I like the fact that the staff are warm and nurturing to my mother. She has made a lot of progress while she has been there. The place is always clean, my mother has a studio apartment and when I go visit her, the bed is always made, the bathroom is clean, and the floors are vacuumed. I was there during her meal time and the food looked good, she seemed to have a decent portion size.

My husband and i were there for a little over a week and we never felt more at home. The staff were great! When we left we actually cried leaving the girls was so hard. They were so of the most compassionate and caring individuals that we have ever met! Shannon was great ! she even came in to help with my husband when i couldn't be there for him. Dallas died on October 26 th at home as he wanted to do and i am never more grateful for a bunch of people than i was those girls! thanks again for all your care and concern! When no other facility would even give my husband a try Bluegrass took us in and loved us as if we were their family!

This seems to be a cut above the other local assisted living places. My mother is currently living here. They are extremely friendly, dedicated to cleanliness, and the food is very good. The staff is helpful and attentive, although promises for bigger initiatives (moving, fixing, etc.) sometimes take awhile to materialize. The fee is slightly higher than the others, but it will not go up if additional level of care is needed. The senior staff seems to take a personal interest in the well being and socialization of the clients.

I highly recommend Maristone. The place is smallish, cozy, and easy to navigate. It feels like a home rather than an institution. Everyone who works there is friendly, supportive, and attentive. My mother has had warm attention and great care. I very much enjoy visiting mom, not only to see her, but also to see everyone else whom I've grown close to. The activities director is lovely; she really cares about all the residents. She also plans to expand the activities, and I think that would be great. I've also noticed that ideas and recommendations I have made have been duly noted. I hoped for more music and singing, so the director of Maristone is working on getting a choir organized! A wonderful place.

Everything is going well for my mom at Emeritus at Long Cove point. They try very hard to make a nice place there!

At present we will only use the day care. We have used it one time and were VERY happy

[name removed] was very helpful when she showed me around the facility. The size of the facility was appealing and it was nicely updated. It was tucked back away from busy roads and it was quiet.

Yes overall was a good place for us. There was a lot going on it seems when we moved in- people changed in mgt, nursing staff, new website, etc but the staff handled things excellently! Building has some issues (flooded from rains in one apartment there), bathroom in lobby out of order a lot, false alarms -but they seem to be all over it quickly. They react to everything quickly. Had a little issue with the call button being fixed but it got sorted with a new one finally. Food is good but not consistent. That's probably mom's biggest complaint but she likes it most of the time. Everyone has been great and helpful. Mom likes sitting outside and says it's breezy even when hot. Oh room size was good. But she got the bigger size.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. We were a little disappointed with the fact of my dad's memory that his bottom got raw, which my mom is getting him healed. We wanted to get physical therapy started there before he left for strength but we were unable to do so. I would recommend to others.

Overall, we have had a positive experience with the community. The environment is clean, the activities are enjoyable, and most of the staff have been attentive and caring. The transition has taken some adjustment, and we understand that adapting to a new routine takes time for both residents and caregivers. There have been some challenges, including changes in eating habits and occasional mix-ups with personal belongings, but we recognize that these can happen in a care setting. The team has been responsive when questions come up, and communication with leadership has been helpful. We appreciate the safety features in place and the overall setup of the community. Our main area of concern is ensuring there is always adequate staffing support available, especially during unexpected situations. Overall, we feel the community is doing a good job and continues to provide a supportive environment.

This facility was nice and welcoming. The search for my dad has been off to a good start, but I believe this is going to be the place he calls home.

Activities for MC unit are minimal. It is clean, safe and med management is good.

They are making some changes in leadership at the moment. I think this is a good thing. Continuity of care - communication between NP and staff , staff and staff , staff and care givers regarding each patients individual needs could be improved. I love Mom's nurses and care givers. They are all wonderful and we are establishing good relationships. I think just improving communication skills for continuity of care FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL resident would put them to 5 stars for sure.

All staff are kind and seem engaged. The kitchen staff are hard to keep and serve the residents.

This was my first visit to any facility as I research assisted living/memory care options for my sister. Having no basis for comparison, I found Forest Hills to have many of the qualities I am looking for. I had a wonderful tour guide and I do feel as if I had a very comprehensive visit.

Cardinal Landing is extremely clean and well-maintained. The staff are all very kind and seem attentive to the residents. There does seem to be a shortage of staff, however. I realize it's difficult to find people for this work; so the management may be doing the best it can. I have lunch with my wife often, and the food is always good. The kitchen staff are very accommodating and flexible on diets. I'm not sure how many of the listed activities are actually done. The daily list of activities is impressive, but I visit at different times, and the activity that's listed is usually not being done. This may also be due to a shortage of staff. I would certainly recommend Cardinal Landing. I feel very good about my wife being there. I'm sure if the staff could be increased just slightly, all would be fine, and I could give a definite 5 rating.

Residents and staff have been very welcoming to my mom. Activities for residents are well spaced out through the day. Facility is smaller and has a very cozy feel. Nice courtyard in center section gives it a safe contained setup. Has on site memory care if loved one progresses to that need level. Set up on medical model which is also a nice safety net.

I would recommend. Just as in every home, someone needs to be checking on your loved one regularly. They try to make it as cheerful as possible. They have a lot of events. Everyone there is so nice.

Overall very good value compared to other facilities we looked at. A little short staffed which is the case with many places as I have heard from people who have family in other facilities. Staff members are very nice and friendly for the most part a few can be a bit short sometimes the nurses are very good with her medications and we just had to switch pharmacies because of insurers and where helpful with that. The studio apartment is enough room for her and her 2 cats love seat and lift chair dresser and night stand. There are plenty of scheduled activities and the dining room has lots of options as well as in room dining when not feeling like going down to meals.

Friendliness is great except for one lady in the cafeteria that always seems to be irritated about something. Care services -having a hard time getting the doctor to fill out paperwork but other than that, the Care seems to be great. Meals and dining - seems like y'all could have fresher food instead of just frozen food all the time. Frozen veggies come out mushy canned fruit has never been good. Activities - I would like to see different events for them that they can engage with besides just bingo Value for cost - I think for the price they should have more activities available to them and the food should definitely be better. That was one of the selling points. They told us it was home-cooked meals and this is far from home-cooked meals. It's all frozen food or at least 90% of it is. I believe breakfast is not so much frozen as the dinners are.
