Walden Place has violated it's contract with me, in most all aspects, since my arrival during alleged Corona Virus; though no cases validated here. Food is minimal and foul - sometimes rancid. I must purchase my own food or starve. Housekeeping occurs only biweekly. Visitors - even family - are not allowed! This place is not good, but very depressing! It does have a few well - meaning employees.

This is proof that money does not necessarily get you quality. While the facility is lovely, the difficulty in finding competent staff overshadows everything else. Even after being open for a year, management is still trying to figure things out. Since The Boulevard is part of a corporate chain, it is unclear why they should constantly have to reinvent the wheel. Sophisticated maintenance issues are being handled by general in-house staff and chronic problems persist. Current issue: air conditioning for only three of the last ten days in spite of a heat index of over 100 degrees. This treatment borders on elder abuse.

So far it has not been the best experience for myself in this community. I do not feel it is the right fit for me, and my needs. There are some improvements that need to be within this community. One of those being client relations, and also the staff needs to be more educated in what they are doing. I do not eat the meals, due to the fact the meals contain a lot of salt in them. They are not very responsive to my concerns. I will be considering a new community overall, and I would not recommend this community.

I was not very pleased with the tour I had taken of this community. The staff where not as friendly as I would have hoped and I did not feel very comfortable during my visit. I did not think this facility was as nice as the other ones I had looked at. In the end decision it was just not the right choice for me.

I did not like this place at all. The staff and the people that were in the community were not nice or friendly and they were not very accommodating to me. It came across to me as a place that I just did not want to be.

They are very nice then once you sign they treat you like a child there noise I'm not really happy with them

My mother has been at this facility for 3 years. Promised services have not been fulfilled. We battle daily to assure she gets quality care. We pickup her room and sanitize her bathroom daily. If we don't it won't be done. We purchase basic need products which were supposed to be provided. Food quality is poor. We were told they had a professional chef which proved to be false. My mother has been served foods that she is allergic to on numerous occasions. Thankfully she hasn't had any serious reactions. As a general rule the staff are kind and work hard. However, there are those whose attitudes are challenging and unkind. The price of 6k+ per month should provide exceptional care. It doesn't.

Too many problems for my parents at University Living to list, including incorrect administration of meds. The for-profit, distant corporate office model is generally not a good one for this kind of operation. Certainly true in this case.

I am not satisfied with Montvale Estates. In fact, I'm moving to a less expensive place on the 24th of this month. The laundry room is not cared for, and there's no AC in there. The fans haven't been cleaned in forever. The residents have to clean everything, including AC filters. The food had gone down in quality. There are too many chiefs and not enough Indians here.. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My Mother is there and she has bed bug now for the 2St time. She also has had [removed] and other thing taken.

Nice facility but they are having a hard time keeping employees so very hard to get questions answered once you move in. Also the independent living side only has transportation 3 days a week so don’t depend on them to take your love ones to doctor appointments.

They won't show this. The care is very poor. Assisted living technology doesn't work and response time for calls is 20-40 minutes. Administrators do nothing but say what they think you want to hear. The food is poor, care is poor and corporate is cutting corners to save money. Very poor place.

This site is deceiving. Poor food, poor care. Not at all what they advertise. The food is poor, the Bistro is empty--especially if on assisted living side. If you need help or fall, respond time is 20-40 minutes. Administration gives "lip service" but does nothing to improve the poor services and typically ignores calls. Be prepared to get "Nickel and Dimed" for services you rarely or never see. Corporate cuts corners in care. Understaffed daily. Very disappointed in the poor quality for big money. Keep looking.....

I was deceived, lied to and will not live with people like don't trust. They have not returned the deposit I paid for a studio apartment that I really liked. The previous resident moved out earlier than expected, but shortly after, they told me the unit had been double-booked and was no longer available—even though I had already signed a contract. They later offered me a one-bedroom for the same price, but never followed up. My son later visited the apartment they claimed was available, and it was completely different from what I had agreed to. It had carpet I didn’t want, and the kitchen was missing basic appliances. It felt like they were trying to pressure me into signing for a unit I did not choose, and I never signed another contract. I also sent another payment when I believed I was still getting the one-bedroom, and they have still not returned that money either. Their food reviews are not good, and the entire experience felt very shady. I would never live there. They have held onto my payments far too long despite being repeatedly told to return them.

Horrible. I had to clean my father's bathroom . When he passed he was lying on the floor covered by a sheet . Limited staff care . Go ahead try and call me out i have video footage I kept a camera in my dad's room.

I think they do a terrible job I'm not happy at all they don't even supply toliet paper they don't follow through with showers and cleaning her clothes. For what we pay I'm so disappointed

While Crestone presents as a well organized and clean community, it is anything but. The executive director is unprofessional, ignores obvious needs of residents, deflects and avoids common questions, and ultimately does little to better the experience of her residents. This lack of leadership trickles to the wellness staff, and the dining staff- each with large turnovers impacting care. Crestone has potential, but mostly they are concerned with image. I was disappointed in the care provided to my loved one. I will say there are kind people there, just not the ones that influence the other all experience.

The medical staff and others were very good for the most part, especially the Executive Director and the Wellness Director. The food and food service was mediocre at best. Maintenance was slow to respond and sometimes almost non-existent. Waiting weeks for television service to be restored, a microwave in an apartment to be replaced, electronic room keys to work, or the only bike in the fitness center (used by PT and OT) to be fixed is not acceptable.

The staff was terrible when my mom was there, they dropped her a couple of times, management changes, communication issues on when she was supposed to get showers and be ready for rehab, and just not friendly. She hated it there. They may not have been equipped to deal with the level of care she needed at the time.

HR and management of accounts and other managers need to Communicate clearly to each other. So they won't have this problem in the future. Not truthful. They said they could get [name removed] in within 3 days. Took a deposit check, then said she would have to wait two weeks. She was in a position where she needed a place asap.
