Travanse was a great first step into the world of Senior Assisted Living for folks with Memory Care needs.

My Dad lived at Travanse Senior Living for a very short time. We found the staff and surroundings to be way more than we could have ever hoped. We needed to move Dad to a different facility for financial reasons, as well as medical. But the folks who tried to make it work for Dad at Travanse went well above the normal and expected. We are grateful for the love and care given to him during his 7 day stay there. Besides being a beautiful place, the workers we encountered truly cared about Dad and our family as a whole. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to families looking for a good place for a loved one with memory care needs. I could not rate the activities highly because we really didn't have time to evaluate them. The calendar displayed looked like many options would have been available to Dad, but he wasn't able to take advantage because of his own issues.

They care about all of us

We’re the “Snow Birds.” My husband and I were living at the [removed]. My daughter and her husband found the Villa and introduced it to us. It was a tough decision and we talked about it… A lot! Finally, we all decided we should stay for six months, just to try it out. So we came up to the Villa stayed from October till April and then we’d head back to the Lake for the Summer. It was a great opportunity for us, and our family, to get an idea of what our lives would like at a Senior Living Community. My husband, who originally was not in favor of downsizing and leaving his home at the lake, surprised all of us. The first day we arrived the Sales Director, [name removed] greeted us at the car, pointed to a sign in the lobby with our names on it welcoming us both and proceeded to wheel my husband into the dining area. After we ate a wonderful lunch – my husband asked the server how much of a tip would she like, she thanked him and responded that “tipping” is not allowed. “All this great food, in such a nice place and NO TIPPING!” He turned to me and said, “Honey, I think I’m gonna like this place.” The grounds are meticulous with a nice park-like atmosphere and lots of flowers. The Executive Director [name removed] and his staff do a very good job at communicating with the residents about the goings on at the Villa. I particularly like having a Chapel – it does both Catholic and non-DE nominal services, which I think is a comfort to the residents who no longer have the ability to get to their place of worship. I also like the wide array of activities the Villa offers. [name removed] the Lifestyle360 director does such a good job at taking us to new and exciting places - and there is always something going on here. Naturally things happen, nothing is perfect, personnel and schedules change - most of the residents understand it. And It’s good to know ahead of time what’s really going on instead of hearing it through the grapevine. Overall, I have to say I am very pleased with our life here at the Villa and would encourage anyone who is looking to downsize to meet with [name removed] and [name removed], take a walk around the grounds, meet the other residents and see what your life can be like living amongst friends and people who care about you like family.

Wonderful Community

Atria South Setauket is a beautiful community. My mom just isn't ready for any assistance at this time. They took wonderful care of her while she was there. The staff members were very friendly and caring. The communication I had with the staff was great, they responded quickly to any questions or concerns I had about my mom's care. The place was very clean. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The meals were excellent. It was packed with activities that the staff encouraged the residents to engage in. My mom did participate in them and had a good time. They had a lot of choices for recreation, there was a pool, great areas for walking. They offer transportation to go shopping and other activities. There is a doctor on staff. She couldn't ask for more. She is just not ready at this time of her life, she wants to be home. In five years if she needs more care we will definitely go back to Atria South Setauket. It is a wonderful community.

Wonderful Staff!

Things are going really well for mom at the Atria Penfield. The staff is very kind and friendly. They go out of their way to know the residents and what their needs are and make them feel comfortable. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff and the residents are very welcoming. I have even made new friends there myself. The food is excellent. I have dined there with my mom and there is a good variety of healthy choices. And if you don't like what is on the main menu there are other options to choose from. You would never go away hungry. They also have a Bistro room that has cookies, coffee, sandwiches available throughout the day. enjoy the staff they learn what the resident s They offer a variety of activities for the residents. My mom really enjoys going to the in-house salon to get her hair done. I would highly recommend this community to others.

Moving Mom to Atria

My mother completed her first week at Atria and my initial impression is highly favorable. She was not in favor of leaving her house for an apartment at Atria and is not happy but each day she seems to feel a little better about her situation. I'm cautiously optimistic that she will fully adjust in the weeks ahead.

I would definitely recommend this community!

My mother was at CRG for a year and a half and I found it to be a very welcoming and comforting place for her. She even said on more than 1 occasion how much she liked it there. The staff was caring and communicative. If I had a concern, they would bend over backwards to work with mom to make her more comfortable. They had many activities that mom didn't take advantage of but she LOVED music and they had a lot of it! I have recommended this living community to many of my friends.

So happy to have found this place.

My Aunt has full blown Alzheimer's and was living in another facility that only cared about their money and left the patients to just sit around like complete zombies. It was so horrible to visit her there and we didn't think there were any other options because of my Aunt's condition. Then I had the pleasure of meeting [Removed] at Crimson Ridge. [Removed] and her staff were extremely helpful in transitioning my Aunt from a horrible nursing home to Crimson Ridge. They took the time to make all the necessary phone calls, required visits, interviews, and helped with all the paperwork that needed to be completed. We were able to get my Aunt in there within a few days. It's very clean, friendly, and there are a lot of activities going on everyday to keep my Aunt occupied. They even take the residents out on trips and keep their minds stimulated. It's awesome! My Aunt was never allowed to leave her own floor in the other place. [Removed] is always available whenever I need to talk to her and she even goes out of her way to text us pictures of our Aunt enjoying her new life at Crimson Ridge. [Removed] is a complete professional and an awesome, super friendly person as well. The whole staff is so friendly and helpful. I'm so grateful to have found this place so my Aunt can spend the remainder of her life with dignity.

As an Educational Director, for The Senior Service Resources Group, (A Non for Profit Dedicated to helping seniors, in their time of need) I visit "Senior Communities" on a regular basis. I have found The Villas at Riverwood, To be extremely Clean and free of odors. The staff, was not only pleasant to deal with, but acted as if they were genuinely glad to be there. (reasonably rare for this kind of environment. I found the residents to be clean, and well cared for. The "Common Areas" were free of clutter. The furniture was comfortable, yet functional, (solid arms, sturdy bases, reasonably firm seats.) Some of the seating, having no arms, suitable for sliding. Residents, appeared to be happy. There were many activities for individuals and groups alike. I would not hesitate to recommend this community to any member of my family.

Easy transfer from Florida to Pennsylvania

I was really nervous about bringing mom from Florida to Pennsylvania, about the paperwork involved and footwork. A PLACE FOR MOM was very helpful in determining which place and area was of interest to me. They went out of their way to help find what I was looking for and stuck with me until after mom was placed in her new home. Greenfield Senior Living in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania was just what I was hoping for in price and convenience. The transition was easier than I hoped for. Thank you [Removed] for your determination to assist me and mom.

Healthy food

My Mom has been living at Atria a little over six months now. Mom has kidney and heart disease. When she first arrived at Atria her kidneys were showing high phosphorus and potassium levels. Since dining at the Atria her levels are now normal for her age! Thank you Dave and the dining staff for the fantastic healthy food served. Even Mom's doctor stated "what are they feeding her, very good!" I recommend Atria to all who need assisted living, It's a fabulous place with terrific people working and living there. Also, clean, homey, and beautiful grounds. Thank you, Tina and staff for all of your loving care.

Please check out Brookdale....you won't regret it!

5/17/2016. My Mom was at Brookdale (formerly Sterling House) for just starting her 3rd yr in Feb. My sister and I were very happy overall. They just recently got a new Manager who is wonderful!! There were some issues and she has addressed them and I strongly recommend you check them out now!! The nurses and staff are wonderful . They play bingo every day, do crafts go to the casino go out to lunch sometimes and just keep them busy! They also have different people come in and entertain, do karaoke. Holiday parties..really alot of fun things! My Mom Really enjoyed herself and she was NOT a bingo kind of lady but she played every day. She passed away Friday the 13th of all days but they couldn't have been kinder through the whole ordeal. We wil always be grateful for thie kindness, compassion and love they gave us! It is small, homey and I am so hapoy we found them and it was the most reasonable place also! Good Luck to you!

Very nice place, affordable price

Our experience with Greenfield of Perkiomen Valley has been a very good one, so far! The staff here is friendly and professional, and they're very knowledgeable and comforting to both the residents and their families! The facility itself is well kept and clean, and they do a great job looking after the residents! My only complaint would be that I think they can do a bit better when it comes to activities, but for what they charge the service here is excellent overall!
