Westmont Living

We toured this nice community. It was acceptable and It was clean. The staff was helpful and they answered all of our questions. They focused on my mother not us which was nice. They were accommodating to our needs they were very friendly. We just needed something closer to us. And they were a little more expensive here.

Westmont Town Court is a very nice community. My mom is slowly settling into her new home. Everybody is very friendly and nice. They provide my mom with good care. The food is good, I've eaten there myself. They have well-balanced meals for the residents. My mom has let me know that they do run out of food choices sometimes .My mom enjoys the activities that they provide, she loves to swim and participates in the exercise classes. I wanted to especially thank [Removed], my advisor from A Place For Mom for all of her help and providing us with information and options.

Overall, I am happy with the care my father is recovering at Westmont. They could use a little fine tuning, but the care is strong. The food is excellent and the facility is always kept very clean. We are happy with our choice.

My friend almost went with this community but it was more expensive. She really liked one of the rooms, it had a beautiful view that she loved. The staff was very friendly and it was a good experience to tour.

So far my dad seems to be doing well at Westmont. He has gotten to know several residents and has started to get involved in some of the discussion groups. He likes the food and the open dining option. We have had good interactions with the staff. The community is clean and well maintained. I would recommend this community.

The experience is going great. My mother-in-law is living in a clean community and she is eating good food. The employees are attentive and it has been easy for me to speak with them if I need. Overall I am happy with the care that is provided.

Staff are supportive, attentive, and patient with the residents.

The staff does a good job caring for the patients. I don't think my FIL participates much in the activities. He prefers to sit outside and enjoy the courtyard.

Costs are high like everywhere but Westmont is lower than many. Apartments are good size also, most are large studios and a few one bedrooms for couples. Pet policy is normal, currently there are 2 cats and several dogs living with their owners. Everything is kept clean with our great housekeeping staff. The lobby and dinning hall and bistro are much like a nice hotel. Many activities in fact I've heard we have more than most to choose from. Art, travel, around town excursions, nice movie theatre here, like the real thing, even a billiards room. Westmont provides laundry services for a monthly cost but there are also 2 laundry rooms. One upstairs & downstairs 2 elevators, so easy to get around. Food is good but not consistently. I think because of this being corporate run, the struggle with staffing and deliveries. There has been care staffing issues once in a while, but those seem to be mostly resolved lately. We have a resident council to share issues and appreciations with that minutes are shared with admin and corporate as well.

Experience was good the only thing was that the flooring to our rental was not cleaned or mopped before we moved in. The backyard area was also very dirty.

I recently toured this facility as a caregiver for my wife. I was seeking information on facilities, type and amount of care given and costs. The neighborhood setting was nice and the staff was friendly and informative. The facilities were older but well maintained and appeared to be recently remodeled. The one thing I didn’t care for was that most of the rooms in the memory unit were shared but then on the other hand were probably less expensive.

Staff is great, so helpful. I love the place! Food could use improvement. Activities are good but would love more outings. Unfortunately price is not going to work for us long term

Staff is friendly and helpful. They seem to care. They have activities and trips to get them out. Plenty of good food. Room size is fine.

The presentation was excellent in answering questions - especially on heath care. The facility was nice and welcoming. Unfortunately they have a very large waiting list. But I would not be comfortable in the cottage as the back porch is fully enclosed. Nice to sit and look out I guess but I would want to be able to enjoy the yard and not be fenced in. So it is a no for me.

I'd rate 4 stars w/a strong '+' only because of staffing issues, hopefully something temporary. Love the environment! [name removed], [name removed], [name removed]& staff (in general) set a beautifully inviting, family oriented atmosphere that [name removed] fits into perfectly! Love her restaurant-style meal choices; waiter included, even if at times she begs the difference; par for the course; back to normal; using her voice w/great improvement! Her unit is beautiful, spacious w/ accommodating amenities, in -room washer & dryer'& weekly cleaning & lots of light! She plays BINGO...daily when offered...loves winning. The weekly 'Bistro' holiday entertainment schedule is commendable, w/holiday celebrations echoing 'Off--the-Chart' preparation. Westmont is a place I would choose for myself that'd. THAT is a heartfelt recommendation!

We chose Westmont of Fresno because of the quality of the food. The friendly staff, and the overall cleanliness of the facility. They make you feel so welcome and at home. We did have some issues with billing in the beginning.

We moved mom into this facility recently. Knowing that the facility recently went through major staff changes we feel that they need more staff. The receptionist also a works in the kitchen. Only one maintenance man (who does great in his assignments) but has the tasks of at least two. The current cook started as a janitor. Food is okay but sandwiches, burgers or hot dogs for dinner? First week in and little to no personal (room) services were provided ie room not cleaned, no showers, no laundry or bed changes. Talked with the director who has addressed the needs and they have changed. Many adjustments are and will still continue to be made but the need for more staff seems to be necessary. Currently spending big $ for so so (as best under current situation - staffing allows). But not many choices in our area so we wait and see. Staff there are great but they definitely need more staff

We are very happy with our overall experience so far. My Dad has been there officially now for 1 week. The caregivers and staff are all very nice and attentive. The facility is clean, bright, and smells good. The food in the restaurant is ok, sorta hit and miss, but overall good. Communication is a little difficult and seems disjointed, but we eventually get our questions answered.

The communication is good. When I'm there staff seems very caring. It's hard to really rate as my stepmother is in memory care so getting feedback from her is difficult. Room/apartment is plenty for her needs. Cleanliness seems pretty good.

Overall impression, clean and quiet. Soothing music for the residents, choices for meals, activities geared toward being active, and quiet in the memory care unit. Only problem we face is there is not enough money in our coffers for long-term care.
