Mom made the decision herself that she wanted to move closer to me and live in an assisted living community. A Place for Mom was very helpful in supplying information on several communities in my area and after visiting, mom decided Greenfield of Stafford suited her best. She has wonderful things to say about the staff and enjoys the many activities during the week. She considers it her home after 3 months of living there :-)

Compared to the other places I looked at its definitely a lot cheaper, about half the price of the other places and it's pretty nice, they're really friendly. The only thing he gets is his medications and there haven't been any issues with those. There's quite a bit of acitivites, they take them off site almost everyday, there's poker, movie nights, I think he's been to the casino a couple of times, philly night... The first week he moved there was a little tough but then he got in the groove

The reason that we choose the “Greenfield of Berryville” for mom is because the pricing was right on mark with what we were looking for. The people are very friendly and they have the full range of services for what we were looking for. As she progresses along she won’t have to be moved to a different community we can keep her at Greenfield. The food is pretty good mom likes it a lot. She is as happy as can be expected at this point. They do offer some activities but mom doest get evolved in them.

I would recommend the property, The property is clean, the employees are friendly and caring, the food is ok..

Clean, lots of interaction among residents. Dir of Marketing who did tour worked at Blue Ridge Hospice. Facility clean and bright Room size adequate.

Layout a bit confusing,heavy traffic flow on Stenton Ave and inside with hsekping/food carts. Clean-staff speaks with residents thru out travels**

Started at $2,500 for private. Unfortunately, will not work with our budget.

Very impressive! The rooms seem a little bit bigger than most and the whole feel of the place is warmer and friendlier. The location is great too.

Very nice place but not what Dad needs If Mom was alone this might fit her needs but Dad is still in great shape and needs a little more independence then they provide

All of the working class staff care about their jobs and genuinely care about my mother. I do not believe that the executive director has much of an education though she lied to me a couple of times- but luckily I do not have to deal with them much. They just hired a brand new RN and she seems quite nice and the caregiver I have going in has had all good things to say so far. We are overall pleased with expeinrece so far.

You need to be cognitive of where your loved one is in terms of memory care. One of our biggest issues was my loved one was bored. They had lots of activities, but nothing he was interested in. So he mostly sat around watching TV. The people were very nice, caring, and very upbeat w him; I know they tried. But, again, our biggest issue circled around him feeling bored - which resulted in him calling home a lot.

The community is very open, friendly, and welcoming it is not depressing in the least. It is very clean but just with the time we are in with covid some of our expectation's are not being met and sometimes they have trouble keeping up communication with families.

They seem friendly and helpful during sign-up. Then when you call to check on your loved one or ask questions; they end up screen the call. Then I have to leave a message and the community doesn't call me back. I have even called the management and asked if I am calling too much. Since I can't get answers to my questions. They were supposed to send me login information about what your loved one was participating in on a website. This login information took almost 4 months to get to me. The community is offering theme weeks to keep the residents entertained.

They are one of the most affordable in the area. As long as your loved one doesn't have any behavioral problems with memory care, then I would recommend your loved one to go there. The room was shared and small.

Overall, a good and safe place for my mother. She is in the Memory Care unit. We do have an issue with the meals not being diabetic-friendly, are pretty high in carbs, with no good selections for diabetics. Mom cannot choose to avoid the high carbs, just eats what she is given. So we had problems with soaring blood sugars, requiring hospitalization. There were some other minor issues which caused concern, but they were resolved immediately when I brought them up. The staff is very attentive, patient and caring. The activities are varied and interesting. Last winter there was a case of the flu, and the staff cleaned constantly and managed to prevent anyone else from being infected. All areas are very clean and decorated pleasantly. My mother is as happy and content as she can possibly be, given the ravages of dementia on her functionality.

We took a tour at The Terrace at Chestnut Hill and really liked it. If it had been located more centrally between my siblings and me, we may have chose this place for my loved one. The people were great, and I liked that they seemed to have reasonable price and payment options available.

My Aunt was only here for respite care for a month and It was a wonderful community.The food there was great and it was fully staffed. Took really good care of her. They kept it clean and grounds were nice.

My aunt was coming from a larger community and she wasn't really happy there so once we toured this community and saw that it was smaller we knew this was going to be the right fit for her. Since moving here my aunt is doing ok better than she was before still keeping to herself but the staff is slowly trying to ease her into social activities. The food is good well balanced. They keep the building clean and well maintained.
