Everyone was very nice and helpful. My Uncle is adjusting to his new apartment. Happy he is there with 24/7 help if needed.

My cousin is now living in the independent living facility at Atria in South Setauket. The interface care and support has been outstanding. As expected the Covid pandemic has made things difficult but they’re doing a great job in dealing with it.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The place is clean and decorated beautifully. My mother says the food is delicious.

My mother moved into Atria in Setauket right before everything was shut down due to COVID. This has greatly limited our experience of what seems to be a lovely community there, but all of my dealings with staff and with the Atria organization have been great. During the height of the COVID-19 shutdown and surge the daily newsletters kept us informed and helped ease our concerns. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Atria Senior Living to anyone!!

My mother recently moved into Atria and her experience has been wonderful! She has said a few times now that she should had done this 5 years ago. The staff and other residents are very warm and friendly and my mom loves the food :)

The staff is very friendly and helpful, and makes you feel right at home. The food is also very good and tasty. This is an excellent place to spend your retirement years.

I would tell people that it is one of the best places for your parents. The community is beautiful, very clean, the staff is attentive. I give the food an A plus. They have several activities and the staff is very friendly and they get to know the families quickly. The residents are very friendly. They have been on lock down and this has kept COVID out of the community.

I would highly recommend Atria Penfield to potential residents and their families. I have been treated as a resident and member of the community since my arrival. Residents with many different issues and circcumstances arrive and are treated as individuals and provided the help that is needed. All of the staff seem to go above and beyond to make people feel included and comfortable. I thank them for their patience and perseverance with my own idiosyncrasies. They are the ones that keep me strong and sane during this period of my life! Again, I recommend this facility and the people that make it run so smoothly!

The community has tried to make an effort of keeping activities up through COVID. My loved one is very happy with the community. The community asks for feedback on the the food. My loved one likes the food. The apartment is very nice for my loved one.

The community is great. We were very pleased. The food is good. It is everything you want in an assisted living community for your loved one. My loved one enjoyed everyone there. The service overall was great.

I would say not to go there. The care is lacking and responsiveness is lacking as well. The care that is lacking is the care for the residents. We have received calls from my loved one about needing assistance and no one is there to assist my loved one when he is making the request in the community.

Before COVID they were amazing, but we haven't been able to visit in about six months so we cant tell how clean the community has been kept. For what we know though the staff has been keeping the residents very safe during this time. When we first visited this community they made us very comfortable, welcomed, and treated us like family. Our loved one has spoken very highly of them. The staff is bringing the residents their food to their room now whereas before they were eating in the dining room. The value for this community is good, but we wish they had a little bit better medical assistance. The activities were terrific before COVID. Tuesday nights they would play music after dinner, they also had bingo. The staff really went out of their way to keep them active, engaged and keep their spirits up. Right now they are allowing outside visits. The executive director has been amazing, she is always available by email if we have any questions or concerns even if its over a weekend.

I would recommend it, we are happy with our loved one there. The food prior to COVID, the food was decent when we ate there. The room size is decent. The activities prior to COVID included: cooking classes and demonstrations, bingo, and some residents would play games and cards. They do have concerts that come in prior to COVID. I believe they even had a bus that would take residents to church services. They also provide transportation to doctor visits in the zip code, and this still happens. We have now resumed face-to-face visits, and this has started in the last couple of weeks. They hired an employee to oversee all the visits, and limited. They have had no residents or staff that has tested positive for COVID.

We chose Heritage Oak for a couple reasons. 1. the apartment itself 2. the price 3. the proximity to me. The bedrooms are larger from where my mom moved from, they also have very spacious closets. I have not eaten here as I moved her in during the pandemic, but my mom has said the food is pretty good, the menu offers 2-3 choices per meal. They have provided activities in spite of the pandemic, some of these includes bingo, movies, birthday parties.They have remained 100% COVID free this entire time. I would recommend this community because the residents are very friendly and my family is very happy with this choice we made. We wish the move wouldn't have been during the pandemic but they did a great job. They had a wonderful plan of how to move her in during the restrictions.

[Name removed] did a wonderful tour. My daughter and got all our questions answered. [Name removed] was friendly and knowledgeable. This place is top of my list so far.

The staff has been wonderful with my mom. They are caring and through these hard times take the time to talk on the phone or let us facetime with my mom. I saw another review that they are short staff... they always have two staff members in each building caring for the residents. That is NOT short staffed. The ratio for care to the residents is excellent. No one should expect it to be a one on one, this is an assisted living! If you feel uncomfortable why would you leave your loved one there?? I feel totally comfortable with the management and staff. They do an excellent job and put their lives on the line everyday through this pandemic. People should feel appreciative of what is being done there to keep our loved ones safe and cared for. I highly recommend Fox Trail in Deptford.
