They feed the residence well. Communication is ok but there have been issues getting things fixed in a timely manner. The staff is friendly but I would not recommend this community based on my experience.

Sterling Place community is very clean, and the food taste really good but there is just a really small selection to choose from. Since the pandemic instead of going to the cafeteria to eat, they are deliver the food to our rooms. They do have bingo and card games to participate in.

The friendliness of the staff members was not authentic, the value was fine for what you paid for. The only issue we had was that they did not report to us when our loved ones care level changed. They had a care team on sight and even the communication between the community and the care team was lacking. Prior to COVID it looked like the activities were nice, however it seemed like a lot of the activities were geared towards woman, where the men would be sitting our standing outside of the building not participating.

I like the facility. I like the staff. I like the costs. I do not like the total lockdown aspect of memory care making my access difficult. I do not like the long hallway that dad must travel for his meals. I do not like that he has no access to the out of doors.

I am happy with this community. I feel that they can use some improvements in the cleaning area. I have concerns on his personal care at times. I am happy that he does like the meals that are server. They offer him alot of nice activiites. I would suggested that other families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

The common areas were nice enough. Liked that residents would get three meals a day. Like the laundry arrangements. Was not impressed with the actual apartment. Looked like they are in dyer need of remodel/upgrade. The one bedroom appeared very small.

My brother has had issues getting his calls answered quick and at times his calls goes to voicemail. I went away for a week and saw that his room was not clean. They left his soiled linen and it wreaked like urine. When I was there often it was maintained. The staff are friendly enough. He says the meals are okay but is having a difficult time with the meal time for dinner. They serve breakfast at 9 am to 11 am, lunch at 11 am to 1 pm and dinner at 3 pm to 5 pm. He likes to eat late. I like that the community is taking car of his medication and he likes to sit outside on a bench on his porch. I would recommend them to those who need it.

There needs to be a lot of improvement in the dinning room area. The service is not acceptable and they always seem to be short staff, by the time my loved one finally receives her food it is cold. The carpet looks like it has not been cleaned in a long time and has an awful smell to it.

They have music and church and many activities for the residents to partake in. The music is too loud and appears to be chosen by the younger staff so too much hip hop and R&B. The main issue is there is no order in the halls etc. The residents with the motorized carts block the halls and run into other people. There needs to be better focus on orderliness.

I toured this community for my father and his needs. I wasn't very impressed with the layout of the community. The community felt very cramped. The rooms they showed me were very tiny. Everybody was very nice and friendly. Overall it wasn't the community for my father and his needs.

So far, so good. My parent is a new resident in the assisted living area. Some caregivers are friendlier than others. One person left him on the floor to get another assistant and did not explain to my father why he had to leave him on the floor. Adequate service. Lobby and main dining room is nice to visit and to look at. The rooms have a very good layout to them. The assisted living dining room does not have as much natural light as the regular dining Room., so if it is a little more depressing. Very clean. There are usually two choices for each meal. The menus are better than average. Lovely grounds. I like the fact that they have one wing for Independent living and one wing for assisted living. Waiting to see how well their staff works with the hospice personnel at this time.

So far the place is okay. It is kind of too early to tell, but the staff is nice and the building is clean. There were a few problems in the beginning, but those have been resolved.

We toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. Sunrise seemed like a nice place in terms of the care they offered, but it just felt too much like a skilled nursing facility, I don't think it was somewhere my loved one would have been comfortable living.

We were looking for a place with 2 bedrooms, which is hard to come by. We visited the Heatherwood and as soon as we entered the property, we noticed that the dining area and the reception desk area were located right by the entrance and there were people with walkers and wheelchairs, etc... so, our first impression was that it seemed somewhat depressing. Therefore, we have not yet made a decision and are still looking.

Everything is as expected except fot the dining experience. Staff is friendly & inviting. The meals are like high school cafeteria. Not much professionality in dining experiance. Feels a bit unclean. Washing seats with the same towel as washing table. Serving cookies & bread (no plate) on the table...I would expect a bit more professionalism & cleanliness. Nutrition comes to question? Have you tried the salad? Or the quesadilla? Not very remarkable! Otherwise, mom is pretty happy! Must work on food to keep her in this property!

They were okay. I looked at them but they never followed up or anything so they became excluded because the never followed up with me.

very large, new, most expensive I toured. Memory care seemed a way to keep residents and not a real program or trained staff. The salesperson broke patient privacy a number of times and that concerned me. Probably second choice of the ones I saw but we couldn't have afforded it.

Very tall building. Memory care unit on ground floor. Rooms opened onto side patio area, surrounded by tall wall.

Nice, older facility. Many on staff are nice and caring, but policy keeps them from providing all the support that resident may need. Fine place for fully functioning residents. Not great for folks needing more help. Not too helpful when residents are in transition. Did not respond well to family involvement, even though they said they wanted involvement. Words and actions did not match. I found we were overcharged for things (different than contract and written materials) and they were unwilling to correct $$ problems when they were pointed out.
