very homey, little bit of a smell in the memory care, huge circular area, large eating area, do a lot of baking projects, separate shower area, like that a lot ... less scary. very very nice staff

It is a very nice place. We are meeting next week to complete paperwork. Price is a little miss leading. it is 1450.00 for room an board then 5 levels of care fee starting at 1350.00 up to 2975.00 extra each month. This part we are hoping the insurance will accept for her long term care.

Recently purchased by a family, so it has a nurturing feel. They are in the process of major renovations. The renovated rooms are bright and airy. I didn't see too many of the staff when I was there.

I loved the building and the fact that there are only 65 beds. The location is great for us. [Name removed] is warm and caring. All the employees that I met were friendly (and helpful when I got lost trying to get in). It is extremely clean and there are alot of planned activities. Hair dressing on premises with a dedicated salon. The rooms are airy and light. I enjoyed my tour.

I was impressed with the staff/ resident ratio, the layout of the facility, the fact that they provided continued care allowing movement to higher care levels while being able to stay in the same room.

Memory care ONLY. Very nice place with a beautiful dog roaming around. Not a fit at this time.

I liked the small community for my mom. Less confusing for her. Like that some of the staff had longevity there.

Liked this place very much. It is convenient for myself and my daughter to visit. Will keep in mind for consideration.

Clean and attentive. Food could be better. Activities could be enhanced. Workers friendly and helpful.

People really friendly and helpful

It was wonderful. My son went with me and he said that he could even move in there. We enjoyed the pleasant people who worked in the facility and had a good meeting with [name removed]. I took my husband in this morning, [date removed], to tour the facility. He said "it would do for two weeks." [Name removed] did his assessment and we decided that he fit into the assistant living category rather than memory care. We decided that the best situation for him was a single room with bath. I will go back in the morning to fill out the paperwork and make the deposit. The best part - it is only five minutes from our house!

I have lived here for four years in December. I enjoy the bus trips - especially to the local fish camps. The patio is a perfect place to relax. I have enjoyed my time here.

I really like the place. It was small but felt like a home instead of an institution.

A wonderful place and top of our list, however, Memory Care is not secure.

Tour facility on Thursday, [date removed]. Tour folks ([names removed] and the Executive Director - I forget her name) were extremely knowledgeable and very hospitable. I was impressed that they had my name listed on a decorative chart as I entered - even though I had just planned the visit an hour prior to the actual tour. Impressed. For a few reasons, we are not going with this location; mostly due to more compelling reasons of having already applied to other locations. If needed, and if room available, this would be a place to consider.

This place seems perfect. Very open, spacious. Friendly staff. Does not have an institutional feeling. Open access to courtyard is nice. Facility is secured for memory care residents but it does't seem like it.

Does not have a secured dementia facility.

Improve benefits/salaries to help maintain staff and help turnover Review the menus, offer larger servings, maybe let residents make selections, night meals need to be larger

My dad was in a home in Joplin when we found out that he would need help with memory care so we were recommended to come here. So far it’s been wonderful. The only issue I’ve had is the communication between me and the staff has been difficult. I requested that my father have no visitors other than myself and that has yet to happen. There were some issues with cleaning but that’s since been remedied. The staff is doing what they can to help, answering any questions they can, but I still feel like my dad is lacking the care he needs. The food is good and there’s plenty of it each day, it seems pretty nutritious as well. The cleaning staff keeps things tidy and clean and they really work with my dad to make sure they get his room taken care of; it just gets difficult on the weekends when they aren’t’ available. There are a lot of activities to keep everyone busy like Walmart outings, going to the museum and the YMCA. They even took my dad to a local elementary school where he got to read to third graders. All of the residents are very interactive with each other, which is nice because otherwise my dad would isolate himself. I think overall, the price paid is very fair for the things they offer. I’ve already recommended this place to several people. I think if the parts that I’ve been having issues with are able to be taken care of, this place would be a 5.

My mom seems to like this community very well. She is starting to make some friends and she likes going to play bingo. The staff is wonderful very friendly and nice. I haven't heard her complain about the food so I am assuming she is liking it. I would recommend this community to anyone.
