the community to more dependent individuals.

Our experience with this community at first was not good, it was not appropriate for our loved ones mobility levels or her needs. We were only there for about three or four days and during that time the community was kept clean. The food was good, good portions sizes. It very nice kind of like restaurant style. The common areas were nice, the rooms themselves were nice enough. However the hallways were very long and dark, it had a very small elevator that could only fit one or two people at time which was not convenient at all

We chose this community because of recommendations from A Place for Mom. There were several times my mothers bathroom was filthy. My mom needed memory care more than assisted living and they did not want to accommodate. There was no staff around and I had to stay 3 nights due to her wandering. I liked this facility in the beginning, but towards the end it got worse and worse.

I feel Brookdale is a well maintained place. The price is in line with the 6 other places I looked at. They have a lot of activities and nice common areas to do activities and bring in different types of activities. I had a hard time reaching the staff. The Concierge takes all the calls and beyond leaving a message there is no way to reach anyone directly. There is only someone at the front desk till 8 pm. and any calls after that are suppose to go to the duty nurse. I have never gotten to speak with a duty nurse no matter when I called. I did go over to the community once at night to see my mom and I was buzzed in but did not know who buzzed me in which left me with security questions.

The facility is great but the monthly rate is high and the community fee is extremely high for the area

Cleanliness is not a high priority. Understaffed.

The facility was smaller and cozier than some of the others. Dad probably would have been comfortable here, but there was no memory care, which I expected to be required in the future. The person who gave the tour seemed more interested in getting a bed filled, than in making sure the person in that bed was in the right facility.

I visited there today as an option for my dad. First floor, very musty smelling. Second floor, uneven flooring. Didn’t feel like it was a safe place for dad.

[name removed] was very nice and informative. This facility just would not be the right place for our mom. Not very clean from what we could see and the rooms were very small and must had to be shared. We would prefer a studio or one bedroom area.

My mom has been there a few months now and isn't loving it. Food is very good. People are very nice but the activities are not what was promised and mom is bored alot of the time. They go to the same two stores every week. [location removed] and [location removed]. Mix it up a bit for Gods sake. The garden club they talked about is a tiny box of plants. People just sitting around for lack of anything to do. Not much entertainment is brought in or taken to. Expected more for this amount of money. Going to start checking out other places
