I haven't seen any issues other than the wifi doesn't reach to her room they are trying to result. Everybody has been very helpful to my mom and the meals are good.

Cost of $1800 for a respite 10 days was high. If they said for $2000 she can stay a month would have been a better promotion. Told about the $2000 month cost after we left. Based off of the $1800 per week, the monthly cost would have been $7200.

You need to work very closely with the staff to get the routine for the senior and staff to mesh. It wasn’t made clear to us as to what we needed to provide for my father in total. I didn’t see a list, but there might have been one. It’s been changed to a dining room experience. Sometimes the food isn’t hot. Sometimes they run out of parts of the dinner.

It had a bunch of different buildings. Mother would have to go next door to another building to get her physical therapy and we thought she wouldn't like having to leave the building for that. All the food was in another building too. It was a perfectly nice place but we know she would much prefer everything under one roof.

Outstanding in every way for an independent Senior. I would give it 5 stars, except for the category of Care Services, which are kind of just "ok," and I found I needed to supplement them with non-Gables services. The grounds, rooms, and dining room are beautiful and elegant, and the staff is the friendliest I have ever encountered. And we got a terrific value on a room with a less-than-optimal view, which didn't matter to my relative that doesn't like to look outside.

I/we are disappointed that they welcomed my mother and her checks then 7 weeks later tell us that she needs more care than they provide! Now we have to go through all this again for more money Besides that, the place is great and mom loves it there. She is very hurt that she has to move Again

Staff is very friendly. Facility is always clean. Food is a concern...portions are for a toddler, some nights they run out. Food has been so over cooked and dry. My mom is there and my family went to eat with her and it was not good. Everyone is complaining. It use to be good...

The grounds are nice looking and there's a homey feeling in central foyer area. Potential improvements are many. Some of the rooms are extremely outdated and need of remodeling. There are hallways that have unpleasant odors. The aides are stretched therefore care is not consistent. The food is mostly low quality and usually not at proper temperature. Residents are typically without utensils and are waiting. Small plastic cups with fruit punch/lemonade given at meals. These frequently are spilled due to being lightweight. Chairs in dining room too heavy to move. I'm sorry for all this negativity but there is so much to say. I believe they try to provide what residents need but changes are out of reach for workers. Again, I believe workers are doing the best they can with what they face.

The staff was fantastic before she got there but then it kinda died off once she was living there. They told us they were ordering her a ramp before she arrived and it's been over a month and it's supposedly had to be ordered again. So I stopped asking. The other day we brought her to the doctors and she came back right at the end of dinner and I heard the kitchen staff yelling at her that she had already eaten and if I hadn't intervened they wouldn't have fed her. It's clean, she gets her needs met for the most part, but she is a memory care patient and I literally had to call and ask them to bring her down to the activities because she doesn't remember to go on her own. The food is good; fresh and hot. She never complains about that. The size is like a large room with a kitchenette.

It is kind of an unfair number but I wanted to stay in the middle since I had not had an opportunity to get with staff, DON to discuss a care plan for mom...that part is on me bc right now I live out of town. I do know that activities are limited to bingo, puzzles and movie nights that air movies are on regular tv (says my mom). There also has not been any outings or field trips, wonder how we can get that going. My mother complained about the food and being served same thing over and over but I did get that straightened away and learned that she is just ordering the same thing as opposed to trying the various options available. Mom is a chronic complainer so it makes it difficult to grade based on her perception but I did have to give it some consideration. On the upside the place is beautiful, always clean and welcoming! I love her spacious apartment. It feels safe and secure.

To be perfectly honest this community is not as good as the one my Mom was in that closed down. Unfortunately, it was the only one that was the same price as her previous residence. As a result the differences are much more noticeable.

The staff was exceptional with the Director being useless. They changed the menu eliminating breakfast which was now continental and just carbs plus paper and plastic utensils. There was no dinner Sunday nights and they frequently ran out of specialty entrees. The apartments were in fair condition. Kitchen cupboards and vanity were in poor condition with missing hardware and dents and scratches. They took [amount removed] out of my checking account and wouldn't give it back. They said I could use it for future rent. Residents friendly and staff mostly helpful.

It has deteriorated under current owners and management. Numerous services have been discontinued and nothing added. They increased the annual cost by 8.5 per cent this year so I would not recommend it on that basis alone.

Overall experience - The staff was kind and caring. The facility was dated but clean. Food was average. Room was decent size. Very reasonable price. It is a functional, low cost assisted living facility, but not something one would get excited about.

The front staff when you first walk in were pleasant. Overall the place is clean. Cafeteria people were wonderful and food choices were good. However, the staff that was supposed to assist my father did not do a very good job I would say very poor. I would go there and he would not be able to get out of bed and he would be full of urine the bed soaked and when I mentioned it to the staff they said they checked on him just a few minutes prior which I knew was a lie because half of the urine was dry. The staff had him on for one day a week showers which sometimes happened and sometimes did not. I would get the excuse the staff was short that day which is understandable being Healthcare and I was a nurse for many many years but then they wouldn't do him the following day unless I said something. Girl that did the overall housekeeping once a week was a sweetheart. The maintenance man took items out of my dad's room without calling me. So I hope I've answered some of your questions. Oh and one more thing sometimes they would put his meds in front of them and not watch him take them and I would go there and there would be a couple days worth of pills spread all over the place on the floor, and in his chair.

Overall i am pleased with the treatment my mom is getting. She has made friends and seems very happy. My complaints are that maintenance is very slow to respond to requests. Mom has been there a little over three years and we have never had a care plan meeting with the nursing staff. We have never discussed any of her care needs. The food is not that good and I eat with Mom once a week so I know.

The staff overall seem pretty pleasant, my mother would say they are understaffed, especially in the dining area. My mother is dissatisfied with the menu choices and quality of the food served, saying they do not cater to the diets of elderly people, items being too spicy and salty or challenging to eat. The place in general could use updating, some fresh paint has been done, but carpet in hallways and furnishings in gathering areas are a bit worn and tired. There is a slight unpleasant odor in the hallways where residents rooms are. I would say my mother is not very happy living there but she says her next move will be a nursing home, so she is resigned to staying there until the time comes to move due to needing more care. They did give her 3 free months as a move in bonus which was very nice as she does have a limited monthly income, but overall I think the amount of money that she pays monthly to live there is not reflected in the quality of the residence. The first 2 months she dealt with house centipedes every time she went in her bathroom. She has requested that the outside of her window be cleaned, and that still has not been done. I would say that it is a middle of the road facility, there are probably newer nicer ones, and I'm sure that there are some that are below par. Given the short span of time that I had to place her due to her illness, I felt that it would be a pretty reasonable fit, but had I been able to take more time to choose I think I could have found somewhere better for her.

Not warm and fuzzy. She has needed her flooring fixed since she moved in and all they did was put duct tape down.

The facility is on a beautiful campus. Inside is very clean without odor. Nicely decorated. The dining area is clean and well maintained. The food has a great presentation. The individual studio room is very spacious. The bathroom is large enough for wheelchair and walker use. The walk in shower is large enough for a shower chair. Shelves in the bathroom to store personal items. The staff is very friendly, helpful, caring, and attentive to the clients' needs and family needs. This place could be phenomenal with a better management/leadership team.
