I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. They do a really good job in caring for the residents. The admissions manager is fabulous, and has been able to continue to follow up with my loved one and their care. There are three meals served daily. The community is able to accommodate the residents in where they eat, whether that be in the dining room or in their own room.

Our loved one says the meals and dining service is just excellent and she is really enjoying all of the activities. She loves the different exercises classes and the pool programs. She also loves the arts and crafts and is now apart of a committee. It is a little higher in price then what we expected but you do get a lot of bang for your buck. The location is also very convenient for us

If you're looking for a nice, safe place in a memory care unit,. I would recommend this community. This has been a great experience for my loved one. The staff are great to work with. The community had some staff that had been there for around 30 years, and it seemed to show the community was treating their staff well. The community was able to respect my opinion, and they were good at calling me anytime my loved one had an incident to keep me informed. Laundry services, basic cable, utilities, linen changes, room and housekeeping were included in the monthly fee. The community wasn't always thinking about dietary restrictions during meal times at first. The community was able to fix this for us.

We had a good tour experience with The Lodge at Aspen Village. The reason I did not go with this facility was because the atmosphere felt dark and gloomy and I wanted something that was bright and cheerful.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a nice tour but we did not like how the memory care part was separated from the assisted living part

They have very caring staff here. I believe they could be a little more heavy on staffing; however, this is probably wide spread in this industry. I think there is some turn over of staff as well. The staff are very receptive to the residents needs and work well with the family. The community brought in a new head of dining and are upping their game on food. Prior to this new head of dining food was a lower rating, than current. Call button response time could be improved as well.

We had a really good tour with Azpira at Windermere. The facility is absolutely beautiful. The one drawback for us was that it is multiple levels and we were looking for a facility that was all one level memory care so this just did not fit what we wanted.

The apartments and cottages are nice. If you like to eat, don't do it. They are very small portions. The food seemed to have fillers, like banana bread with beans. Meals are cooked in the morning and then sit under close to the meal time and then placed in the frig to pick up later. The food seems dry like it set out for a long time. The food is unappetizing. They seem to reuse the same foods. Like overheating the same breads to use over a few days. Like we wouldn't notice. I should have asked more questions in the beginning.

They have a new memory care director at this community and they are working very hard to make it good for people with dementia and Alzheimer's. They are working hard to create a great atmosphere. They have an activity director that tries to gear the activities to what is happening in the world. They had a super bowl party and other themed parties to match what is going on. They also have puzzles and more and things that the residents like to do.

My loved one had a short stay here. There didn't seem to be a great deal of onboarding activity or information. And so for a few days, my loved one thought he had to go eat dinner in another building. I ended up spending a lot of time on the phone with them in the time that he was there, trying getting him settled and acclimated, asking for somebody to check on him, checking on medications, etc. I felt like I got a lot of lip service from the staff, that they would tell me what I wanted to hear. And perhaps I didn't know the right questions to ask. But the whole experience was more difficult than I had hoped it would be.

This community did not have the washer and dryer in the rooms and did not have a stove. It was also to far for me and we did not want to be that far away from everything that I needed.

I would say that this is a very nice facility for you or your loved one. It is well kept and it is expensive. However, in this type of community you really get what you pay for and we see that. They have activities like bingo, poker, live entertainment and comedians that come in to the community. They even have a happy hour and pizza parties for the residents. They have lots of activities for any residents that are willing to participate. It is very beautiful front and center.

I say a double 5! Most of the staff that comes in are perfect. Then we have a few other staff members that seem a little bothered. When I push the button, sometimes its a few minutes and sometimes that is over 10 minutes waiting for help.

The St. Gabriel community is a beautiful place, and even with the staff being short handed we do know they are trying their best and they are wonderful people. Due to them being short handed which is an understanding, there are still some promises that were made that have not been followed through with. Also the meals could be improved, that is a constant complaint for our loved one.

The facility is very nice, clean and decorated nicely.. the staff and residents are very nice.

The accommodations/apartments are very nice. It seems like they have a good bit of activities. I was under the impression that there was going to have more field trips. The food is almost non-edible. None of the family that was in attendance for a family event at the community was able to eat the food, and it was served cold. I have been trying to get in contact with the director several times about this and the director hasn't contacted me back about the food.

For the most part, it has been good. There are some things they need to work on. Their call button system is not working really well. My loved one could push the button in the middle of the night and may have to sit there for a while and find out that her button didn't register. For the most part, the staff has been really nice, aside from just a couple of people. They usually respond to concerns in a positive way. They told me from the get-go if there was a problem, they would like us to come to them first and try to work it out, which we've tried to do. My loved one tells me sometimes the food is really good. Other times, she gets tired of it or it's not to her taste. At night, they usually have a choice between salad / sandwich / soup, which she gets tired of. They do have a chef on staff, but he tends to make more exotic meals than she's used to - a lot of German food with cabbage in it. But other times she says the food is really delicious.

I really like them. It's a very good place. For the food, you can order a la carte, and it's good clean food (not processed). For example, you can order a nice piece of salmon, potatoes, veggies. Most of the staff is excellent. The one negative is they don't communicate well between their internal groups, and you just don't know who you need to talk to when you have an issue. I would love to see them put together a roadmap so you can see how everything works. But it's a nice place overall.

Vitality Living was alright. Not great but not that good either.
