We chose Aspire at West End because of the newness of the facility and it looked very updated and modern. The staff here were also extremely friendly during our tour. The apartment sizes are great and they have lots of options depending on what you may need. I would recommend to others who are looking.

It was exactly what we needed. My mom had shoulder surgery and needed to be someplace where she could be monitored and fed and have help if she needed it for a two-week period. They were the only place nearby that offered respite care for a logical amount. I thought it was a great value, and the cheapest we found.

Good tour, seemed to be better equipped to care for my loved one.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a nice community but it was a very quick run through, we wish we could of spent more time speaking with the staff and looking around the community.

We chose Atria Stony Brook because of the affordability and also they provided the services that he needed at the time. Given the covid situation, I think the staff are doing the best that they can. It has had an impact, but they are doing a great job considering the limitations. I would recommend them to others looking.

The day to day staff who have interaction with the residents are great, the house keepers are great but the medical staff at times seem to be overworked which is understandable. The issues we are having is the lack of communication from the top of management all the way down, and the follow through of things that were promised. What sold us right away was the friendliness of the residents, they came right up to us on our tour and introduced themselves. They offered to take us on a tour also, and were just very open and welcoming. There are some things our loved one does not like with the meals but overall she is eating well, we do wish they had a exercise room but they do have a pool which our loved one was able to utilize before closing down for the season.

Facility is friendly with staff getting to know Mom and family members. Very supportive of the moving in process and being flexible with getting Mom settled. Food is good with options for each meal. Weekly meal plans allow matching Mom's eating patterns. They were good with managing positive Covid test results and offered safe options for visitation. The primary trouble area is their service to transport the resident to medical appointments. There have been a few missed or late appointments due to limitations with that service.

Azpira at Windermere was very nice. It was just a little bit too far away from all the friends and family members who wanted to be able to visit her often.

Excellent tour. Host very knowledgeable of the facilities and was helpful in providing information regarding activities. Explained process of applying for admission. Tour involved seeing some of the apartments.

This was a good place, but nothing stood out to me about it.

They could improve on their communication with the residents on what is going on and what to do such as if you need a haircut how do we set that up? If we have a doctors appointment how do we set that up? That is our main complaint.

We chose Azpira at Windermere because we liked the location and the overall look of the facility. The room sizes are small but comparable to others that we looked into. I think they could improve on the variety on the menu, they serve a lot of chicken. Overall I would recommend to others looking.

Although my mom has only lived at vitality for [dates removed] I have been pleased with the attention given to her thus far. When she presses her button for assistance they are promptly there which is comforting. From the sales counselor to the activity director and all other staff thus far, has been impressive along with the food.

We looked at 4 facilities and we chose St. Gabriel because it is really close to my home so I can get here quickly and I met with the director and I really liked him and how he interacted with the residents. My mother moved in right after covid was kind of ending, so they were still trying to get staff back up. I am very pleased with the level of care that she is receiving. The food is very good, I was able to eat quite a few meals with her, they are chef prepared. I have recommended them to several folks. I really like how things are done here and the informality of it.

Initially when our loved one moved in the meals were really great, but now they have flipped and we aren't sure if they got a new chef or what. Also one of the main reasons we chose this community was the opportunity to get involved with their activities. They have a pull there, however it has been closed since our loved one moved in. They are having trouble keeping it operational, the hot water element keeps breaking and there is some kind of parasite that is living in the pool water. The other activities either fill up to quickly for our loved one, or they are during her work hours.

They still stay in touch with me from time to time. It looked very nice, they were doing some construction during our tour so not everything was done yet. It was a clean facility. We met a couple of residents and they were very friendly. I do wish I saw more staff during our tour. The pay is al a carte so they have different tiers of care.

Very nice facility. Since it's new, everything is top notch. Good size and nice amenities. In the end, we decided on a location closer to family.

It's a very nice place, and I would recommend it. I would say definitely go and check it out for your family. It's really a lot like an apartment, some 1-bedroom, some open-plan, and the bathrooms are nice. But the residents also have the benefits of assisted living. They wear a watch with a call button they can press for help if they need it. It's always clean when I come to visit, and I've never noticed any smells. They clean the residents rooms and provide assistance with showers, medications, things like that. They show concern for the residents, and if my loved one doesn't feel well, they'll check on her. They're very good about that. The staff really are very nice people. My loved one gets along well with everyone there and seems to be pleased. They're very friendly to me as well. They've been very conscientious with Covid protocol, which is good. They require masks, inquire about status of shots, and test visitors for fever. Activities have been curtailed a bit, but they're doing the best they can. I think the cost here is very reasonable.
