. It is nothing like I was told when I met with the sales people. No one ever has the answer to questions. They do not have many activities. You have to wait forever in the dining room. The healthcare workers never seem to want to be bothered and most of them are agency and when you ask a question they answer is always "I don't know I'm agency". The director of wellness is rude and the memory care side is even worse. I would never recommend sending a family member there and I am looking to move them

Our family had an awful experience with University Senior Living, our loved one just got terrible care while they were there. They would push the button for assistance and nobody would come. He got covid and it took the medical staff 3 days to finally look at him and notify us - we just felt he was unattended to. The executive director honestly did not care, the person below her [name removed] was very sweet and would try to get things done but it was just impossible. The meals and dining service was terrible and it just did not meet expectation's.

Please do not even think about moving here!!! It is the most poorly run and dangerous place that one can imagine. I do speak from experience. The staff (with the exception of a very few) is a group of despicable characters....they are phony, lazy, rude and nasty.... You won't get a meal in less than 45 minutes and when you do it will be cold and inedible. They will promise you everything and give you nothing. Trust me... ....and if you are dumb enough to move in....you have been warned. You will wish you never did!!!

The community itself, the cleanliness of the place and the staff were all great we did not have a problem with that. However our issues are with the cooperation, so we did not have a good experience.

The entire experience was stomach wrenching. My Father died after yelling for 2 1/2 hours for someone to come help him. They found him lying flat covered in vomit. He yelled God help me I am sick! There was no excuse for such an event to happen. If they had sat him up and called an ambulance he might be alive today. I will never know. An autopsy should have been preformed but at the time I was in shock. I have nothing good to say.

Please learn from my family's experience. Do not let your loved one live in this facility, there are too many affordable options providing better care. This facility tours very well. It offers large rooms, in-room cameras (to detect movement) it is fairly new, clean, and pretty. However, the care from staff is inconsistent at best and uncaring at worst. There are a few staff members that were excellent, but more often than not staff was inexperienced and uncaring. As my mother got older and needed more assistance the price became unaffordable. Our biggest complaint is the Director at The Boulevard St. Charles. He is unethical. The exact month my Mom became eligible for VA benefits he increased the cost of her care by 27% a month, without notifying us. If the care had not been so bad we would have worked with the Corporate Office on the cost, but instead, we chose to move my Mom out.

Beautiful facility but it stops there. Personnel do not regularly answer call buttons, putting mom's life at risk. This has been such a disappointment. Even after calls to the Executive Director, there has been no improvement. Add to that, the invoices have had multiple errors and still not fixed. I don't think an accountant could understand them. Wish we had chosen another facility.

I chose Curtis Creek because the outside of the facility looked beautiful when my friend and I drove by, so I decided to tour it. The large apartments are very beautiful here, but the small ones are very small. The best part about the community was the activities they provided, they always had something going. I would want others to know when looking into the facility that you should be cautious, they would do anything for you in the beginning and then they seemed to turn.

Over a year ago last July, my mom signed a 3 month contract to move to Arkanshire, then decided not to move in. She paid for the first two months per the contract, then [name removed] the director said that the 3rd month would be taken out of her community fee that she paid up front. He stated that the remaining amount would be refunded to her, about a $1,000. After stopping by to speak with [name removed] and many phone calls to obtain the remaining amount, there has been no check sent for the remaining amount. [Name removed] said that he would look into it and talk to the accountant, but nothing has happened. That has been our experience with Arkanshire.

Since the new director, [name removed], was hired, the facility has gone down hill. Food service is terrible. There is frequent high turnover of staff. Food quality is terrible. Only 1 elevator for entire residence. Frequently broken down. Smoking allowed in building. Residences are run down. Old appliances. Frequently broken washers and dryers. Resident theft has happened. There is absolutely no security in the building. It is truly sad to see it in such bad shape.

Kara was very kind, patient and friendly when we( my sister and I) were looking at places for my father to live. He could no longer live in his home. She gave us time to discuss what we liked or dislike. She showed compassion when things did not go well with my father. My father has thrive there. He is a very social person and has reconnected with some long lost friend from his childhood. He chose the smallest of the rooms, but regrets it. The food is good. The staff friendly. You need to be independent at this place. If you need skilled care it can get expensive but they do have contract staff available in house. Dad enjoys the activities.

Very nice place, great food and activities. Excellent mangers. We placed our there, she was there for over a month but it wasn't working out. She became ill and was hospitalized for 3 weeks and her physician wrote orders for her to be placed in assisted living after the hospital staff determined her health had deteriorated during the hospital stay. We immediately placed her in an assisted living facility and paid $2400 for the first month. Due to a clause in the Cambridge contract, we are being made to also pay for the same month rent at Cambridge. So before you place a parent there, we would advise you to take them to their physicians and have them see into the next 3 months future so you can be assured your parent won't get I'll and need more help for the first three months they reside at the Cambridge. This will avoid you having to pay the monthly rent for 2 facilities at the same time. To us it seems impossible to foresee an unexpected health crisis in a parent of their age, but we signed the contract and the Cambridge adminstration holds you to it. We were hoping there might be some consideration of the medical situation due to there being signed physicians order for more care than the Cambridge can provide. What happed to striving to take the best care of the elderly and not taking advantage of their health declines? Just trying to save other families and caregivers from a bad financial situation.

We have had several problems with this community from the beginning. Our loved ones emergency pendant was not working for about a week. When we talked to the staff about it they told us it was not in the system so it had not been activated. The dining room is unbearably hot seemed like every time we were in there the temperature was upwards of 80 degrees. The food was not very good; they cover the meats up with some kind of sauce, like gravy. When we gave them instructions on something they said they would put it in the file, yet they continued to not follow the instruction. They tell you that you must have safety needles with retractable tips and that it is a state law but when we talked to another community about it they told us it was not a state law but probably just one of their rules. We did not have the confidence in the nursing staff because when an issue would happen and we asked if we should just call emergency services they told us it was our decision, but at the time we were only speaking with them over the phone and were not present. They never called to check on our loved ones health. It seemed like the only thing they cared about was the money. Their staff called asking what was going on with our loved one because he was having multiple accidents; we thought that was something they would know best because they were suppose to be providing the care. They are not very organized. There is a $700 deposit that just goes to the community. Some of the staff spoke to me in a matter of fact type attitude when we would ask questions or bring up issues. When you pay over $5,000 for care you expect some type of care yet they only seemed to care about the money and not their residents. We would not recommend them to anyone.

We would absolutely not recommend this community, they told us lies about our loved one. The community itself was clean, but the general manager was the one that caused our problems and trouble. The sales lady we spoke with in the beginning who gave us the contract was nice, but after that point we did not speak to her again.

My mom and dad lived here. My dad died after 4 months. Everyone was supportive and wonderful and I was so thankful my mom was there. Then they were sold to Arrow Senior Living Management, LLC. Things went downhill fast. We paid for someone to shower and dress my mom. They were waking her at 4:30 am for her shower. The pandemic hit and we were not permitted to visit her. She was not getting her sevices that she needed such as walking! Her clothes were 2 sizes too small and no one at the Grande ever told us. She had bruised on her waist from ill fitting pants. We paid to have someone put in her hearing aides. They mostly didn't and when we asked about it, they put them in with dead batteries which was like putting in ear plugs. There were 80 extra batteries in her room. She developed a rash and it was allowed to spread all over her body so that she couldn't wear clothes any longer. She was prescribed anxiety medicine as needed after the death of my sister, but no one was assigned to determine when it was needed. Repeated requests for a family meeting with the Grande were ignored for weeks. She was moved to the memory care unit and we were told someone would pick what personal furniture would fit in her new room and they would move it. After a month, NOTHING was moved to her stark white room, not even a picture. She died alone without pictures of her husband or family . This is disgraceful and heartbreaking.

My mother has lived here for approximately 3 years now. It used to be a great facility for residents. Over the last year, there have been a lot of changes that nave negatively impacted residents. Much of this seems to be related to severe budget cuts. There is no security in the building anywhere. Residents have had their personal belongings stolen. It was reported to management. No one has taken action to improve this. Food quality is terrible. Many times residents do not even go down to eat any longer. It is horrible food. Many residents have come down with the novovirus in winter. There is high turnover of staff -- either by being fired, or quitting. There is only one elevator in the facility to serve all residents. It is frequently broken down leaving residents without a way to get to/from their apartments. The current activity director is lacking direction or ability to follow through on activity functions. The sidewalks are crumbling and cracked. Much of the outside shrubbery is overgrown above window ledges. The apartments are dated and old. The director of the facility spends more time outside smoking in front of the building than handling resident needs. There is no longer any consideration on the care and safety of residents.

Nice, clean place and the concept is great, however the care my relative received was horrible in the assisted living wing! They promise you everything to get you to sign up, however they didn't deliver the care they promised and we paid for. Three weeks later after finding a different facility, we are still waiting for our refund that has been promised to us. Getting someone at the facility to return a call is as challenging!
