Westmont Living

It felt right and it was close to my home to be able to attend to my mom. it's a sweet and caring community!

I wanted to take a moment t share out experience during our recent visit to tour Westmont at San Miguel Ranch. Overall, we were impressed with the knowledge and assistance provided we appreciated your friendly approach throughout out tour. The facility itself was exceptionally clean, and we were particularly pleased with the maintenance and tidiness of the facilities. However, we did notice that some of the carpets appeared quite dark, dingy looking, which may benefit additional cleaning and lighting to brighten up the space. During our visit, we had the opportunity to have a late lunch in the dining room from an additional menu option offered to the residents. It is worth noting that some of the staff member, including whom we assumed to be the Chef, seemed slightly annoyed during our interaction. As my mom is a picky eater, I needs without causing any inconvenience to the staff. I wanted share these observations as constructions as constructive feedback, and I hope it may contribute to further improving the already positive aspects of the facility. Thank you once again for your assistance. We value the time you took to guide us through the facility since mom was already a little hesitant about going in the first place and we are looking forward to the possibility of visiting Westmont in the future.

Overall, This is a really nice facility with helpful and friendly staff. The staff take seriously the needs and concerns of the residents.

We feel that the staff here is top notch! The management is interactive and that is why I feel this community works so well! I do feel they could use a little more staff!

They do a good job here, everyone is really kind. The food is good. They take good care of me here and I'm really thankful for that!

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them for memory care.

I would definitely recommend it. Other relatives of ours have moved there. My mother in law wanted more independence and has moved out into one of the little houses on the campus. It's still Westmont. Now she fixes her own food and drives herself to the doctor. She refuses to wear an emergency button but we can't do anything about that. What we really like the best about it is the ability for her to move into more care or less care as she requires it.

The activities are varied and well organized. The leaders are very caring and friendly. The office staff are knowledgeable and helpful

Overall, I am very satisfied with Westmat at Cypress. The staff is pleasant overall The site is beautiful. I do have concerns regarding the rates of caregivers to the needs of residents

My loved one is very happy at Westmont of Encinitas. They've had their issues with adequate staffing esp. caregivers. But she's made many friends, stays active, food is really good(4 out of 5) and she's only minutes from us (kids)

Over all cleanliness was above average. My only 'complaint' was they had a difficult time with the weekly house cleaning. The hk left and it took a while to replace and mom's apt was skipped a few times over a couple of months. It took too long, they should have hired a temp agency. It is a safe place. I would live there.

The Westmont of La Mesa is a beautiful community that is kept clean and has friendly staff working there. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

The dietary staff is wonderful as are the RA's. The facility itself is clean as a whistle. They treat my loved one with respect.

My loved one unfortunately passed away after a few months. We initially chose Westmont of Riverside over the other facilities that we looked at because of the value for the money as well as the nice sized rooms . The staff and residents were all very friendly.

I love the friendliness and accessibility of staff by text message. That's great. My experience has been generally positive, with an emphasis on excellent communication.

I like that it is a small community so it's easy for residents to bond. Staff is kind. I also like the location. The things I like least is that they don't have a rolling warmer so food arrives to the table like warm or cold. Even my kids lunch program had a rolling warmer to ensure food could be consumed at the right temperature. Also there are times when the actual meal doesn't quite match the menu description Like other care and service facilities, they go thru phases of high staff turnover. That is tough in this environment. I think they could benefit from evening security or do better at screening residents who should be in memory care but are in independent or assisted living.
