My father (96) lived at Highlander Place for seven months. When we moved him in he couldn't believe how nice it was! He didn't expect that. He loved his caregivers. They attended to all his needs and became his friends. Highlander Place has a friendly staff who were there to help dad in any way possible. The maintenance person is a wonderful young man who helped my dad with numerous tasks in his apartment. He always had a smile and worked his best to make my dad happy. Dad also enjoyed eating in the dining room and visiting with the fellow "Vets" who reside there. Since my dad hadn't recovered from the fall he experienced last November, he's no longer able to stay in his apartment and was moved to a skilled nursing facility. He's thankful for the time he lived at Highlander Place and would still be there if it was possible.

My wife and I toured this facility in [date removed] and she moved in [date removed]. We liked the home like atmosphere and were impressed by the friendliness of the staff. Some months after the move in they remain friendly, welcoming and helpful. There was the normal adjustment period for both she and I, and the staff helped in that transition. The layout of the facility and the people made this an obvious choice for us. My wife has remarked that she feels safe at RR and "they take really good care of us". I do think that Covid protocols have effected activities negatively and that is not the fault of RR. But they still make every effort to keep the resident involved and active. If you are looking for a place that feels like home, this deserves your consideration.

The staff was outstanding! Very helpful gave lots of info also a nice walkthrough to see where your love ones are going to staying. I can’t say more about this place . You would have to see for yourself! And [name removed] was the most!??

The Highlander Place in Kelso, Washington is an outstanding place for seniors to live. The excellent care by the entire staff is reflected by the happy residents who enjoy numerous activities led by a superior Activities Coordinator. Excellent food service, wonderfully attentive nursing staff, very thorough housekeeping and strong maintenance staff round out a very enjoyable living environment for your loved one. The attentive Administration staff is totally involved in providing and safe and supportive working environment for the staff and residents. Highly recommend Highlander Place.

The essence of a community first lies with the marketer. It sets the tone for your experience in the community. When you meet a marketer as genuine and caring as [name removed], who cares deeply for her residents and community, it makes it a pleasure to bring clients to meet her. She is warm and professional. I recommend this community to clients because of that.

After living alone for 30 years, my mom decided it was time to move to Astor Place. We daughters thought that she would probably stay to herself and not participate much in social activities. Boy, we’re we wrong! Our mom has turned into a social butterfly at Astor Place. She lives her best life, with no worries and cared for wonderfully in all ways. Thank you Astor Place!

We love this place!!! If you are looking for a top notch A+ facility, look no further. They have helped my mom get through so much with her health issues. The employees here are kind and considerate, they work really hard to make sure every patient is taken care of. Everything is always so clean and everything is done promptly, I’m glad we chose this location.

I like this place very much. It always has something going on. I made a lot of friends here. I’m very happy.

While I was there I had felt the connection the residents have with each other and staff. The Staff displayed nothing but positivity and just seemed like nice people in general. Also the events that the Life Enrichment coordinator had held in the past few months looked very fun! 5 stars

My 92 year old mom moved into Astor Place in 2017. I live in Portland and communicate with staff frequently. They are very responsive, caring and professional--and provide mom with excellent care. Mom is safe there. Astor Place is one level and the facility is well maintained, sunny and centrally located. Staff dispenses my mom’s medications and takes her to most medical/dental appointments. Mom has had a few medical emergencies while there and staff always informs me immediately. Staff keeps a protective eye on her. The nurse works closely with my mom’s physician. They apprise me of anything I should know about her physical and mental status (mom has dementia), as well as any items/supplies mom needs to make her comfortable. The Life Enrichment Coordinator arranges ongoing activities and occasionally takes residents on drives in the country. Mom enjoys the meals and sits with her lady friends in the dining room. I highly recommend Astor Place to others.

I think Evergreen is a great place, I like the people and the staff. They have lots of activities that you have the option of participating in. The food area is lacking and they tell me that it's the price and so forth, and I understand that; but I think that's the only area they fall down in.

We had a very nice tour experience with Evergreen Place, it was informative. It had more of an urban feel to it and we just did not get that warm feeling we were hoping to find.

We had a great tour with Wildflower Place. The reason we did not choose this facility was because their doctors were in Waco instead of Temple and mom wanted to stay with her doctors she had. It was a great facility and would be a perfect fit for anyone.

Everything is perfect here and my mother loves it. This is a beautiful place to be and everyone is really nice and they treat my loved one with respect. Every one is always happy and the food is excellent. This is a beautiful place to be for your loved one overall. They have activities and have a calendar with everything, they have walks, a bird sanctuary, they also take them on excursions on the days that are nice. Someone comes in and does the fingernails and pampers them. They have crossword puzzles and more for the residents to do. They also have movie day with popcorn for the residents.

My parents had done some research and Cherryvale Place stood out because it was single floor living which was great because my mom is in a wheelchair so it just made sense and it had really good ratings as well. [name removed] has been super helpful during the whole entire process and has had a very open line communication. I would text her after hours and she was great about responding quickly. I would recommend to other families looking.

The activities are wonderful - our mothers favorite game is when they take the pool noodles and whack balloons back and forth to each other. One day the CNA's will set up a little nail shop where the women can have their nails painted and even get their hair done. When a holiday is close by they will do arts and crafts and decorate for the holiday. They have sing a longs, and once or twice a month with weather permitting they will take them out sight seeing and to get ice cream. They also have movie nights. We definitely recommend Cherryvale Place to other families.

They treated my loved one and us like family. When he passed, he had a dog with him. And they offered to keep the dog when we didn't have a place for him. I gave him to a friend who was unable to keep him, and Plum Creek Place took him in. They called immediately when there was any distress or trouble with my loved one. I thought the facility looked good overall. The courtyards could have been a little more inviting, but then it was Wintertime when we were there.

I would tell others that I didn't know how good an assisted living community could be until I put my loved one in to Marcy Place. The staff keeps me updated on anything going on with my loved one. If there are questions or concerns they get right on it. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Marcy Place are able to assist with medication management, bathing, and coordinating with doctors for my loved one.. There is transportation if the residents need to use it.

In the search for an assisted living community for our 90 year old mom, my sister and I found Rogue River Place to be a lovely, comfortable and smaller residential community with that familiar cozy "family" feeling. The apartments are all clean, roomy, and up to date, the staff always caring, friendly and helpful to the needs of residents and family both. There are plenty of inclusive activities, both in and outdoors, and convenient transportation to appointments, etc., also available. Kudos to Rogue River Place for their kindness, caring and compassion for having the BEST senior living community in Klamath Falls!! We love you! :)

everyone of the staff have been wonderful to both her and us. we never have to worry about her care. we trust they are doing everything to make her feel loved and comfortable.
