Staff have been great to work with, overall they have assisted my mom with many daily tasks. Unfortunately when mom says she does not want to shower they don't push. They need to insist. Mom likes the food unfortunately she is not good at engaging in talk during dining which i hope good improve the longer she is there. She is also not proactive in participating in activities but I hope that will improve with time. Her room is the perfect size. [name removed] bigger and she would want to move around and she may fall more. She is having a tough time realizing she has a button she wears around her neck and can alert staff if she needs help.

I can tell you that the marketing lady, [name removed] was extremely helpful and welcoming and informative. Also, the ladies who are on the front desk and answer the phone are just delightful ladies to talk to, their names are [name removed] and [name removed] Also, [name removed] in accounting has been wonderful to deal with as well as [name removed] , the head of Maintenance. I would unreservedly recommend Forest Hills Commons as a clean and welcoming environment for any resident. I believe they have gone out of their way to make my dad feel welcome in his new home. It's a nice clean facility and there's lots of activities for people to participate in. I have only been in the dining room once with my father and I would honestly have to give the food maybe a three out of five? However, the dining room staff is very attentive to all the residents and I think they do a good job.

My Mom was not at Maristone very long, but the time she spent there, she received excellent nursing care. Between the inhouse nursing staff and the visiting hospice staff, they had her needs covered. She did not have much of an appetite and the staff tried their best to cover every meal, even if she didn’t care for the dining room meals. I appreciated their concern to feed her, keep her clean and dry, and to contact me with any incidents so I could get to her quickly. I truly appreciate the leadership from the Director of Nursing, the other licensed caregivers and the new management. Unfortunately my Mom passed, she was surrounded by many caregivers, from Maristone and Hospice providing love and support by making her comfortable and staying with us until her last breath. Many thanks.

The staff is friendly and very helpful. Makes worthwhile suggestions. They also show great concern about my father. Facilities are great, well-maintained, clean, and if my father isn't satisfied with something they go out of their way to accomodate him.

Love the Friendliness. And the activities they do try to keep the Residents. Entertained. Need to improve on the food. Overall, I would put my mom back there if she wanted to go of course, it's way too expensive, but that's like all the places.

The staff is wonderful and keeps me updated on everything going on with her big or small. The room size is great and they have many layouts to offer. They recently had a change in activities director. He is wonderful and keeps them on their toes.

The main issue there was that our mother's things kept me taken by residents who roamed. We understand that might be a little normal in a memory care facility but the director didn't seem to think it was a big deal. Once when a pair of her shoes were taken, he said, well she doesn't really need shoes anyway.

I feel care has not been as good as it was when owned by [name removed]. We have had some difficulty with the new DON being somewhat difficult to approach and problem solve with. New Admin seems to be more concerned about rules and regs than with what is best for residents. Hopefully this will improve with some time. The food is absolutely amazing. The techs that do the hands on care are wonderful and caring. Facility is very clean.

I never ate there and my dad did not participate in the activities. He is mostly non verbal now. Nice people and friendly staff.

Staff was mostly very friendly and attentive. Dad enjoyed the food sometimes and sometimes not so much. There were some staffing shortages while he was there. The nurses that managed his meds were great and kind. I would recommend the community. Dad enjoyed his own space and sense of autonomy.

I felt like the facility was nice and up to date. They really didn't have hardly any activities for the residents. Nothing for them to do, but sit in their room. I would recommend them, but they now have different owners. Not sure of any changes.

These ratings were for someone with advancing dementia (w/ varying agitation) and advanced incontinence so those factors should be taken into account for our situation. All staff workers that we encountered were helpful and very cooperative. We found BGAL to be better than our experiences with Signature Healthcare personnel overall for sure, and there was the occasional caring attendant at Signature Healthcare but enough less than cordial personnel to be disappointed with that facility.

Maristone is a lovely facility. My mother loves it but we have had some issues with things missing. Luckily, most were found. Compared to others I visited I would rate this a 4.5. The employees are very friendly and take good care of my mother. I would recommend this facility over others I visited.

My loved one is currently a resident at Forest Hills Commons and everything has been quite acceptable so far. My loved one appreciates the food and the care that he receives, even though it has taken him awhile to get used to being there. The staff are all helpful and friendly, we enjoy chatting with them. I would recommend Forest Hills Commons to others.

My loved one is a resident at Cardinal Landing Memory Care. We're a bit unhappy with residents who roam the halls and take things out of rooms that aren't theirs. I guess we could recommend this facility for people whose loved one needs memory care. They do seem to keep them very busy, which I think helps a lot. The food looks great when we've seen it. The Director doesn't seem to think the missing items are a big deal. Despite our issues, this is where our loved one needs to be.

Overall it is a good fit for my parents. As with any place there are issues. Again my main concern is the communication and lack of care conferences. Yes, I would recommend. It is a nice facility and my parents are doing well there.

I felt the facility and grounds were very nice and well maintained. The memory care fenced yard where some of the residents planted things was enjoyed by my mother and me. Most of the staff were very caring and had a tough job because They were understaffed at times. Aides named [name removed] and [name removed] a were angels. I felt like the medical staff seemed overwhelmed at times and patient's meds were nor always given correctly. I know a facility like yours is not the same as being home but for many it is the safest place to be. I visited everyday whole my mom was there and their are many dedicated people who have good hearts caring for the patients.

I picked this community because they were one of the few places near me that would accept my dad even though he is a 2 person transfer. I will say that the employees are nice to my dad.

I have found that the services provided are not quite what they were presented. For example, weekly light housekeeping might be done every 10 or 12 days. Weekly laundry, very spotty, again every 10 or 12 days. The food amount provided is rather skimpy, especially in the evening meals. When my mother said that they go to bed hungry, it almost broke my heart.

the employees working at the community are very nice, and our loved one likes the meals that are prepared. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.
