We heard that some people were having problems with bugs. The ripped out the rugs and put in something that was a non-rugThe staff was very friendly for the most part. The doctor was no help, he wouldn't do anything. Sometimes I took her to out-patient. There were a lot of people that my family member really enjoyed and cared for. Some of the girls would tell her she was out of her medicine and not give it to her and then it would show up later that there was some left. They would ring the bells for the nurses and it would take forever for them to get there. I don't think they had enough staff. There was always something going on for activities. They always had notices and trips and things going on. She did not care for the food at all, she was used to her home cooking, she would say it was bland. A lot of it is communication, whenever I would talk to the director I worked with, she would say I didn't hear that or I didn't know about that. I would go to the head nurse and complain about her medicine or put in a work order and the director didn't know about it. I picked it based on my location. They only had an hour window for meal times.

It was kind of dirty and smelly so my dad and I were both pretty turned off by that. It was more expensive and a lot of the rooms didn't have a full bath, just a powder room and you had to go down the hall to take a shower. I though for the cost you should at least have a shower in your room. This might be a good thing for some people but at Atria we saw a lot of people coming out with their dogs and cats. My brother is allergic to cats so if my mother went there he wouldn't be able to visit her. Again, that could be a good thing for some people. It was just dingy and smelly, especially after seeing one that was so clean and bright.

There is always a revolving door of staff. Very upset over the poor quality of food served. My parent is there and they have been through numerous help/cooks within a short period of time. Very poor housekeeping there. Pay a very high rate for loved one to be there and stuff that should be included they don't even do, so please don't be fooled from their brochure. They do not provide snacks, and the housekeeping is very close to null. But on a plus side, the activities director is great. But the management is left to be desired. Very poor management.

My father has been in this facality for two years. I continue to struggle with the break down in communication in this facility on a daily basis. This facility continues month after month to be under staffed in their key departments. ie. nursing. Please look at all your options before selecting this facility for your parent or loved one.

My father-in-law was there for a two-week respite. He was supposed to have a shared room and the day we arrived, his potential roommate was very aggressive in threatening my father-in-law. I was ready to turn around and leave but staff seemed very responsive at that point and made arrangements for another room. It seemed promising that staff was able to quickly resolve a potentially serious problem. However, the actual personal care with grooming appeared non-existent. After 2 days there, I let staff know that he had not changed his socks or underwear yet. After 5 days, I told them again. After 10 days, he still had not used a second pair of socks or underwear. He needs very direct guidance and staff was told this on admission. After day 10, I notified the management team and they tried to tell me that my father-in-law was taking his dirty laundry out of the laundry basket and putting it away. He has never done this in his life so I don't know why he would suddenly start doing this. However, even if he did, they have an obligation to make sure that his clothing is clean. Each day we visited, his facial hair was longer than 5 o'clock shadow. When he is at our house, he is very conscientious about shaving every morning. Staff stated that he could not keep his electric razor in his room but that they would make sure he got it for morning care. Each time we visited, I got the razor from the staff and my husband helped him shave. I am an RN and have worked with memory care residents and this was not acceptable. My concern is that if staff is neglecting things that should be very obvious - clean clothes, not shaved - what might they be doing with regard to those things that are not as obvious?

Started out as a perfect fit! Staff has been reduced! Aides and servers are doing double duty because all staff has been reduced!! Can't keep track of meds anymore and are asking residents to call Family to bring meds! Beds are not being made! Food is terrible! Residents are afraid of complaining because it might make it worse! My Relative wants to "run away" we are looking at other facilities ASAP!

As a neighbor, I have concerns for the safety of residents at Hampshire Home. Residents have escaped the facility and shown up at our house which is a hundred yards through the woods next to a steep gorge. Anytime we have gone to the facility to discuss with them, there is no one around. You can walk into the facility without getting acknowledged and walk around at your leisure. We have had to seek out staff in order to talk to someone. They no longer have a sign near the roadway, so medical services and visitors show up at the wrong location. Unfortunately the home is owned by a company that has at least 23 other facilities so this one may not be a priority.

The Assisted Living section might be ok, I don't know but the Memory Care is Awful! They have hardly any staff which makes them keep anyone who at least shows up to work. The woman on the day shift was the worst! Rough and non caring. I pulled my mom out of there after the first week! Do not leave your loved one in this place!

Room change with out notification plus [removed] +more a month, food very little. And cold no water on table ask for two hamburgers did not get dinner. For enhanced living staff did not engage with family member. I was there most days and only once did staff enter to empty garbage. Not shown where snacks were, advertised many activities, and three chefs. They did not have a microwave to heat food or get hot beverages. Shown table set up like restaurant and brought up 3 chefs. Family member left without permission. Ended in hospital. Place would not take family member back. A lot of info not presented to me. They just present themselves this would be good place. "A good place for mom" I myself have no desire to ever go into a place when needed.

They're going through a transition with a new administrator who gave a family night speech promising big things but it seems like there is trouble with department heads, there's a lot of drama between staff members and staff members try to pull in the family members. Unhappy staff for sure. Showers don't get done, medications don't get passed promptly if at all sometimes. 1 staff member to 27 residents at times. I hope it gets better or I will have to pull my mom out

Everything would be a 1. We have had nothing but trouble since the day my mother moved in. 2 showers a week was a dream, regular housekeeping is spotty at best. The menu is limited and many items are loaded with sodium. Things have improved somewhat but still far from what we were promised.

Cranberry Landing, a nice facility, relatively clean. We made the mistake of placing our mother there. Mom’s small room was nice & comfortable. Good natural light. The food is atrocious & not fit for seniors to eat. Everything is processed-hot dogs, chicken nuggets, pizza. The residents are elders not children. They need healthy balanced meals. The staff is mediocre. Besides a few aids that were pleasant & helpful, we found the staff to be lazy and impatient. One nurse was disinterested in anything mom said. She was impatient & intimidating. We were afraid to have her caring for our mother. Dining staff yelled at the residents to hurry up & eat so they could clean up. The staff did not accommodate residents that forget to order their meal. There is a lack of communication with the family. Everything communicated after the fact & abruptly. Not professionally managed. Look at other facilities before selecting this one. There are many better. We moved mom as soon as we could.

The Atria has gotten so bad that I had to move my mother from this facility . The cleanliness , food and care are horrible . Activities shown on calendar almost always canceled or when my mom showed up no one was there to do the class/activity. There is a resident across the hallway from my mom who smokes so much the hallway is so smelly from smoke they had to put a air purifier in the hall it was plugged into the wall and a tripping hazard.

My husband was assessed and accepted for the enhanced level of assistance by a social worker, not a nurse. Within two days of moving in, the overnight shift would not assist him with the Apex, telling him that they had bad backs, they didn't know how he got accepted for residence in the first place, it was ridiculous that they had to do this, he needed to do all of the work, they were not familiar with the Apex and he would have to tell them what they needed to do. When they did finally lift him, my husband repeatedly told them to put him in his wheelchair instead of the recliner in his room. They refused to do what he asked and put him in the recliner anyway, making it almost impossible to lift him again. The administration said their internal investigation determined that all the allegations were unsubstantiated, but they terminated an employee for saying some of the exact comments. Go figure.

This place is where we mistakenly placed my father in the Spring of 2023. They continuously left him without his 2 promised showers per week -letting him on numerous occasions go for 10 even 15 days without showers. The dining staff cannot wait to get out of there at night so if your loved one doesn't arrive at the opening hour (even though it is open for two hours) they will be given cold soup and a cold sandwich. The ladies here could not get his medication correct for anything and his blood thinners were not even re-ordered when they ran out. I guess they just hoped he wouldn't stroke out. Videos coming soon to YouTube of this horrendous nightmare. We contacted our state representative as well. If you Google them you will find horrendous reviews from former staff that also claim "[name removed]" and company are not good managers. Don't get me started on [name removed] the LPN in charge of the nursing. They lie through their teeth regarding his care.

My mom has lived in Manor Hills for a little over 1 year. Has a double room which she pays out of pocket. I have had to talk to too many people about getting her sheets changed, her bathroom cleaned and her main living area cleaned. The turnover of workers gives me an idea on why things don't get done. What's the reason for this? It must go back to the owner. I'm pretty sure there's not an RN in the building, not many LPN's. Just low paid aides. The food is the most unhealthy and awful food you could give them. Every week there's hot dogs at least twice. 1 day was grilled cheese with soup for dinner. Soup was crossed off. So, just grilled cheese. Pretty sure wasn't real cheese. Their hairdresser left months ago. Hasn't been replaced. Fingernails and toenails don't get touched. My mom is supposed to read the calendar to know when things are going on. She doesn't even remember there's a calendar there. The owner just wants the rooms filled. Not taken care of.

I moved my parents from PA to VA and into Heritage oaks. when they 1st moved in food was great and service was good. Now the food is unelidable as is cold or burnt. staff does not wait on in a fast manner. My mom refuses to go in as her food is cold and she has dementia and gets agitated that it takes so long and is so cold in the dining room. Rent went up last year and going up again. i understand cost of food has gone up but my parents are unable to eat the food in cafeteria and spending money on groceries so they have decent food to eat. I really don't want to move them as they like their apartment and their neighbors but i also want them to have good food to eat. i am here every Mon Wed and Friday so can attest to the food and i am like everyone's niece and they all complain to me about the food and service in Dining room.
