I recommend place for Mom they were very helpful experienced and really helped me through the process I suggest anyone go to place for Mom and they constantly check on you make sure everything is good I recommend it highly excellent place

Pasadena Highlands has been a good place for my mom. The good: Clean, well appointed. The residents all seem to be happy and can be found engaging with each other and the staff. Food quality is good. So many activities. My mom does not need much attention, but from what I see, the ones that do, get it. Friendly staff. Responsive to my needs. The not so good: They seem to be understaffed. I think that is an issue across the entire industry. The intake/move-in process was a little disjointed and cumbersome. The building layout isn't the best, everything is on different floors and everybody needs to use the elevators to get anywhere. They take forever! Nothing they can really do about that. My mom has been there for 3 months. She has made friends, and after some time has started to participate in all the activities they offer. It's nice to call her and she says she has to go because she is going to see a movie.

It's really hard to communicate with the staff concerning issues with my father. They are very slow to email you back concerning situations but quick to email you if more money is needed they charge for a lot of things that should be discussed with families. however, overall it has been a good experience with the help of other services like hospice care management and a caregiver. Without those services, I don't think my dad would drive

So far all the staff is friendly and helpfully. The (3) meals provide, breakfast, lunch and dinner are on time each day, which helps on regularity for the clients. This business allows dogs, which has helped my mom jitters regarding this big move. Her dog was by her side.

We moved our Aunt into 5 Star of Reno a year and a half ago. She fit in almost immediately and has received very good care there. I feel the staff are very caring and attentive and they really try to have interesting and varied activities for the residents. My Aunt particularly enjoys the exercise classes, physical therapy, and the drumming classes.

The overall experience is a solid 4. Cleanliness is a 5. Friendliness of staff is a 5. Quality of care is a 4. It's difficult to provide assistance for a Parkinson's patient. My caring for a husband with Ataxia would rate a 4 as well because you can't keep up with this kind of person. Meals, I've eaten there and it's not a 5 star kind of dining, but the food is presented well, tasty and made fresh in house. However, the kitchen has changed hands. Based on my past experience, I would give it a solid 4. They have a nice like bistro for drinks, fruit, pastries, soup and salads type things. Open until like 2 pm. Very nice for a snack. Activities are what made me choose this facility. Always something to do, games, cards, movies, trips, shopping, a bar for those that have that need, library, crafts, get togethers for special holidays and birthday. Probably even more than what I know. Value for cost - I think it's good. It's an expensive place to be in a care facility. Must have some resources on your own.

After several months of visiting 55+ communities I chose Pasadena Highlands. I am comfortably settled in my apartment and have made some wonderful friends. I can’t believe I lived alone for so long when this was available. Pasadena Highlands is home now and I could not be happier.

I did find it was the least efficient during transition of ownership and she had passed b4 Grove took over. She broke her hip from a fall in the night to the bathroom alone. She had Dementia, so should not have been going to bathroom alone. So, I question the rounds of how often patients were being checked for safety and needs in the night.

She is at Carmel Village in Fountain Valley and loves it. Great overall feeling. They clean her room every week . The common area always nice. Mom loves the staff team. They get her to her appointments... And taken her to ER when needed. Mom has limited taste and a vegetarian. Unfortunately she cannot participate in the activities at this time

Clean facilities, great social activities, food seemed good! My Dad really liked his apartment ! Caregivers are awesome, but in my opinion may be overworked. I think my Dad just needed a little bit more attention/care but not necessarily memory care. He had a series of falls which led to his moving to another facility better suited to his needs. Overall, great place for more independent seniors.

Carmel Village is a good value for the quality of care being received by my mother. You could get better, but the cost would be much higher. We would recommend this community to other families, in my opinion they have been good overall.

The community is friendly. The apartment is spacious and bright. Daily exercise classes are offered to promote continued movement. The location is very convenient with banks, stores and eateries within walking distance.

The caregivers my mother had were [name removed], [name removed] and [name removed], they were phenomenal! Particularly [name removed]...she introduced mom to other residents, arranged for "play dates", where she could socialize on a one on one basis. Then there was [name removed], she was my mother's med-tech. She was so observant. Unfortunately, she left.

Villa Capri is a very nice facility. We feel that my loved one is receiving good care there. They have not been good at helping us navigate his emotional response to being there, such as how to answer his questions about why he is there and when can he go home. That said, it's a beautiful, clean facility. The cost is very very high and not easy for my family, but we want him to have good care. I just wish there was more support for the families.

Pasadena Highlands is a nice assisted living community. My mom has been there for approximately 1 year and I haven't any complaints. It's becoming more diverse which my mom likes.

Dad mostly enjoys living at Premier 5 Star. The care is good when they have enough employees. They do have a problem keeping employees. They’ve been short staff for a long time. I believe it’s been going on 3 years. Due to the short staff the dining room is closed, so the food is delivered to the resident. The food arrives cold and unappetizing.

I enjoy the people who live and work here are nice. The food is varied. I attend the book club, and church services regularly. The drivers take me to and from the grocery store weekly. All the drivers are amicable. I would highly recommend this community to any senior looking for their next home!

Chosen over others for individual room size; condition and appearance of facility; proximity to family; activities provided; obvious satisfaction of other residents, accessibility, professionalism, and friendliness of administrative staff. Mom is very happy there, comments on how kind all staff are to her.

We've had a good experience at WellQuest of Menifee Lakes. It's a great place - the facility is clean always. The staff is great. Just don't like how expensive it is.

Our family had an in person tour with Carmel Village and the tour experience as well as the community was all really nice, but ultimately it came down to the cost and location and that is why we did not choose it for our loved one.
