I found this place for my father. It gives him his independence of his own apartment, but the helpfulness of having his meals provided for. For a reasonable fee they assist with the administration of his medications, so that give me the assurance that he his getting them everyday & on time without worrying if he is remembering to take them. Included in the rent is weekly apartment cleaning & linen service which is great! The staff is very friendly & helpful. They have doctors that come to the complex to visit or they have a shuttle service to take residents to doctors visits, shopping & they go on other outings as well to keep active. There's also many activities in the complex that the residents can join in on everyday. I am very happy with this facility for my father & he seems happy with it as well.

Our experience with Sterling Place has been a good one, so far. The people and staff seem friendly, and it's a nice looking facility. We've got no complaints!

I like the staff at Russellville park. They work well with my dad and they are also great about working closely with his doctor to make sure he is getting the care he needs. They keep this small community clean. The activities coordinator has a lot of things for the residents to enjoy and they encourage him to participate. My dad likes the food, however it is a little bland for my taste.

Love it, trying to make this her next residence.

This community is very clean and has private bedroom for residents. My wife enjoys her meal and loves that it comes with ice cream. She gets assistance with cleaning her room and the staff are very helpful and attentive to misplaced items. My wife participates in the daily activities but she hopes gardening will be included. I would recommend this community because they are making my wife happy, and if she's happy I am happy too.

Ms. Peggy is as sweet as pie. Very nice community constant new upgrades going on. Good people if you stop and look and listen they all seem treat people with love and kindness

We appreciated the home-like atmosphere of Sunrise. There was a dog in the lobby who greeted us. We met one resident and her cat and spotted a nesting dove outside in the garden area. The presence of animals was a big plus. Residents tended to be friendlier and more outgoing. One lady engaged in a nice lengthy conversation with us and we felt welcomed. The dining room offers a choice of selections for each meal and residents are free to dine between certain hours so there is some flexibility about meal time. The food looked appealing and residents appeared to enjoy the flavors. Residents appeared to be sitting alone at their tables however. A small outdoor garden area was nicely planted. Not too much space to walk outside. Good selection of interesting activities and trips outside of the residence. Location is relatively far from our Tower District home making it difficult to spend time visiting or have time to enjoy family outings together. The predominant spiritual influence appears to be The People s Church which would be less familiar for Mom than a Catholic environment. It was clear that charges for administering medication and continence management could run quite high. Basically there is a charge for everything. Although the setting was more in tune with what we envision for our mother the corporate bottom line was a distracting factor.

We toured this community and it had a musty smell, but it's closer to the ocean so that could be a factor. The dining area is open from where the tenants live, so I don't know how well that would be when it rains.

As I have written before, I have already done an evaluation. My contact with Russellvile has been limited since my sister moved to Russellville 2/6. I would suggest that you contact her sons (Todd and Tim). I will say that my dealings with Russellville prior to the move were extremely satisfying. Shelly was very helpful....taking me on tours (2) , providing lunch , and answering my many questions in a knowledgeable and patient manner. She made my choice an easy one!

What a great staff! The move-in team was awesome and they made mom feel special. They have all made a stressful situation work out to be very comfortable for mom. We feel blessed to be at Russelville.

The Pasadena Highlands' real strength is their thoughtful, caring and helpful staff. Everyone, at all levels, presents a happy, friendly demeanor. The facility is situated very nicely and provides views in just about every direction depending on the apartment that you select.The apartments are well maintained and regularly updated, overall very nice. The food is good but not wonderful BUT the staff will accommodate one quickly if you have a special desire. Just be careful... make sure that this is what you want. When my wife exhibited wandering dementia I needed to place her in a safe place. I moved in to assisted living as well... it does not work for me for a variety of reasons.

Target group is people in their 80s and 90s so that people who are younger come in and find little of interest for them. Activities are geared for the older generation entirely. Other than that, it is a very well-run institution And is a good value.

Small units. Minimal kitchen facilities. Not a lot of storage. Security seemed a little lacking. Minimally smoker friendly. Communal laundry which seemed inconvenient. Nice dining. Good activities. Walkable area with shops in the neighborhood. Affordable.

Well for the most part things are going positively. We have had normal issues with adjusting of course. The staff does respond well and in a timely manner when we have an issue, so things are going well at Carmel Village.

Things are going good. They are going great. I believe that she is doing well there. She has been in and out of the hospital, so she has not been there a lot, but when she is there, things seem to be going well.

Russellville Park is a great value compared to other retirement homes in the area. The staff is great and they make sure they communicate well with the family. The building is always kept clean. This is a great place.

This facility is so sunny and beautiful when you walk in. It is a very welcoming and inviting atmosphere. The staff is very pleasant. The food is actually not to bad here either. Overall, not a bad place so far.

Very nice if you can get the north-facing apt. A pleasant environment. Close to home.
