The food is excellent and the organization is top notch. They all go out of there way to make sure your loved one feels welcome and not abandoned. They are professional and on top of their game. On more than one occasion they have taken extra measures to help or come to the rescue of my 93 year old mother. Everyone has an inflated title but they all seem to want to live up to the titles by exhibiting autonomy and professionalism in discharging there duties with kindness and authority....a necessary but essential pairing often very difficult to balance. Transitions are rough for anyone but the programs and outings and games all tend to keep the place a happy place to be in spite of the circumstances. My Mother needs help keeping track of her meds. They take care of everything from refills to administration. Of the literal hundreds of available activities I could only wish for one additional thing. Maybe a class on managing your smart phone. I know even I could use that. Mom was able to keep her little Shitzu who gives her great comfort and the courtyard is a great place to let her run around because it's a large manicured enclosure.

A great place for someone who thought they did not want to leave their home. Mom has found caring people, not only in the staff but also the other residents at Trinity Oaks....a very close knit family.

The first time we visited, my mother got back in the car and said, "I think this is the place I want to be." We had visited several others and still visited a couple of other places. But this was the place she chose. Reasons: - The food is amazing...and, yes, we tried it out at our second visit on the spur of the moment. - There are usually people walking around, sitting in available places all over the place....visiting! - The staff is very friendly, nice, and accommodating. If one doesn't know something, they'll find out. - Visitors are welcome whenever - all the time! - They are willing to take residents just about anywhere they need...doctors, hair appt., to eat lunch out, shopping, even appts in the Medical Center! - They recognize family members of residents. - There, of course, are numerous scheduled activities. And some residents get together for other visiting. - There are activities to which families are welcome. - They actually practice fire drills. - Worship services are available most days. Our only complaint is that only Baptist services are available. My mother tried it once or trice, but she just wasn't comfortable with the delivery of the message/service. I think she'd be more comfortable with a Lutheran, Presbyterian, Episcopalian or, especially Methodist service, as she is a lifelong Methodist. Maybe something casual later morning or afternoon sometimes during the week a couple of times a month. There are several congregations near that might come. It would be nice if they could accommodate non Baptist residents. Better, it would be nice if she could ride with someone who can drive to church, but have heard it's not allowed. (don't know for sure) - She hasn't been living there quite 3 months, but seems to be enjoying herself, eating well, and meeting new people. - I don't worry so much about her although she is much farther from me than before. - The cost is certainly reasonable. - She doesn't need as much assistance as many, but what she needs, she can usually get. Sometimes its hard for her to get info from the nurse on staff, I guess because she's better off than some others. But we're finding I can touch base with the nurse to get a response. Nothing has been refused, just a bit slow. All in all this has been a good fit for my mother!

My grandma is here and she loves it. All the paperwork and the assessment felt seamless and reasonable. She loves her caregivers she calls them my girls. The staff is very friendly. They have always honored our special requests. Her room is fantastic and spacious. It feels like an apartment not a hospital room. She is raving about the food and the new chef. She enjoys some of the daily activities and the have communion 1x a week and mass 1x a month. There are a few minor things that can be fixed such as the nursing staff not signing off on the meds and better communication between them. I would recommend this community.

I have an aunt that I visit at your facility. I have noticed many improvements the last couple of weeks. It feels like a totally different atmosphere. We were considering moving her, Not now. My mother has lived there for 2 years now. In early 2016 I was on the verge of moving her out due to so many issues with staff and care. Then the entire management team was replaced and we had a meeting to discuss moving. The Executive Director asked me to give them a chance to make the needed changes. I am so happy that I did. The new team came in and made this facility a home. They genuinely care and give of themselves every day. My Mom is happy and cared for and loved. It is evident in her positive change and will to live. The activities and food really increase her quality of life and she has made some great friends. This community has a heart of gold and there is no way I would ever want her to be anywhere else.

This is a community I would recommend. So far it is working out well for my mother since her move here. I know she is in good hands, they have a nice staff at this facility. They are helpful when needed, and has been kind when I visit. The community, and her room is well-kept, they do a good job with the cleanliness. The meals are nice, and she has gotten involved in some of the activities they have available. She does an exercise every morning. She is doing well, and I'am satisfied with all they have done for us.

My sister and I were so happy to secure a room at Bluegrass Assisted Living for our mother. The staff were so friendly and took a real interest in our mom. We could relax and not worry about her for the first time in a long time. We were hoping she would be able to remain at Bluegrass for many years, but unfortunately, she declined so rapidly, she had to leave assisted living and go into a nursing home. Based on our experience, we would recommend Bluegrass Assisted Living to anyone looking for a nice, caring facility at an affordable price.

All personal is always ready to help. Only problem is the communicating system is lacking. The signal for getting help is not getting to the people it needs to.

I like the fact that the staff are warm and nurturing to my mother. She has made a lot of progress while she has been there. The place is always clean, my mother has a studio apartment and when I go visit her, the bed is always made, the bathroom is clean, and the floors are vacuumed. I was there during her meal time and the food looked good, she seemed to have a decent portion size.

My husband and i were there for a little over a week and we never felt more at home. The staff were great! When we left we actually cried leaving the girls was so hard. They were so of the most compassionate and caring individuals that we have ever met! Shannon was great ! she even came in to help with my husband when i couldn't be there for him. Dallas died on October 26 th at home as he wanted to do and i am never more grateful for a bunch of people than i was those girls! thanks again for all your care and concern! When no other facility would even give my husband a try Bluegrass took us in and loved us as if we were their family!

This seems to be a cut above the other local assisted living places. My mother is currently living here. They are extremely friendly, dedicated to cleanliness, and the food is very good. The staff is helpful and attentive, although promises for bigger initiatives (moving, fixing, etc.) sometimes take awhile to materialize. The fee is slightly higher than the others, but it will not go up if additional level of care is needed. The senior staff seems to take a personal interest in the well being and socialization of the clients.

I highly recommend Maristone. The place is smallish, cozy, and easy to navigate. It feels like a home rather than an institution. Everyone who works there is friendly, supportive, and attentive. My mother has had warm attention and great care. I very much enjoy visiting mom, not only to see her, but also to see everyone else whom I've grown close to. The activities director is lovely; she really cares about all the residents. She also plans to expand the activities, and I think that would be great. I've also noticed that ideas and recommendations I have made have been duly noted. I hoped for more music and singing, so the director of Maristone is working on getting a choir organized! A wonderful place.

Everything is going well for my mom at Emeritus at Long Cove point. They try very hard to make a nice place there!

At present we will only use the day care. We have used it one time and were VERY happy

Overall, mom's experience at Forest Hills Commons has been good. Staff seem to genuinely care about patients and facility seems to be right size for residents to become familiar with each other and make friendships. Activities program is very well run though I wish there were more activities on the weekend. Nursing care is out and nurses seem to do well with residents. Facility Director does not engage with residents and family members as much as I would like to see. Food as with most facilities is okay but my mom who has dementia would benefit from more visual tools of what is available. Carpet is very dated and worn but my understanding is that it is going to be replaced but that was communicated over 3 months ago with no action yet. Mom enjoys facility and other than food is a satisfied resident

The tour was good and everyone was nice and friendly. When I was first there, there was no one at the front desk. I know I was expected since my name was on the welcome sign. I had to hunt down someone since the meeting time was passing and I didn’t want to think I was late. The same thing happened when I went there to sign the contract. I wished I had recorded the meeting with the sales rep since when I met the manager since she wasn’t there and I thought she had offered a better benefit to pick them compared to when I signed the contract.

The staff is great, there are lots of activities that my father-in-law enjoys, and the apartment is just the right size. The only thing keeping me from giving them a 5 is that there has been some confusion with his meds more than once, which seems like a critical function. They do straighten it out quickly but it shouldn't require me or my husband to take action each time. But overall we're very pleased. This was a very challenging process and the people at Trinity Oaks have really helped with the adjustment period. We live out of state and it's comforting to know that my husband's dad is being well cared for when we're not around.

[name removed] was very helpful when she showed me around the facility. The size of the facility was appealing and it was nicely updated. It was tucked back away from busy roads and it was quiet.

Yes overall was a good place for us. There was a lot going on it seems when we moved in- people changed in mgt, nursing staff, new website, etc but the staff handled things excellently! Building has some issues (flooded from rains in one apartment there), bathroom in lobby out of order a lot, false alarms -but they seem to be all over it quickly. They react to everything quickly. Had a little issue with the call button being fixed but it got sorted with a new one finally. Food is good but not consistent. That's probably mom's biggest complaint but she likes it most of the time. Everyone has been great and helpful. Mom likes sitting outside and says it's breezy even when hot. Oh room size was good. But she got the bigger size.
