This property is very well maintained and kept clean. The building was updated with great amenities offered to the residents. The staff was excellent during our tour and gave us lots of detailed information about the community. The price was way to expensive for my loved one and I to afford.

We have moved in and lived there for 6 weeks; so, far all is well. The food is very good; however, there is often a fifteen minute wait to enter the dining room --difficult for some to stand and wait. There was a problem with seating in the dining room, but a table was opened and a place made for us. Staff is planning to improve that with a change in seating procedures. If one is dependent on cell phone, reception in first floor apartments is virtually nil; we installed a land line. I would recommend this place even with a few problems because staff is trying to do better.

I toured here when looking at different options. It was a lovely community, clean with a friendly staff. It was kept very clean, and seemed to be a little more upscale than another place I looked at, that was also nice.

The best thing that Waltonwood has done really well has been to get people around mom. The overall experience has been positive and the main reason for that has been because of the friends mom has been able to make there. Mom was a little hesitant and worried at first about what the experience would be like, but it has gone really well. The only area they might could improve would be the meals. There are only two meals served during the day time, and I would love to see three good decent meals served throughout the day.

This facility would be great for someone requiring minimal care. I was very impressed with the activities provided on a weekly basis, and the meals seemed very good. And there was a handful of employees that were exceptional in the care they provided, but not the majority of the staff. There were major issues with respond times when our mother needed assistance, and many of the caregivers were not properly instructed for certain aspects of her care that seemed pretty ordinary for older individuals. Luckily my mother had her mental capacities, and could verbalize the problems that continued to occur. Overall, I was very disappointed with their ability to provide the level of service that we were promised when she moved in. We had several meetings with them to try and resolve the response problems, but they never were resolved by the time she passed away.

Nice visit. The is a great looking community. I will consider it if no other options were to pan out.

My mother is at Waltonwood in Independent Living. It's been 2 months and she is still trying to adjust. She was coming from her own home after being there 62 years. Her apartment is clean, cheery, and the staff is very helpful and positive. The environment is very safe.

We toured this community when we were looking into options for my loved one. This was a nice looking community, and the staff were all very friendly, but it didn't really have the atmosphere we wanted for our loved one. It felt more like a hospital, very sterile, and we were looking for a more home-like atmosphere.

This is a very clean, nice looking place, and the staff have all been very friendly and courteous. I'd be happier with a higher staff to resident ratio, and my loved one has mentioned wishing they had some low-impact cardio equipment in their exercise area.

Visited the facility and I think my Aunt would be comfortable making either of the Waltonwood establishments a good new home to live. Mailing all the info to her today so she can make her decision.

They are doing very good. As far as the staff, they are all very friendly. They take an interest in the residents and the family, and if you ask them a question, they are there. In terms of what they could improve, I guess the only concern would be to make sure that they are in contact with us if my dad is not feeling well. It would be nice to be contacted with solutions. I would also like to have him see the doctor a little more often, although I am not sure if that is within the community's control.

Once again the staff was very informative and friendly, the place was beautiful,but I think it was too big and too many elevators to get where she needs to be.

It was comparable in price or maybe even slightly higher than Sunrise, but when my wife and her sister went to look at it they liked it, they said it would have been fine too.

It's a beautiful facility but they didn't have any openings for the apartment my mother wanted and they said she could move into one of their available ones and then when something opens up she could move into that one but we didn't want to move her and then move her again. It's beautiful and she liked the layout of the particular apartment and we met several people as we toured that actually just came up to us and we saw a list of their acitivites. In fact, the day we went they had taken a group down to the beach so there were quite a few residents who weren't even there. Just from what we saw and the folks we talked to it seemed like a great place.

They're doing a really good job I think, some of it may be just the fact that my mother sometimes denies help, maybe when they try to help her with certain things I think she just says she'll do it herself or something but they're helpful. She's been doing some activities but she has macular degeneration real bad, so she can't particiapte in all of it. Usually on Thursdays they have somebody come in to do a music program and she's really enjoying that. The food is really good (4), some things are better than others but overall it's good. When we first sat down with them and talked about things that they needed to help my mother with we talked about maybe helping her with bathing, I think they have tried but maybe just being a little more persistant with trying to help her. The thing I liked better at Waltonwood was you actually have a little apartment, you have a living room, a bathroom and a kitchenette, it's more like home and it's also a little bit of a newer facility.

It was pretty nice but more expensive than some others we looked at.

Very nice, cheery. There were a few residents sleeping in their wheelchairs near the front desk, much like I would expect in a nursing home. Leasing agent was knowledgable and friendly; really wanted to get to know about my dad.

Waltonwood is good but it's very expensive. It was too expensive for my mother's budget but it is very nice. The one on Cherry Hill is nicer than the Canton Center one - it's newer and more modern.

Cost for 2:$3,595. One year lease. Plus you pay gas, electric, cable & phone. Includes 2 meals/day. Respite available. Housekeeping & Laundry services by ?. On call physician, podiatrist and portable dentistry. Physical therapy room and therapy pool bed and bath linens provided, daily bed making.
