Overall: very good; Cleaning floors constantly; Friendly staff; Good food & dietician checks in with residents & their families in the units & knows residents by name; Working toward interactive activities for those who are further into the dementia timeline who are more challenging with which to work; Great activities for those who are at higher cognitive levels.

The community Close to my home Can stay in room as memory changes Medicaid approved Onboarding felt very rushed and not organized.

I have a problem with them in that they charged me [removed] for the first month and my husband only lived two weeks, he died on [date removed] last year and entered Viva ( it was Commonwealth then). I was told that I would get a refund for any days that weren't used in case of his death, and I never got a dime. I texted [name removed] several times and he said he would let me know when the check was issued but I never heard back. I called Viva but no one answered, so I left a message but again, they never responded. I wish A place for Mom would tell them that they are not going to recommend Viva if they treat the families in this fashion. I liked the staff and the manager [name removed]. The facility is nice, unfortunately those places are never enjoyable.

I did not give it a 5 because I think the Private Pay focus is important and it was not clear to me after my first few communications with your staff. The facility feels very homey with the Executive Director as the parent. Everyone is. We friendly and happy to meet new residents and their families.

Heritage Hill Senior Community is a nice place with great staff.

like it better for [name removed] than his previous memory care facility and he is doing better. I also would like you to know that this all wouldn't have happened if it had not been for the continual help in guidance of your rep, so sorry I can't remember her name right now. She is out of Texas. Because of her [name removed] did not go to a nursing home and went to a facility that actually evaluated him and helped him not only with a walker, but also his room is even kept much cleaner. One of the positive positive things is that he has now a shower in his room so that when he has accidents. It's very easy to clean him up. again, I want to thank a place for mom for sticking with me and helping me make a better choice. And if [name removed] understood he would also thank you.

The staff has kept me well informed of any medical emergencies my mother has had. They also keep us informed of activities occuring at the facility. I looked at other facilities and this one was local.

The staff were very caring and the facility was much nicer than place where she is now.

For the value for cost - but this is really hard because I think ALL these places are too expensive. We will be out of money in about 4 years, maybe 3, so I have NO idea what we'll do then. I would recommend Viva SL Cockeysville for people who care deeply about their family members and their level of care. This community is also somewhat affordable compared with places like [community removed]. And really the best thing about Viva SL Cockeysville is its small size. Even when they're busy, it's not hard to find a med-tech or an aid. That goes a long, long way and increases the overall level of care. And I'll add, the new director is committed to making the food better, offering more fresh vegetables and fewer fried foods.

The facility is set up with 2 wings, so to speak. There is one side dedicated completely to memory care. That is what we needed for my Aunt. The staff is very encouraging and caring. They get to know the residents personally and interact with them as they would family. It took me a little while to realize that I could relinquish care to them, as I had been my Aunt's sole caregiver for a few years. They understood my reluctance to step away for more than 24hrs, my stresses, my tears. As I saw my Aunt responding positively as each day/week passed, I knew in my heart that I had made the right decision getting the care for my Aunt that I could not provide. They have PT and OT capabilities in house, with the consistency and familiarity that really bring about the best from my Aunt. With familiarity comes the ability to recognize when things aren't "quite right" with a particular resident, and a call is made to the family. In my Aunt's case, she can't remember what to do when the phone rings or how to hang it up. Therefore she does not have a phone in her apartment. I was encouraged to call and check on her as often as I needed. No matter how many times I called, they were always understanding and reassuring. Keepsake was a God send for me

What we like the most about The Terrace is that it has more older, experienced mature staff. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

The staff is very attentive to the residents. They are carrying and get Very concerned if there are any changes in a resident. They react on what is the best care for The resident. The facility is clean and there aren't any odors. They try to get the residents to attend activities.

You are not going to get the care that you would give at home. You would be 1on1 with your loved one, they are 2 staff to 13 residents each shift. They are for the most part doing their best, but it's not an easy job taking care of bathroom needs, food needs, and keeping them active with things to do hourly.

[name removed]and [name removed]are the best! I feel relieved knowing my Mom is there and being well taken care of. Room sizes are nice, played out well. I know there are a lot of activities, but my mom doesn't partake in them. However, my Mother in law is there and enjoys all of them!

Staff is wonderful... friendly and accommodating. Food was great. It has changed for me worse. Cost to live here is reasonable.. compared to other places

It's an older facility. My mom complains about the food all the time. Have a great activities director. Building is older. Definitely could use an update. No direct access to outside for residents. Staff is friendly, not as attentive to more independent residents.

Everything and everyone was kind, and helpful. The place was always clean and smelled nice. Good value at a fair cost.

We have been overall happy with the Traditions. I think they could do a little better to have more interaction with the residents. However, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

We were attracted to them because of the I would recommend to others. The admin staff absolutely loves this place and the residents. They are second to none

My loved one was only at The Hearth at Greenpoint for 3 days before she fell and broke her foot. She had to go for PT. I simply cannot say enough about the food that they served back then. Fantastic homemade soups, etc. If families are dealing with seniors that don't eat well, I believe Greenpoint's meals would entice them to eat. But remember, my experience is 2-3 years ago.
