Great...so far. The request for review was sent in 5 days after Mom moved in, so it is a little early to speak for the long run. That said, so far, Pasadena Highlands has delivered on all their promises. Mom was released from hospital directly there and has not yet had the opportunity to experience the amenities offered. 4.5 stars (except for big time elevator waits). If able, I'll update this in a month or two. I toured five facilities. Pasadena Highlands was the best fit. Staff is friendly and engaged with the residents. The facility is immaculate and upscale. Highly recommend you check them out if you are looking for assisted living in the 5K + / month range (don't let price scare you as all charge about the same at this level of facility)

My friend Ida is a resident and I recently visited her at Carmel Village Retirement. The facility is clean, quiet, and well maintained. The staff is friendly and attentive. The location is safely tucked away in a nice residential area. My friend is happy there and I would recommend Carmel Village to others. Thank you!

A family friend lives here. The community is located in a nice quiet area that's a few minutes off the 405 freeway. All of the rooms have patios, which is really nice. There is a front desk with a receptionist where you check in when you arrive. My friend was able to bring a surprising amount of personal items and furniture into her assisted living room - I was impressed at how spacious it was and how it felt like her home, just condensed down into a studio apartment of sorts. She had a queen bed, lots of wall art, a TV, a desk, and several chairs. There is also a kitchenette. She says it is easy to talk to people and make friends if you want to. She has some problems with the food, but she is an excellent cook and also very opinionated, so I suspect she may be the issue rather than the chef :) The only reason it is not a 5-star is because they need to hire more caregivers. The caregivers are very nice and obviously care, but they are so overworked - they are always rushing around and trying to help everyone but they simply can't do it all! My loved one said she pressed her pendant once when she was stuck in the bathroom and she didn't receive help for 50 minutes. Again, I don't think this is the caregivers' fault - rather, it's a matter of management trying to cut corners when they really need to hire more caregivers so the residents are safer, and both the caregivers and the residents can live more satisfied lives!

They have coffee and cookies that are free, all the time, meals are included in the monthly price. There is very little nickle and diming. We tried to get her pictures put on the wall, they have a maintenance person that does it, but we had to ask three times. There may be a breakdown in the communication somewhere. She loves the food. I'm very, very happy with the staff being helpful, and kind, and friendly. She liked that the room available faced the courtyard, and the way the sun comes streaming through the windows because of the angle the room.

My loved one has only been here for a short time, but so far, I am very pleased. I really think this is a great place! The staff is really adjusting to my loved one. I'm visiting often to help my loved one adjust, but I am very pleased with the help they provide and the attention they give!

I absolutely loved Rio Las Palmas. I toured several times and had a deposit down for several months. Unfortunately, my parents were not ready to move. In the end, I went with another facility because my father passed away and I needed Medi-Cal assistance for my mother.

Finding assisted living is a tough job but helped so much by A Place for Mom who pointed me to Russellville Park. Russellville Park is just what my mother-in-law needed. We feel confident she will be well cared for, and appreciate the support of the staff. Piece of mind and emotional help for the family members means a lot and Russellville Park does their very best to make sure all the bases are covered. I can't thank them enough.

We chose Sunrise because they had vacancy and offer different levels of care. With the different levels of care we would not have to move our loved one if she needed higher level of care. The community is very clean and the staff is very proficient. We are very satisfied with Sunrise and would recommend them to anyone looking for a place for their loved one.

Staff are wonderful, memory care is beautiful, love all the puzzles.

We would give them a 4.5. What we like the most about the community is that it is a nice facility with numerous staff that are present. The service has been good and the staff are adaptable to changing needs. Yes we would recommend Carmel Village to other families based on the experience

The Admitting Administrator is the absolute best! [name removed] was very patient, welcoming, and focused on my brother's needs. The entire staff is eager to assist with whatever my brother might be in need of. Sterling Place sets on a beautiful tree-lined street & the 10 acres of landscaped grounds are immaculately kept and feels as though one is in a serene park setting. There are nice long walking paths with convenient benches placed along the way. The dining rooms are clean and comfortable..as are are the public bathrooms on the main floor. Sterling Place is the perfect community for active or not- so- active Senior person. Sterling Place is the perfect new home for my brother.

My father is in a memory care room. The entire 3rd floor is reserved for people with memory care issues. Secured with access code. 2 x Dinning rooms are also on the 3rd floor. 1 large and one smaller room. He has 2 closets, his lazy boy recliner, dresser, adjustable queen bed, side table, floor lamp and 70" tv from home. 4' x 12' balcony with 6' x 8' glass sliding door and great view of mountains.

The apartment is spacious and well designed for my dad. He is also definitely eating better since moving to The Remington.

My mother is very happy at WellQuest journeys in Elk Grove. The staff have been pleasant with all interactions. I visit 3 x week. All different days as well as different times. I have NEVER witnessed any abuse. My mother moved in Sept. 2024. A covid outbreak happened sometime after that. My mother got sick. The staff handled the situation professionally and with compassion.

They're very kind it's very clean. The staff is very nice, but things are a little disorganized. Their refrigerators in the rooms have had many problems. They've had a bit of changing of staff and cooks. They just need a little bit more organization, but it's really much more affordable in some places And they really care. My friend is very happy there that I am her conservator. They also have great outings for the residence.

Maintenance can also be a challenge; requests aren't always addressed in a timely manner. The community has a very friendly atmosphere, and it's easy to make connections with others. Unfortunately, the food options aren't great for someone needing a heart-healthy diet.

My Mom is finally better acclimated and certain needs have been met, but it's taken a little bit of time to do so. Thank you for inquiring. I'm thinking price point is a determining factor, being all things equal.

Individual housekeeping for units is fair compared to the overall cleanliness. There is frequent turnover of management. They need more activities for men. The parking for visitors is a problem.

Super responsive staff: very clean and appealing facility, nice location. Farm to table food- great choices No comment on room "size" as I have nothing to compare to. But rooms seem well-appointed with built-in shelves and roomy bathroom
