Not a Good Place for Seniors

The first experience was good. The last 4 years have gone down hill. Only photos online are from 2011. I would not put any family or friends here. They are only putting on a show for all. Never any caring. There are safety issues abound. The residents are not is a good place at all

We weren't so impressed with Bluegrass. We could detect a definite unpleasant odor to the facility as soon as we walked in. This was the last appointment and to say we were disappointed in the tour was an understatement. We definitely won't use Bluegrass.

Don't go there.

They do not provide transportation. They only call TARC which is not free and resident pays. Food is terrible. No special diet needs are met. Director never returns phone calls. Emergency call buttons are not answered promptly, sometimes 15 min. or more. They don't regularly check the batteries in call buttons. No maintenance man hired. No activities director at this time. Staff is not adequate and high turn over rate.

Disaster area!

Where did all the familiar faces go? This facility has gone downhill and fast with the current buyout from [remove] and the unqualified, new Director who transitioned from Activities. My parents have called [removed] their home for the last few years. Now, the staff is almost non-existent with the sudden departure of some of their (and my) favorite employees. No full-time nurse and the time management of medications is really fouled up. We have started searching for a more suitable, stable community to move my parents too. Such a disappointment.

Mom's Care at Trinity Oaks of Pearland

Never, ever place your relative or friends in this facility. The atmosphere is dreary...the place is dirty...and the staff is uncaring. The administrator is inexperienced and will Not Return Phone Calls. After my mother became ill, it was difficult to get additional assistance for her. Cornerstone took over a few months ago and the place immediately went downhill but did I mention the rates went up. My mother passed away in this facility and I received a call yesterday that I have to pay an additional 30 day rent because we did not give a 30 day notice so the 30 days begins at her death. Unbelievable!!!

Steer clear!

Director doesn't have the capability of running facility. They make up things as they go along. Residents complaining about how bored they are there. Limited activities and supervision especially on weekends. No nurse on site. She quit after a few months. "On call" weekend personnel consist of a receptionist, maintenance man, a nurse when they had one and the director. And only during the daytime. Understaffed. Must work on commission when they get a lease signed. ??

Going downhill quickly

This place has gone downhill fast since Cornerstone bought them out. It used to be an amazing place. Now the good staff are leaving. They hired a very inexperienced executive director who doesn't seem to care about problems at all and is not doing a good job at addressing issues. The food is getting worse by the day. So sad. We were happy here for 6+ years and are now looking to relocate.

Very Bad Experience

My mother did not have a good experience at Chandler Memory Care. She received little attention and was not taken care of very well. She was not watched. Most of her clothes were [Removed]. There were very few activities besides watching tv. There were a few good workers. Most of the workers spent a lot of their time in the office talking. They did not have a nurse on duty the majority of the time. All in all it was a horrible experience for my mother, and her mental state went very far downhill while she was there. The facility is beautiful, but the care she received was very inadequate.

They Will Add False Charges

My mom was living here till they changed ownership. My first bill with them doubled in a month! I was threatened to pay or it will be reported to credit bureau, so I paid but have not been able to get a refund for a lot of false charges. They bill based on "a la carte charges". The administration is horrible NOT the care staff. Her care was great and the staff loved my mom, I did not want to move her but we had to due to false charges.

No, No, No

Totally agree with Courtney and Lauren. My mother was here when it was Emeritus and it was lovely with great staff. Once Brookdale took over it changed drastically as "it is a business" as I was told by administration. The charges listed on here are so wrong. It is much more and they change charges on a whim. I received a $9000/mo bill for charges they decided to back bill me on for they never had me sign contracts on. I removed my mother to a lovely place where she died peacefully and well taken care of. I can only wish this for your loved one. It is not Brookdale. OH, they turned my dead mother into collection for their billing errors.

As for activities there is not a while lot, the building used to be alot cleaner and it should never be aloud to hire friends underneath you as you are the supervisor. some staff members seem to care but really dont. There is favoritism among the caretakers that tattle tail on every little thing..the building is becoming a mess and the residents are complaining..they have every right to voice their opion...they do pay enough..someone needs to really listen to them...

A DISGRACE OF "NURSING CARE"

I would not recommend Brookdale to my worst enemy. They are highly understaffed and have no compassion for their residents. Their turnover rate of employees is outrageous, and this is because anyone that is good at their job gets tired of being underpaid and underappreciated and leaves. They have no hiring standards and even hire people from Wal-Mart as new aides, that have no patient care training and NO compassion at all and yell at residents. Your family member may sit in their own urine or feces for up to 2 hours without any attention to the matter, and then be told that they're having "phone issues" and their call button didn't work. Mind you, this is the excuse that has been given for almost a year now......The director has NO interest in patient care and is only concerned about the corporate side of things (aka the money). If you view the place and interview to send a loved one there they will paint a VERY pretty picture and things will go well for.....maybe a few months.....but then everything will begin going downhill and you will see the true way in which things are handled. They have no problem promising extra care and CHARGING you for that "extra care", but don't expect to receive the extra care you have been promised. But don't worry, it will be on your bill, and you will be expected to pay the outrageous amount they charge you, all for your loved one to fall out of bed, sit in dirty depends, and not receive appropriate personal hygiene standards. Not ALL employees should be lumped in the same category, some of them DO care about the patients, but they are the ones in the kitchen, the activities, the housekeeping, not the ones actually CARING for your loved ones. Overall, this facility is good at TAKING YOUR MONEY but NOT good at providing care to your loved one.

At one point, this was the Finest Assisted Living in Middle Tennessee. (Tennessean Reader's Poll (2013) of 17,600 plus voters) 2010-til spring of 2014. Then it "merged" from a "Locally Owned and Operated Senior living community" to a "Chain" and just like a Chain, you get Trash for the exchange of your hard earned money. (The local dog pound takes better care of their inhabitants than the Maristone of today.)

Poor

Don't send your loved one here. Very inconsistent care, especially for the Alzheimer's community. Often my father is unshaven and not clean. Many issues with administering medication properly, and logging info and poorly trained staff. Unless you plan to become a baby sitter for your loved ones care, don't choose this place.
